essentially said that because RC cars are expected to break down due to “wear and tear,” a three-month warranty is considered generous. That’s not customer support—that’s passing the blame onto the customer and writing off poor product durability as “normal.” If a product can’t last more than a few months without failing, it speaks volumes about both the quality of what they sell and their confidence in it.

I wasn’t asking for the world, just for them to take accountability for three consecutive failures. Instead, I got a dismissive cut-and-paste policy statement. No goodwill, no solution, no attempt to retain me as a customer.

Bottom line: 1. Products broke down far too quickly. 2. Customer service offered zero accountability or genuine help. 3. Warranty is designed to protect them, not the customer.

If you value your money and don’t want the headache of dealing with repeated product issues, I strongly recommend buying elsewhere.

Bought a remote control car only for it to have a fault 3 months later. The items only come with 3 month warranty. The item was fixed under warranty which was a very lengthy process. They must a small workshop as the technicians had a large backlog of work. Many promised call backs that never happened. Show details

but in fact they were the exact same items I had already bought. And he still has not taken down the ad on eBay so people will have the same issue as I did. I required the items I bought here to repair a persons tail lights and stereo speaker on their car while they were here in Queensland. But now as I've already had to wait a week for the items, I will have to purchase the same items in store somewhere else and pay more just to do one job. I sell on eBay and I have 100% customer satisfaction and I pride myself on having good communication and great packaging etc. Its just a shame that other larger online businesses take advantage of people that rely on them. My advice to them is If you can't run a business and answer customer enquiries and complaints and post their items in the time frame stated, then I would suggest not having an online store at all. People expect and deserve better especially when they expect what they are spending their hard earned money on they will receive. Like I did.

Don't waste your money on their RCs – I paid $269 for a remote control car for my grandson. He used it for literally 5 minutes before the front wheel went flying off. All the plastic inside the wheel was broken. Contacted customer service who advised they take no responsibility for damage caused by impact. It was only used down the local park on grassed areas. They then went on to advise that the replacement parts are not available. A complete waste of money! Show details

They offered a refund or a replacement with an alternative product at the same cost + shipping fees. The extra fees for return shipping and then sending replacement is a little bit annoying for an online business like this, but it's not completely abnormal (they certainly need to deal something with post-Australia).

nightmare. The faulty sensor repeatedly triggered tamper alarms without cause and now randomly sets off alarms despite no movement or unlocked doors.

Customer support was dismissive, implying incorrect mounting and referencing an installation step that isn’t even in the manual. I shared the manual and asked them to point out where these steps were included—no response. I even provided a photo showing the working sensor installed in exactly the same manner, no reply.

The product quality is inconsistent, and the support is even worse. Avoid this company if you value reliable products and proper customer service.

Lack of concern for product failure – Will not accept product failure. Short 3 month warranty on batteries. Reliable for delivering what you buy, but no after sales service for defective product. They don't care about repeat customers.

This Is A Shocker; Stay Away – They indicate item is in stock, take your money and promise 2 days packing with 2 days shipping. Should be simple right? After 5 days there is no tracking number and then the lies start thick and fast; waiting for stock transfer and will send the next day express. This goes on and on, the lies are relentless and a refund is too slow. I had to ask Paypal to step in for the refund.

Not recommended. insincere – They did not accept product failure , even when independent electronic assessment confirms a faulty component. I had no success negotiating a claim. They requested I return the product after messing me around to send pics etc , which I did.. then I did not hear from them . They would not answer my question " if I did return the product would they say its not covered and charge me to repair and re send".

Slack Service Query Callback – Sent half my order. After calling to notify them of this they had to call their pickers in melbourne to confirm. Second part of order sent promptly. For two months I have been querying the functionality of a product (3phone calls) and have been assured that a technitian of sort will look at the query and get back to me. Not happened and I don't think it will. The product works well and happy with that but I will not rate call back query service.

place for $70 (because I figured cheaper than returning it to Aus Electronics Direct). I expected to get more than 4 months use. The other car was $120 and had a fault within months. Our local RC repairer said he couldn't fix it because they only fix cars similar to the ones they sell. He recommended just replacing it. I checked my warranty and would you believe the warranty was only 3 months on this item. I wonder why. The goods I bought were bad quality and I expected more for over $100 each. Kmart has better warranties than these guys. Buy elsewhere!

What a joke of a company and you call yourself Australian!! – I read the reviews and thought ok wont get ripped off here, got ipad charger it didnt even work for three seconds, faulty goods now instead of a refund they are sending stupid emails stating I brought the wrong item which is incorrect also under Australian Consumer Law Im entitled to a refund which they are refusing to acknowledge so off to fair trading I go shame on you ripping off the average Australian!!!

After that, the RC transmitter (the one you hold to control the car) steering wheel got damaged and they replaced it free of charge after guiding me through some troubleshooting steps to help identify the issue (all emails sent to me well out of hours).

The product is definitely not meant for kids because parts can break so easily, but that fact is written everywhere when making the purchase. Luckily the parts are replaceable and it has been a valuable lesson for my kids to look after their stuff and take care of who they let use it.

In summary, it's an awesome RC Truck and we've been having a ball with it and enjoyed the purchasing experience with Aus Electronics Direct.

All in all, it was going to be two months or more of waiting for a product that might never arrive. Incredibly frustrating, poor service and false advertising on their website. Poor after sales tech support – I placed 2 orders with Aus Electronics so far, one for a complete kit and one for individual shields + modules. All ordered stock items were promptly delivered within a couple of days. It took 2 weeks for the seller to find out which IDE to use for compyling the code necessary to run the kit!!! and replaced under warranty, another one failed after a couple of months. It took nearly 3 weeks for the part to arrive!! My repeated requests for some technical information about the shields + modules (some of which even don't have a product label) remained unanswered. Conclusions: If you are not in a hurry and can wait up to 4 weeks, you can source the same products directly from China for up to 40% less. It's not worth while to pay a premium for no tech support and no spares backup.

Awful Monster Truck Quality – I wish I saw these reviews before I purchased a Monster Truck for my son! The remote was broken on arrival and the sales person claimed that we broke it! I kicked up a fuss and got a replacement. The replacement remote broke after one use. I cant believe how they can say it is worth $200 when its absolute rubbish.
