This works great as a humidifier. However it is impossible to remove the tank for emptying without spilling significant amount s of water and leaving carpets soggy. This is an issue even if you try emptying before it gets full. Show details
With a recent crisis around mould in our home, this does a great job at keeping the humidity down to keep the mould at bay. It is a little noisy so I’d be keen to try a compressor type but thought the desiccant would be a good option due to the colder climate here in Melbourne. Very happy over all and would like to purchase a smaller one to live in the bathroom.
Fabulous product. Amazing. We loved it! However, after only 4 years, it has started spraying out fine glittery particles! We rang Ausclimate, who advised that the dessicant wheel has broken - that they don't carry spares, that it can't be fixed, and that we will have to buy a new machine. VERY DISAPPOINTING
Follow-up · Out of warranty, of course! Desiccant wheel failure - unfortunately this small item could not be replaced, and we were left with no option but to replace the whole machine - at (our) considerable expense. Cost to purchase new machine = $500 Very disappointing attitude and service.

This is my second of this model, so now I have 1 at each end of my home, they work so efficiently, the amount of water it pulls out of the air, furnishings, clothing is amazing. No more mouldy leather shoes just love it Show details
THE BEST EVER!!! We’ve had our dehumidifier for about 4 years, works amazingly well never misses a beat, perfect!! Highly recommend this products++ Show details
We had a real problem with our laundry and the use of a hot air dryer. We cannot vent the hot air outside as the entire wall is a glass sliding door, nor through the slab floor nor into the roof cavity (lower floor) and this caused the entire room to be full of dripping water after we had the dryer turned on for full cycles. Walls wet, roof wet,… Read more
glass door dripping and fogged up. Just a lousy situation. Outside is really cold and clothes have no chance of drying off (think moist, cold, foggy, icy Yarra Ranges temperatures). Opening the Glass sliding door stopped the problem but let in the freezing air.
Had to try something and a bit of research yielded Dessicant Dehumidifers. Note "Dessicant", this is crucial to this situation as other dehumidifier types will not do this. After finding the right kind of dehumidifer for this situation (wasn't easy to do as the common - yet kind of related thing - that this machine does is dry wet clothes on a Laundry mode), so I went trawling brands. Not everyone has one, so the list was narrow. Looked at good reviews and ended up with this AusClimate one.
So far this machine has been incredible. Turn it on when you do the washing, leave it until the hot tumble dry finishes (wants a little time in there doing it's thing before you go straight to the dryer) and then there's absolutely nothing on the walls, roof or doors. All that wetness was sucked from the air and collected in the drawer at the bottom of the unit. This has been perfect for us. You can get smaller ones, but I opted on bigger to ensure the job gets done. It's reminiscent of a decent fan for noise and that's because in our case we have it on High rather than Auto or low just to make sure we got the results. Close the door and hear nothing. We have run it through 4-5 cycles and same results.
Extremely happy with this, have found no fault. Perhaps for some the size of this may be a problem, but we can stow it out of the way.
Dehumidifier turned the dial down on crying windows – This has been a game changer, no more crying windows or damaged timber sills. You can hear it, but easy to ‘talk over’ the noise. It does not disturb the household and runs continually in a room that was in need of help. Show details
Very efficient dehumidifier and great customer service – Purchased the dehumidifier from Bunnings 8 days ago and couldn’t be happier with it. I first contacted Ausclimate for advice about which unit would best suit our needs, and Scott was very knowledgable and gave me lots of information. I found the 10L on sale and purchased it straight away, and have used it daily since then. We have been battling… Read more · 1
mould in our bathroom, lounge room ceiling (due to a leak) and on the bedroom windows in the colder months in Melbourne and was hoping this would be the solution we needed. It’s too early to tell if our house will remain mould-free, but so far, there has definitely been none on the bedroom windows, as the unit has eliminated most of the condensation in the mornings. Due to the noise, I haven’t run it overnight, but I have it running in the master bedroom in the evenings, and again once I get up in the mornings before I go out. It might be a coincidence, but I have also been sleeping much better since I got it. We have been using it to dry our washing, and it is great for that too. I move the unit around the rooms during the day, and empty the water into my garden. I definitely recommend this product and Ausclimate for anyone with similar problems.

I am amazed on how much water it collects. I'm glad I've discovered this brand. Show details
Follow-up · The noise doesn’t bother me. I place it in the middle of the house, especially near the bathroom, so it can collect the steam from a hot shower. Since then, we haven’t had any mould on our ceiling, even during the wet and colder months.
Successful return to mould free space – It’s great. Particularly helpful if you need to dry laundry inside. Love the timer function which means I set and forget and head to work Show details · 1
Follow-up · power usage is about the same as my pump heater noise level is a bit higher than I would like but can still watch tv etc. I generally put it on to assist with laundry drying so am out or it is in other room very easy to move with a handle and not too heavy at all warms the room so cut down on heater usage on the days I use it.
Very happy with the purchase, It has helped our bedroom and other rooms stay out of condensation on the windows in the cold morning. The humidity drops from 80% to 40% over about 6 hours of running on lower power mode. Excellent buy! Show details
Follow-up · Some follow-ups on the use of the dehumidifier: 1. It uses about 0.45kw/h on low mode, the cost will depend on location, but it is less than a dollar for a whole night for us. 2. We use it in the lounge room when there are more people (about 20 sqm), and it works. 3. In low power mode, the noise is acceptable to us - not noisy, maybe close to an… Read more

I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now. It works well, seems a quality product and looks good too. If my purchasing experience had been as good as the product I would have given this a 4 star review but I purchased this from Ausclimate online after reading it would take 3-5 business days to receive the item. Given that its an… Read more
Australian company, this information made sense. After 7 days of not having received it I tried to contact the company but found no phone number just an email address. After sending an email they did not respond for about 4 days, by which time I had received it. I did not received any updates as to the progress of my shipment during this time. When I went to Australia Post to find out where it was, they advised me that the company had advised them that they would be getting the item but it was not handed over for almost a week. My point is that had I known that delivery would be unreliable and the company uncontactable, I would have chosen the other product (Ionmax) that also has good reviews (for me it was a choice between Ionmax and Ausclimate given they had the best reviews). I did not appreciate the stress of not being able to contact the company and not being updated to the items progress.

In Tasmania. I bought this as I had a different model 10 years ago from the same company that worked well but eventually stopped working. I tried this new type as it was cheaper, smaller and different technology. I put it in an upstairs room that was cool as it didn’t get sun and wasn’t used very often but I didn’t consider it damp although the… Read more
windows would get condensation and there was no mould. To my amazement over 3 days it pulled in nearly 20 litres of water! Where the hell that all came from is astonishing, I guess in the carpets, furnishing and woodwork and air. So suprised! Needless to say it works very well. Other rooms, it collected a couple of litres at most over two days. So I am very happy with it. Humidity level is now around 47% around the house which is healthy. Totally recommend this company and product. The tray is a little tricky to pull out as you have to lift the whole thing up so there is no weight on it, it it’s not worth knocking off a whole star for though.
The ultimate southern state appliance – The old house in Melbourne we moved into had mould and no ceiling fan in our bathroom. With the addition of the cool seasons “Demi” (We name our appliances) Getting out of the shower, the hottest showers, is an absolute pleasure. Never would I have thought I could get into a warm dry bathroom after a shower. This year I’ve put all of our… Read more
clothes horses into our bathroom, which is quite a squeeze, and we are drawing our loads of washing in less than 24 hours, sometimes the same day.
We also use Demi in our rooms occasionally when our doona and blankets are starting to feel cold and moist.
As North Queenslanders who moved to Melbourne last year we really struggled with the weather, and not having ceiling fans in our house to easily dry our laundry. Demi has been a game changer.
According to the Powerpal app meter reader, Power usage is pretty good/low/Cost-effective.
If you live in Southern states and you want to draw your clothes, dry out your bedrooms, keep your bathroom dry and free of mould, I cannot recommend anything more highly.
Positive reviews
During a particularly wet period, the ease of ordering and short time frame for delivery were amazing. The air quality and dryness of the clothes was unbelievable. Show details
These dehumidifiers are fantastic and work so well. The amount of water they draw out is unbelievable. They are a little noisy, but worth it for the job they do. Show details
Does a great job drying clothes inside during a cold and wet Melbourne winter. Running for an hour or so in the bathroom with the door shut dries the towels too! Show details
Negative reviews
Really disappointed.. it works well but when you empty it, the drawer is not easy to open and fills to the top. So, water pours out the holes on the top and there is always a puddle and some drops behind it. Contacted them but could not get information if this was an issue with all their products. Really disappointed as not good for the floors.
We’ve had this same unit in the past and been happy with it. This was a replacement and it has already been returned. It was very noisy when running, and the collection draw was hard to remove, meaning that the collected water spilled when removing the drawer to empty it. Has there been a change in manufacturer?? Of note is that we actually bought and returned three different units thinking we had a lemon. They were all the same. Disappointed.
Good dehumidifer, warms the air, reasonable price. Two key issues. It has a 3L water container which means it needs emptying 2-3x per day and the water container is difficult to remove and often leads to water being spilled. We have two of these dehumidifers and they both have the same problem. I would recommend an alternative dehumidifier and make sure the water container can easily be removed given it will bug you day in day out for years. Show details

This dehumidifier is so good. This is my second one of the same model. I use it for so many reasons like preventing mould, getting laundry dry on rainy days in winter. It’s amazing how much moisture it can pull out of the air. 100% recommend and would repurchase.

Every night our windows would be super condensed, but this dehumidifier seems to work over the whole house with no issues removing the extra humidity. Super great!
Bought this unit on recommendation from someone else and very impressed with how it removes excess water and dampness from the air. Had no idea the house had so much moisture in it. I use it 2-3 times a week in the one bedroom, a corner room, which had mould in it and has been a problem for decades. We have gone from very wet window panes, inside,… Read more · 1
to dry window panes when we wake up. I emty at least 5 Litres water from the tray every time I use it. Can highly recommend this unit.
Have bought 3. They really work in Perth climate. The house needs only minimal heating. They fill with water every day. Humidity in the house below 50% even when it’s raining.
Soooooo good. Great size, making a massive difference for our bedroom during winter in Melbourne with condensation issues on the window and drys out clothes so fast!
Love my dehumidifier it is pulling so much moisture out of the house and is stopping the moisture on the windows in the mornings. Definitely recommend it. 10 out of 10. Show details
Works amazingly well! We live in a cold climate area in regional Victoria. With humidity levels around 75-80% during winter, our house always felt chilly and difficult to warm the entire house. Since using the Cool-Seasons Dehumidifier, levels are now 50% and the house feels so different. Initially used on high setting downstairs overnight and… Read more
upstairs during the day and humidity levels are now sustained. Could not believe how much moisture we were extracting! Now levels are much more comfortable, I run the unit on low setting day & night. We no longer have condensation on all our windows, just a little bit in bedrooms on 0-5 degree mornings which clears quickly. Previously, I would be towelling down windows on cold mornings or end up with puddles of water on the sills. Easy to use and handy timer function. A good compact size for moving around too. The water tray is easy to remove and empty. Highly recommend - has made a huge difference to the overall comfort of our home. :)
It does what it says it will do, remove water vapour that would otherwise condense on our windows which has happened in the past in winter. Fabulous product. I bought two; one for us and one for our investment property. If you live in a cold place, buy one.
How did I ever manage without this! I've had this dehumidifier for just over two weeks now. I have stopped sneezing and feeling congested as soon as I wake. I leave the cupboards open and my bed unmade and the sheets and clothing no longer feel heavy and cold. Blown away by the amount of water collected in the tank each day. Highly recommended.
