Sent a faulty dehumidifier & the company will not respond to any messages that I have sent. They have basically ghosted me so I’m now out of pocket several hundred $ and stuck with a machine I can’t use. There’s no contact number either. Think this company has become incredibly dodgey, do not order from them! Show details

This is an excellent little machine…….(much quieter than i was expected)… It does what it’s supposed to do efficiently……in the two hours of having it on in a medium sized bedroom…windows and door shut, all cupboards and drawers open …..the bucket filled full and shut off……that staggered me!! The amount of humidity in that room….and yet nothing… Read more

felt wet! The machine is easy to set up and run….and has a timer so automatic turnoff…all very simple for oldies like me! Bucket is very easy to remove to empty and the filter is also easy to remove to wipe over. Online experience direct with Ausclimate was exceptional…very quick and free delivery too! Only reason this isn’t a true 5 star rating is there should be more information in the Manuel regarding dehumidifying a house the first time around after getting the machine then the ongoing maintaining of the house to avoid mould issues.

Love this dehumidifier! I have two family members who suffer from asthma and here in QLD we can get very humid temperatures in summer, specially during those raining days and weeks of continuous rain. When I don't want to use the clothes dryer to avoid shrinking of certain clothes, this little machine helps to dry clothes much faster if you run in… Read more

the same room you have your clothes on a dryer rack. Another fight we have particularly during the wet and humid summer months is MOULD forming on the ceiling and some of the walls. We live in a very old house and we have had a yearly battle to clean mould. I am hopeful that will no longer be the case. I wish I had thought of using dehumidifiers before.

Good to note that dehumidifiers operate more effectively if windows and doors are kept closed whilst running.

What I love about this appliance from my experience: - This dehumidifier can run 24/7, but it only needs to be on for as long as it takes to dry up a room. You can set a timer for how long you would like to run the appliance it will automatically shut off at the end of the set time. - Clothes Dry setting to help dry your clothes faster during the months of increased humidity or raining days. - Helps to keep the moisture in the air lower to avoid mould growth during the humid and wet summer months which helps to minimize the health problems associated with mould such as asthma and allergy triggers. - Wi-Fi connectivity so you can control the appliance via an app on your phone. - Easy operation - very easy to operate the appliance once you download the Ausclimate App. We can easily switch between Dehumidification Mode button or Enviromentally Friendly Dehumidifier. We can select between Fan speed range from: LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH or AUTO. You can choose the humidity percentage desired to achieve and also visualize the temperature of the room. I uploaded a video showing the noise level of the fan operation set on MEDIUM. - Safety: child lock feature so children can not change the settings whilst operating. - Quiet operation. This depends on how high the appliance is set up. On high, the dehumidifier will dry up a room a lot faster but you will be able to hear the fans going if you are in the same room during operation. - Extracts up to 20L of moisture per day and it has a 4L water tank that is very easy to remove and empty. - Running temperature 5 – 35°C - 4 years warranty is very decent

Works very well on larger space, and easy to use – Very impressed - drew 8.5 litres of water from 50 sq mtr room in 24 hours. PROBLEM Discovered upstairs kitchen tap had been leaking (unknown how long) – fixed. Then noticed damp, musty smell in large room downstairs – summer - potential mould issue. Tried air con plus fan for a week – no improvement. Next option - a dehumidifier -… Read more ·  1

quick-smart.

SOLUTION

I purchased the medium dehumidifier (water collection tub 3.5 litres) from Bunnings.

Our room is approx 50 sq mtrs (unit is designed for 30 sq mtrs).

Installed by 1:00 pm as per manual instructions.

Set humidity level to 30%. High fan speed. Very easy to set up.

Opened cupboard doors. Put our own fan on low as well. Crossed fingers, walked away.

Checked at 6:00 pm same day (5 hours later) - water collection tub was approx half full.

Emptied tub, went to bed, checked again at 4:30 am next morning.

Tub was full - unit had automatically shut off - emptied tub - unit automatically started again.

Checked again at 1:00 pm. Tub was full again.

OUTCOME

To put that into perspective, the unit had drawn around 8.5 litres from the air in 24 hours - very impressed.

No doubt it could have drawn more, except that when the tub is full it auto shuts off.

It is a very effective dehumidifier and my initial experience (1 day so far) indicates it could also be very effective on humid days or other uses.

CAVEAT

The unit is designed to dehumidify, works well, and is fit for purpose – has a 2-year warranty.

However; the true measure of any purchase experience is what happens after purchase – IF something goes wrong. I can’t speak to that.

Also, IMHO, the website should state full company details – company name, ACN, ABN, physical address, contact option on every page.

It helps instil trust. The company name and ABN are there in the Privacy Policy, but no physical address - only a PO box.

Brilliant device – We lost thousands of dollars worth of furniture and personal belongings due to high humidity resulting from 2022’s weather. At the time all dehumidifiers were sold out everywhere so I purchased a portable air con with dehumidifying function. house freezing!

The Ausclimate 20L unit, however, is amazing. It can suck 20 litres of moisture out of your air in a day, and the large water tank was full within a few hours of first use. It’s mind boggling when tipping out all that water to think that was literally in your air. And if it changes the room temperature it’s barely noticeable… I would say a few degrees warmer after a few hours of use.

The Ausclimate displays room temperature and relative humidity on it’s control panel, and compared to my hygrometer (purchased from Ausclimate at the same time) it’s very accurate. This allows you to see how much it’s drying the air. You can set it to work harder or less hard and set a timer. For such a powerful machine it’s incredibly light and easy to use and wheels around to wherever you want it.

We no longer have windows streaming with water every morning and our bathroom is dry within 30 minutes of use despite having no exhaust fan - even the shower curtain and shower stall is bone dry!

I can feel confident replacing our furniture, that we aren’t going to lose it to mould again.

Just make sure if the water tank is over about halfway, to empty it before moving the machine as I’ve found it spills easily.

It’s also not hugely noisy, but it’s just that little bit above my threshold to be able to sleep with.

Would recommend it to anyone.

Everything Reviews Said It Was – We live in a Melbourne apartment with walls of glass in every room of our three bedroom home. Water streamed down the glass in colder months, most mornings we had to use a Karcher window cleaner to remove condensation. We used to leave an exhaust fan on or a door slightly cracked, but that meant noise or cold coming in to minimise condensation on… Read more

windows. We purchased two of the 20Lt models, one for each end of the home, unpacked one last night to try, placed it central and set it for 12hrs. We closed the place up as its getting cold overnight now. The tank is nearly full at 12hrs use, not a drop of condensation on the glass anywhere. Obviously we will need both as the cold gets worse, but one in Autumn stopped the slight condensation we were getting already. Absolutely amazing. No more letting the cold in or noisier exhaust fans running. They're not the quietest of devices, but we can locate them to minimise noise travel into bedrooms, whilst still being effective.

I bought this to prevent moisture build up on our windows in winter. Problem is that unless you run it before the condensation happens there is still moisture on the windows. So I guess running it sometime in the very early hours of the morning would prevent it. The problem with this model is that it can not set an on timer, only off, so would… Read more

There is design issue with this Dehumidifier. I have nearly all available range dehumidifiers from Ausclimate. Only the two 20L are leaking. The dehumidifier is fantastic while it works. But be aware that once it's out of warranty (2yrs), there is no service or spare parts provided so even if I get someone outside to service it, they won't be able to get spare parts. It started to become very loud after a few years but I was happy to pay a bit to fix it as i understand things do wear and tear. Very disappointing that's not really an option as it's not a cheap dehumidifier. Show details

Ausclimate 20l dehumidifier – The humidifier arrived quickly and was securely packaged. The humidifier has been able to remove surprisingly large amounts of moisture from the air in a quick and quiet operation. It makes as much noise when running as a pedestal fan. The instruction booklet was comprehensive. Show details

Work very well and great value - we bought 2 – These machines really suck the water out - 20 point drop in humidity and 2 litres in a matter of hours. Great value for money. Some manufacture suggestions for the next generation: 1. Backlight LCD would be great - I can't see the settings without my glasses. 2. They do make the room warm as they need to get the temperature differential up to… Read more

So pleased I bought this and that it was delivered without much waiting or ‘hassles’! – It very easy to manage, especially as I’ve never had a dehumidifier before. I’ve noticed that my bedroom seems fresher since using it, as there was previously, a noticeable damp ofour and some mould in the carpet, following very heavy rain. It’s also quieter (thankfully!) than I expected, once I learned how to reduce the intensity with a simple… Read more

The only slight problem I’m having, is having to reach down to almost floor level to open the drawer to empty any water - I find that somewhat of a struggle when I don’t unclip it in one go (sometimes a bit of a “tug” to release the drawer).

Mould issues resolved – After 4 weeks this dehumidifier is working great. Mould issues seem to be resolved especiallywith our rainy humid weather right now. I can leave this in an empty bedroom once a week for 5 hours and it extracts about 2 litres of water. 2 litres that is not helping to grow mould. Recommended good quality product Show details

20L/day? – My biggest reason for an average review is the misleading advertising. I've since found out after talking to customer service that 20L/day is only at a humidity level of >80%. I'm not sure what metrics other brands use, however i'm finding this product struggles to do a full tank (3.5L) in 1 day. My humidity levels sit at around 55-89%. Show details

The best buy! – This has to be one of my best buys! Our bedroom unfortunately lacks much sun and during the winter months it becomes damp, clothes in wardrobe become musty and I’ve noticed mould around the windows. When we first used this dehumidifier I could not believe how much water it collected and now we run it once a week it has completely dried out our room, no more mould, musty clothes, it’s been absolutely amazing!! Show details

Great for older buildings to help with the moisture in the air when no windows – Love the wheels for ease to move around. Second Ausclimate dehumidifier bought this year. Highly recommend. of water built up in buckets every time.

After a few months of purchasing it, we wanted a bigger one for the living space and the smaller one to tackle the bedrooms as we need.

We love the dry atmosphere and cannot wait to try out with the two units when the apartment is in its peak humid environment - aka dryer running pumping out hot air in the unit, and raining outside.

Much love and appreciation for the products you have created. Maggie
