- NBN 12/1 (Basic)
No access to internet, could not be resolved and provided nothing but excuses. Took additional money from my account without informing me and I had to follow up repeatedly only to be told it would be credited to my next months bill, which I will not have as I terminated service. Cancelled within 3 weeks! Save yourself the time and money get internet elsewhere.
Disgusting Levels of Service
Went to sign up with Australian broadband. Their website says trustpilot score of 9.2/10. Glad I went to this website where I see the reality. They are a bad company.
Went to fall them after going to their website to sign up first thing I had to do was enter my details and hit the button that says check my address. A pop up came up on my screen that filled half the screen. Looked dodgy as. I wasn't able to interact. So I decided to try calling the 1300 number instead.
After a very short time someone picks up the phone and introduces themself w...
Australia Broadband is unscrupulous
Australia Broadband is unscrupulous and will charge you even when you don't use the service and accumulated bills continually, even when services are not provided. They are a terrible service with plenty of drop-outs, their online service app is unreliable and 7navailable the majority of time, and their customer service is as good as useless. Go anywhere else for Broadband service
Terrible customer support.
Very poor customer service. No internet and this problem could not solved over the phone. Booked Technicians on 2 occassions who never fronted despite confirming both appointments and calling to ensure someone would be attending.
I give up worst customer service
Customer service is a joke had phone message from someone called Kim returned call to be told he did not phone me. Well I have the message on my hone
Nothing but problems. Paid $75 for nothing. 3wks later still no internet, technician didn't show up to scheduled appointment and customer service again blames nbn. Steer clear of this provider. Absolute headache!!
if i can give 0 i will
I was blindsided by their marketing. Told me connection will take place 3 to 5 business days, signed up on a Thursday expecting it to be connected on a weekday so kids could enjoy their weekend and access assignments/school portals online without interruption. Internet connection got interrupted on a Saturday, because Australian Broadband tapped already into the NBN. Immediately called Australian Broadband because email sent by them said that connection is now active and modem (from other provider) needs to be configured. Got the biggest surpri...se because it took me 1 hour 4 minutes to be connected to their customer service! The customer service seems to be a bit rude, was abrupt and didn't talk in non-technical language. He seemed to be in a hurry because his shift finishes at 6pm AEST. He wasn't able to configure the modem and started to sell me their modem which is $140 plus, which the marketing didn't mention., and if I decided to buy I would have to wait for 5 business days for it to be shipped. Marketing initially just said that my modem just needs to be configured, all are most likely compatible with their service so I expected the transaction to run smoothly. They did not care about service interruption or how important internet connection is to families and to children who are studying. When I called my old service provider who supplied my modem, they said it's unlock. So how come Australian Broadband customer service wasn't able to configure it - answer is their customer service didn't want to spend more time with me on the phone because he was in a hurry to finish his shift! Anyway, I called the following day to let Australian broadband know that I won't continue anymore availing their service and this time it took me 2 hours 20 minutes to be answered by the same customer service - I found out from him that only 2 customer service rep works on the weekend from 9 to 6pm servicing entire Australia! They can't deny the time I spent waiting to be connected because I have records on my phone. And the worst part is, they won't refund the $75 upfront payment I gave. We had no internet for 2 days and the hassle of simply calling them for connection is definitely a waste of time. I highly do not recommend them. Please consider the time you'll be wasting just to connect to their customer service.
None stop drop outs, told it was modem, got new one still never working. Plan of 59.90 a mth as they price matched. Charged 75 mth. Told me only charging 65mth. Bills all say 75. Was harassed by supervisor as kept ringing me after I hung up on him. Do waist your time with this company. Total rip off.
They’re the liars , their services are the worst I am facing since lockdown and since I join them
Terrible services and worst customer groups of people and manager staff ever have very bad connection and no network at all
Many many days and once in a week I have to call for sure
Thanks a million to Rick , the Technical Issue I had was solved in a Outstanding manner . I would recomend .
I spoke to the Tech named Rick and solved the problem . Very patiently and with a respectful attitude. I highly recommend both the Tech support and the 50 Mbps deal.
Worst ISP hands down
Multiple connection issues and regular drop outs. Customer service is a joke. Recently this company suspended my service at least once a month for 4 months and claimed it was a system issue on their end. Disgusting and not Australian.
i give them one star only because i can not rate them any lower rubbish service and dreadful internet do not confuse with [ausie broadband]this is not an australin server
Absolute Scam! Do Not Use - not Aussie Broadband
We were looking to sign up with Aussie Broadband and fell for "Australia Broadband", but we gave them a chance anyway. Contacted them to urgently get our internet set up, they promised to provide update on the same day but never heard from them for days. Had to make multiple calls to chase them up on our connection progress and dealing with them was so painful - we were told a different story on every single call, so we decided to cancel their service to go with the REAL Aussie Broadband. They refused to refund us the $85 although no services were provided by them, nothing was shipped, nothing was processed. Absolute scammers.
Terrible customer service
Do not do it !!!!!!
I phoned and linked up inadvertently thinking it was Aussie Broadband, I wished to go with Aussie as neighbors had success with them and so felt confident changing internet providers. Once the invoice come through with no logo and looking unprofessional I knew I had made a mistake. I phoned within approximately 15mins of realizing my mistake and asked for it to be cancelled and the $75 to be refunded, to which I got referred to a Account Specialist who didn't return my call. I phoned the next day, request the cancellati...on which they agreed but said because I had made the mistake and I had accepted the agreement that they would not refund my money. Never use a service with such poor customer service and I'll now go through the Ombudsman to try and recover my money.
- NBN 100/40 (Premium)
I was scared by the reviews I read AFTER signing up.
Had a Sagemcom f@st modem router bought to the network under BYOD plan.
NBN person came and connected NBN, yet 5 hours later, still no internet.
I called AB, spoke to Rick. Call waiting time was around 5 minutes.
He realised that NBN person needed to return as Router DSL light was flashing (no connection).
NBN person came in 2 days, replaced the wall socket and DSL cable (corroded. old house and connection in kitchen).
Internet connection now works.
Rick called twice following up on the case.
I've been credited the pro rata fees of my monthly plan from when I signed up to actual connection(without me asking!).
I have been very pleased with my experience....
Questions & Answers
I have just signed up for the 60 per month plan I use Netflix and use the computer for emails and general use, will the speed be a problem basic broad band
I recently changed to another provider as the service was really bad, I had the 40mb speed which continually dropped out multiple times through out the day, watching Netflix was a nightmare. My new service is awsome same money faster speed no problems.
They are a division of Escapenet since last week so who knows if this will be better or worse!
I’ve been with them only for a couple of months now, not too many problems although I would not take out a contract with any of them, had horrendous experience with IINet, went on for weeks had to get Ombudsman involved, got my money back and cancelled contract with no break fees only because Ombudsman involved. hopefully you will be ok, think it’s a test and try with all these people, just don’t take out a contract!
