I was with Optus for with internet/landline for many years but couldn't get any assistance when my landline was disabled for some reason. I felt reluctant to switch to another provider as I didn't want to deal with the disruption I thought it might cause to my business. I read some of the reviews here on Product Review and decided to give Australia On Line a call.

Michael was able to help me change my modem settings with step-by-step instructions over the phone. As I was able to use my existing modem (not an Optus one) there was no need to change passwords etc. on any of the devices in the household, which was a double bonus and made it a seamless transition! I have found the Australia On Line connection to be reliable, with no dropouts since connecting. I'm a very happy customer and am glad I made the switch.

I recently connected to NBN with Australia On Line. Everything went like clockwork. Everything happened exactly the way they said it would. Actually, the gear arrived two days earlier than they promised. I love it when a plan comes together.
That aside, you can tell the quality of a company when something goes wrong. Whilst it wasn't a major problem, my number wasn't displaying when I called out. After a call to Michael at Australia On Line, the issue was fixed very quickly.

Had a tree bring our cable from the main line down and NBN come out after 4 days and we were told that they were unable to rectify for approximately 2+ weeks. Contacted AOL and they recommended that we contact NBN customer service and that they would do the same (possibly able to get further up the line than we could), with their help we ended up getting connected the next day. Always had fantastic customer service from them and the ability to ring and talk to someone that is local in a huge plus.Show details

We are with Southern Phone (God help us!!) and I wondered whether we would need a different modem if we transfer to Australia On Line?
Is this a Tier 1 company?
Australia On Line is a private family owned Australian company, meaning we don't use overseas call centres, all our staff are in Australia and we have years of experience.
There are no Tier 1 providers in Australia. Even national carrier the big "T" is Tier 2 - you could argue they are Tier 2.5 but certainly not Tier 1.
What you get with Australia On Line is reliable fast internet with great customer service.
Is a landline included in the cheapest package?
Hello, thank you for inquiring. The cheapest package which is $59 unlimited on the standard 12 speed is only the internet, no land line is required. I hope this helps.
