Fast, helpful, knowedgeable and friendly
I really like the Australia Online service. The quality of the internet connection, for fixed wireless, is great (average 48/4 on speed test. Initially I had a few issues with connection quality, the team always responded quickly to find a fix. I recently upgraded my modem/router at home and couldn't get internet connection back. They guided me through the modem settings and within 5 minutes I was back up and running.
The best reason I will stay with Australia Online is the friendly people on the end of the phone. When I call up I have never be...
Great customer support
After a recent power surge knocked our NBN box out of operation, Michael from Australia On Line provided extremely quick support and organised to get the box replaced. I didn’t have to wait on hold for ages waiting to talk to someone like I’ve experienced with other companies. His response was almost immediate. I’m extremely impressed with the customer support provided!
Difficult problem resolved with patience
Michael was able to pinpoint that the modem was not ineffective but that NBN contractors who had been working at a pit next door five days ago were the culprits. Michael has a very calming nature and was extremely patient with me and my lack of NBN technical knowledge. Thanks again Michael.
Amazing reliable service!!!
Customer support is fantastic and extremely helpful. Extremely happy to be with a reliable Australian company with amazing follow up and service. If you want a reliable provider with quality product and service then Australia Online is the one to use. Thanks Michael for your support in getting our household back up and running again with the internet. Very happy Gaming family here :)
NBN services - the importance of a personal touch
The service from Australia on Line has been fantastic. The speeds are exactly what’s specified for my package and some times a little better.
When NBN was connected we had frequent dropouts and down load speeds ranged fro 3 to 4 mbps. The AOL techs were friendly and very helpful. Thanks to their trouble shooting and their data from our service, they were able to successfully lobby NBN to provide service to fix the fault which was in the street. Twice.
It’s fantastic to speak to the same people at AOL each time I have called. They even fol...lowed up on matters to see if things were OK. This is such a contrast to Telstra landline calls for help where each fault took several frustrating calls of up to one hour with an overseas call centre, and no result until escalation led to a visit from a technician. I think when it comes NBN provider you should choose a small company. I recommend AOL.
- NBN 12 (Standard)
- Verified customer
I contacted Michael by email as Telstra had an issue with the NBN "again" and I was not sure what was happening. I had hit a few reset buttons which was my big lesson for the day," don't" and Michael was on the phone assisting me through the set up process and getting back online in no time. Michael and his team are prompt and reliable when you need them , fantastic service as always.
Have been with this company for years, recently had to connect nbn then hooked up netflix, amazon and disney on my tv via wifi.I had problems with picture quality and contacted michael thinking i needed to go to a higher plan. He suggested switching to 5 ghz instead of 2.4ghz which i was running at the time, now i have perfect picture even streaming 4k. This was resolved without me having to pay more for higher speed plan, they could have made more money from me but chose not to, not many other companies would have done that. They are based in Melbourne and easy to ring or contact if you have issues.
Excellent customer service
We have had an amazing experience with Australia Online. 1 internet issue and they were onto it 10 minutes after my email to advise about it. Exceptional customer service and communication. Cannot recommend highly enough.
I'd pay double and still be happy
There are many competitive deals out there and Australia Online are certainly competitive. So, why 5 stars? What is the distinction?
The answer - simplicity, capability/competence, you get the speed you pay for – all the time, customer-focus and above all, incredibly high quality service (above and beyond).
When you’ve got critical work to do and there’s a problem (almost never theirs – more likely NBN’s or Telstra’s), they are quick to diagnose and rectify or, at the very least, to take up the battle on your behalf with NBN, Telstar or whoe...
Such amazing service!
Seriously, dealing with these guys is so good - just switch to them! Amazing to be able to deal with a local right here in Australia (Melbourne) who actually knows what they are talking about. And the NBN connection and experience we have had has been really good so very happy we choose them.
Excellent, friendly and very prompt service each and every time I have contacted them.
Recently my nbn box was damaged after a storm which affected my ability to work.
Michael facilitated a very quick resolution and I’m so grateful.
I am so happy I chose Australia Online as my NBN provider.
Such a bonus dealing with someone local, who are easy to get on to, and that provide expert advice, even over Christmas. The are much cheaper than Telstra and I would highly recommend them.
Excellent Service and so easy to talk to
Michael has made it so easy to set up NBN and there was no hassle. Products arrived as indicated and follow up was prompt. Recommend Michael & his team if you need NBN setup.
The GOOD & the ( not so) bad
My partner & I thought we'd give Australia Online a go as we had read good reviews. With the slowest service my partner found it frustrating as she makes her living via the net. But every provider we used was similar and we are aware that there are so many factors that can affect speed that may be out of control of the internet provider.
So we upgraded and it's been fine ever since.
And now for the GOOD- By God, Australia Online has the BEST customer service we've ever encountered in many different businesses but especially internet providers.... I'm happy that people in Asia can make a living from Australian companies but with Aust Online- you deal with someone in IN Australia and boy, are they fast to respond. The response to any inquiry is always the next day at the latest and they really go out of their way to help with any problem you may have. In fact when we asked for an upgrade it was done within the day and that was a Sunday. Dealing with an Australian based Help Line really makes us feel far more secure as often things get lost in translation and our Asian pals sometimes don't understand the nuances & are often just reading from a script. So - you will get a service equal to other internet providers but the Customer Service is undoubtedly the very best in the business. And that is a great comfort.
Excellent support for a problematic home connection, no waiting and making a difference.
A big thank you to Australia On Line for fixing our slow home connections.
We got quick and expert help speaking with a real person.
Fixed same day and great follow up. Dealing with a local provider is the way to go.
Switched to Australia Online as a last ditch effort to connect to NBN. Couldn't be happier!
Moved into a new house in May, with no NBN connection. Technician attended but refused to connect, claiming inability (OHS issue), getting on to roof. Informed I needed upgrade works at my expense. Service provider, Optus, unable to resolve in any way, and NBN Co. even worse. Gave up on NBN, have been operating on wireless broadband for 6 months, in hope of 5G arriving.
Two weeks ago, spotted a technician connecting my neighbour to NBN, with Australia...Online. Decided to give them a go. I found them to be straightforward, honest, and transparent. And best of all, you're speaking with a person here in Australia! Had better luck with the NBN technician this time. All connected, and with a new service line to the dwelling, and zero cost to me. Australia Online talked me through the set up process, and even called me back when I didn't initialise it correctly. The best service I have had with this industry, and looking forward to being a long standing customer. If you're frustrated by the big telcos, switch like I did.
Great Product and excellent service
Moved from Telstra ADSL to the NBN using Australia on line a few months ago . How refreshing to have a real person answer the phone and not get passed from dept to dept having to repeat personal details every time . Was walked through set up and system speed exactly as expected with no issues to date. Also just had Aussie on line replace my Telstra modem their Deco wi fi system. Absolutely delighted with this and even get full coverage in a bungalow 35 metres from the house . Fantastic service from Michael . I can not recommend this company high enough !!
Could not fault their service
From our first phone call in regard to having no internet, to the personal service of Michael attending our home, and Kevin patiently dealing with us at 9pm on the phone, it was speedy and very professional. We are so happy we went with a local provider, as a customer service rep in Mumbai could not have helped us. Would have no hesitation in recommending Australia onLine.
Excellent service and clear independent advice provided without any sales pressure. Direct opposite to Telstra & NBN
Provided all the advice I needed to understand the process and options available to me when I initially connected to NBN. They do not require a contract term.
Australian support center with clear English speaking staff and minimal waiting times. Option to call me back if they are busy and received the call within 5 to 10 minutes of leaving details. Not like Telstra where I waited for hours on end to get incorrect information .
Had an unfortunate situation where another service provider kept disconnecting me from NBN because of a neighbors con...
The team are always most helpful, courteous and are prepared to take the time and effort to achieve desired results.
Have found their service is second to none and would highly recommend AOL as a provider.
Questions & Answers
I am currently with Telstra via HFC Cable and need to move to NBN. Due to Covid 19 I am currently having to host a server at my home for a charity I volunteer for. I am told the system cannot get access to files remotely on the server if the ISP uses CGNAT. Does Australia On Line use CGNAT and if so can I opt out ?

Hi Colin, As we've discussed, we don't use CGNAT. Thanks for signing up with us.
