nothing wrong with the equipment but every time the internet dropped out we took photos of the red lights indicating a fault on the termination box. After three weeks of Australia Online sending these fault photos NBN sent a contractor around and replaced all of the old faulty equipment. We can now stream a whole program and have the WiFi turned on more than one device. It has made a huge difference to our well-being. The Best Internet Provider – My issues are few and seldom but when I need help, it is readily available. The issue often solved without me having to do a thing. If necessary, I am talked through any situation with simple instructions that this non tec Great Grandmother can understand and follow. All in plain English. Nothing beats human help – How comforting it is to be able to speak to a human who understands your problem and attends to it quickly. Change my mind on this service – I posted a (bad ) review of Aust Online but now ready to correct it (I can't find that review). I had terrible drop outs and moved to IINET but had the same problem but it took 4 different technicians to come up with a solution and I think Australia Online should take notice. and I cannot fault that. I had an IINET tech ask what my building was like: I live in a 1940s block of flats with very thick walls- he suggested placing my computer in direct line with the modem and Voila ! ..THE PROBLEM WAS INSTANTLY SOLVED. Not a drop out since and I repeat- it did take 4 IINET techs before I found one who must have had experience with buildings and thick walls. So clearly my drop out problems with Australia Online where because of these thick walls and not their fault. So take notice internet users- consider how your building is built. Many modern buildings do not nave the thick concrete walls like my flat. I recommend Australia Online consider this in their dealings with customers as just one possible aspect for problems. I think any block of flats buil;t say before the 1960s have much thicker walls than modern buildings. But I cannot fault Australia Online's personal and quick response to customers.

through the modem settings and within 5 minutes I was back up and running. The best reason I will stay with Australia Online is the friendly people on the end of the phone. When I call up I have never been placed on hold, they always listen well and respond with care. I have trouble understanding accents due to some hearing loss, but that isn't a problem for me with these guys, they are all Australian.

I'm happy with my choice – When choosing a new provider, I had a few key points. I wanted an Australian provider with Australian support staff. They had to have a help desk open past 5pm and preferably 7 days a week. They also had to be around a while and therefore likely to stay around, since I've been burnt before. Most of all they had to have a good rep for speed and support. I chose Australia On Line and have been very happy with my decision. Show details

Gone with someone that will stick around – Was with Boom who dumped me across to Activ8me, got with Mungi, then bang they're gone. So I've gone with a stayer this time. Oz online's been going so long we used to have dial up with them.I hate rushing around just to stay online because my latest ISP has crashed out and lose what's paid in advance. must say though that I have never ever had any problems with Oz Online and the internet connections. I have always consistently been online 24/7. Over the last couple of days I have transferred from ADSL to NBN and I had no down time. Big thank you to the team.

Not happy with dial up speeds even though i am on NBN fixed wireless with a speed booster plan? – Signed up recently for a $59.00 a month plan with Australia online (including the 25 speed booster) which costs an extra ten dollars a month. However has it has become very apparent that Australia online can only provide me with dial up speeds? all? (So what am i paying an extra ten dollars a month for?) Have emailed Australia online requesting that they change my billing to $8.90 a month, (their current charge for dial up customers) as that is the ACTUAL service i am receiving.

Will wait and see what Australia online think of my request. Personally i think a complaint to the TIO might be in the pipeline?

Great support with Wireless NBN transition – We switched to Wireless NBN and had months of trouble from our former ISP. Switched to AOL and had prompt, courteous and helpful support through another few months of NBN problems. These problems turned out to be the fault of the former ISP, but AOL stuck with us throughout and now happy AOL Wireless NBN customers. Highly recommended!  Show details
