Plate number, name,claim number of the other person was provided ,still was not enough for post insurance company!?
It was admitted by another side fault, still was not enough
I had to go through so much stress to prove something I did not have to do !!
They demanded for me to pay excess ,or would not release my car from repair shop.
In the end I won!
But warn anyone to deal with them!!
Terrible follow up service and customer care
Had the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. My car Is still being repaired after almost 4 weeks. No communication from insurance company or repairers, I’ve had to chase them over and over again. Having used my 2 week hire car option, I switched to my own hire care for 4 days. Only to be delayed yet again, upon which I was told but the repairer that the insurer would cover the cost of extending my hire car. Only to discover that my credit card had been charge for the extension. When I raised this with insurance company they denied it, repairer denied this also. Car repair was then extended for another week and guess what then another. Still with me chasing them. Horrible horrible customer care.
Excellent Service by the claims department
The claim was lodged in March 2019 last week. Few things which is good
1) Very easy to lodge the claim
2) It was placed to the repairer very quickly
3) Repairer took around 7 to 8 days to complete the work on time doing good work
4) I asked for towing the vehicle back to my house and the insurance took care of it very well
Six weeks ago on 22 November 2018, I took out a car insurance policy with Australia Post Insurance and immediately emailed them written confirmation of my No Claims Discount (my current renewal notice) to their Customer Service Department (Auto & General Insurance), as instructed. I have never made an insurance claim in my life and have always held a maximum no claim rating. I received a reply email saying that my email had been received and submitted for processing including a reference number.
Over a month later on 27 December 2018 I received a text message from Auto & General stating that they needed my latest renewal offer for me to receive my No Claim Discount even though I had already emailed it to them over a month ago and had proof of receipt from them. That day I emailed their Customer Service Department a copy of their company’s reply email to me on 22 November 2018 proving that they had received written confirmation of my No Claims Discount.
Today, 3 January 2019, I received an email from Auto & General threatening to cancel my Australia Post Car Insurance policy if I didn't send them written confirmation of my No Claims Discount. I emailed their Customer Service Department again, attaching proof of my No Claims Discount as well as proof that they had previously received it.
I have heard nothing from them and will be lodging a complaint with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority regarding their disgraceful behaviour. All this just to set up a policy with them. Imagine if I had to make a claim! STAY AWAY from any company that is underwritten by Auto & General Insurance.
Please aware of this travel insurance
Had Very bad experience about travel insurance, i bought travel insurance for whole family, had sick while oversea, doctor treatment and fee cost about $1000 but they did not let me claim even im keep all receipt and had doctor certificate filled in by Australian doctor. They stated that i had that kind of ill 8 months ago ( did visited doctor and every thing was normal ) and at this travel, i should get cover by medicare which is not included. So what is the point of buying this kind insurance. Just tried to get money of people.
Ps: I'm an (...), I bought insurance with them just because of trust and they had advertised at my work and they still treated me like this, i wonder ???
Very Unsure customer
After reading these reviews i'm not sure I've made the right decision going with Aust Post. However if you look at Sun Corps review it's not pretty either. If anyone has issues with any insurance company contact the Insurance Ombudsman. All calls to your insurance company are recorded so when they stuff up it's all there this is Very important to remember! I've used this in the past and it works. With the insurance Ombudsman, when they find your right and the insurance company is trying to rip you off they get a fine. So the more people who contact the Insurance Ombudsman with there complaints hopefully the insurance companies will start treating there customers as customers. Sadly in 33 years of paying Insurance as a customer when you call for help the person on the other end treats you as if the money is coming directly out of there pocket. Obviously Insurance companies pay there workers bonuses to stop customers from making claims, also there training is very effective. Just looking at the response from Aust Post not much input there just please call the car insurance team which most people have already done. Why not say to the customer " I'm going to look into this we'll contact you " But this would only happen if the insurance company really cared or were really doing there job. If people are treated as human beings they'll like you and you'll get more business.
Don’t have any issues, easy to communicate, good customer service, will use them again next year, they not trying to sell anything you don’t need

At the time of policy , they said we will cover non listed driver with 600$ excess ( extra) .. but now they refused to cover ... if any one borrows my car for 10 mins. I should list the driver first ......

How a Reputable Government Organisation like Australia Post, lined itself up with Auto & General Insurance has got me beat.
I had an accident in a shopping centre at an underground car park in Perth, in April,2018. My car vs a Light Fitting, hitting my roof and smashing the windscreen.
When I phoned to make a claim, the call goes thru to Auto & General. I explain the situation and the reply is "you will have to pay full excess $1000, Your premiums will be reviewed next renewal". I told them that the Store Manager had told me, they would claim responsibility.
After a couple of phone calls I asked to speak to "Whoever is your boss".
The next person I spoke to, the team leader, was a bit more aggressive and was starting to make me feel like the accident was all my fault.
A few days later the Shopping Centre claims responsibility in writing.
I phone back the team leader in the Claims office.
The answer is basically the same, saying I will still have to pay $1000 excess, upfront. Even though the Shopping centre are going to pay the whole bill. Aust. Post will review this all later, as to whether I get back my $1000 excess back. My insurance premium will still be reviewed at next renewal, because I have made a claim.
How do you think I felt after all this and a fortnight of hardly any sleep?
I decided to get things done through the shopping centre. I had to run around and get Panel beating quotes.
I put my car into the one with the lowest quote, $3000.
I now have my car back.
Thanks to the Shopping Centre.

Stay well away, Use hidden clauses to get more money out of you
I went to cancel my car insurance policy since I bought a new car and they decided to charge me a cancellation fee, claiming it is written in one of the policy clauses, even though its never explained to you when you start up the policy, they tried to blackmail me with the "hey if you sign your new car up with us we wont charge you the cancellation fee"
at the end of the conversation they just basically extorted me with a cancellation payment due the next day since they so rudely and dishonestly hid it in a clause. STAY WELL AWAY
I bought a monthly policy for my car and rang up to cancel it. When I asked if I would be reimbursed for the unused portion they said we only refund on annual payments, even though I had just paid $90. Not only that but they have the audacity to charge a $40 cancellation fee!!! I would not recommend Australia Post to my worst enemy! Absolute thieves!
Left in the lurch with no answers.
Not at fault claim. Dropped my car off to panel beater so an assessor can also assess the damage. Was told a 5 day waiting period. 2 weeks later, numerous calls, I’ve now had to give the hire car back and now don’t have a car nor an answer yet on Car that’s still in the shop. With a young family and no way of getting to work what do I do?? Very very disappointed
I started quote for car insurance with Australia post, submitted my maximum details and received the quote for 400AUD annually. After having this cheaper insurance quote from Australia post, I cancelled my existing policy in order to opt the policy offered by Australia Post. When I continued with that quote and tried to purchase the policy, It asked for my license whether its foreign or Australian. I was denied insurance stating that "due to underwriting criteria we are unable to provide you insurance with current quote" the obvious reason was that my license was foreign. So basically I got rejected to have an insurance from Australia post and now since I cancelled my existing policy, I'm standing nowhere. Very Dissapointed.
Bait advertising and quoting. Waste of my time.
Went through the entire online quote process. Compared to multiple other quotes and decided that Australia Post (at $869) was cheaper than the nearest competitor Suncorp (at $960) for comprehensive insurance for my teenage son. Had to call the call centre to complete the quote. Rang ready to pay but was immediately told that the actual quote would now be $1200 as the driver of the car is his QLD green P's. As we had already filled the entire quote out in his name, with his birth date (where he could not legally be an open licence holder in any state or territory anyway) I found this to be nothing short of bait quoting. The fact that he's a teenager and a P plater should not be adding on another $300+ dollars at the point of purchase when his birthdate had already been supplied as the regular driver. Big thanks to Suncorp - rang them and the price of the online quote was exactly what we paid. Get your quoting system up to date Australia Post. It's a waste of my time and yours.
Pathetic insurance company!
I can see why there are so many negative reviews about this company. I decided to leave them after 6 months due to these negative reviews, and they said they would have to charge me a $40 cancellation fee. This has never happened to me in 30 years of paying for vehicle insurance. Don't bother signing up with this pathetic company, you'll just be wasting your hard earned money :/
Signed up with aus post car insurance. Insurance was cancelled 1 week later (due to not showing no claims proof) and i was not informed. Money was kept and only refunded months later when i called to complain after realising my insurance was cancelled. Useless!
Long and Tiring Experience
It's true you don't know what the insurance company is like until you make a claim. Once a claim is made all contacts are to be with the assessor, if escalated then it will be their manager. If they don't respond then you are stuck, no one else in the WHOLE company can assist apart from that assigned person. What take days turn into weeks and many wasted phone calls still get you nowhere. Calling customer service is a waste of time. Still not resolved.

This is Budget Insurance not Australian Post insurance. This is very sneaky promotion Budget Insurance as Australian Post. Budget Insurance will direct debit your credit card every year, it is difficult to to get away from budget insurance there customer service isn't very helpful.

She was very helpful and went out of her way to ensure a smooth transition form my old insurance company to Aust post her professionalism was something I'm not used to dealing with other companies, An asset to your company
