I have been with them for 1 year, made no claims. I got my renewal notice today, they want to raise my premium by 30%. This is for an insurer that doesn't even have a website I can login to, or an app. Absolute trash. Show details

Good for nothing

Its more than 40 days since we cancelled our insurance and haven't received the money back yet (approx $450). Initially I was told I would receive cheque by Post within 15 days of cancellation. Never happened and no trace of it and no tracking number, nothing. I have been following since then. Response is different every time and it ends up with some Senior person would call which never happens. Show details

Shop around

My premium went up 45% from last year so I took the common advice to look around and obtained a similar cover for $300 less, with some extra benefits such as reward points and discounts on grocery shopping. For info, I have the top level of no claim bonus and no claims made for many years. Some insurers just take us for a ride. Show details

Shameless increase

I joined Aus Post insurance last year when my previous insurer increased their rates. The price from AP seemed reasonable for an old car.

I had an accident soon after which they processed efficiently. I thought I was on to something good here.

Now we're a year along the track and the premium is going up by nearly double. I know that rates go up after a claim, but this is crazy stuff. There are other providers, e.g. Ahm, RACV and Aldi, that charge less. The new certificate of insurance does not indicate whether I have a new rating because of the accident. The money difference is enough that I'll not continue with AP.

Disappointed. They're getting 3 stars because the claim process went well.

No customer service

I am the victim of an Aus Post (qbe) insured driver who crashed into my parked car. I have been trying for a week to speak with the right department, I’ve called 3 times to be met with 40min + wait times, so requested a call back, have also sent 3 emails - no one is responding.
Just awful customer service, but I’m guessing I’d get straight through to the sales team Show details

Increase in premiums 2023 rip off

2023 -2024 premium $570.66 This Year 2024-2025 $891.65...Not even bother calling car is one year older so why the huge increase, but hey have called around and a lot of other companies are a total rip off, up to $1400....or more The whole insurance industry are total ROGUES and should be looked at...... However have found another major insurer at $622.82....

PS: Have not made a claim ever in 51 years... so that is a lot of insurance....money.

What with this years house and contents HUGE INCREASE and now the first of one car....

It's getting that expensive now, that now no one will be able to afford insurance for anything. Show details

Rip off and shameless insurer, exhorbitantly expensive

Rip off and shameless insurer, exhorbitantly expensive.
Their quote is insanely more expensive than a monor insurer like PD.
Would urge AP to close this operation promptly and specilise in selling postage stamps & scratchies. Show details

Inflated price and discount scam

I did an online quote with the lure of $150 discount for the first year. The price I was quoted was the same price I pay with my current insurer but with a much hire excess. Auspost is out of touch with the current market or this is a deliberate scam to offer a discount on an inflated price. Avoid the crap and stick with a more honest insurer. Show details

Don't sign up even if they give it for free, Worst insurance experience

I was on a comprehensive insurance, had an accident. They weren't able to justify it was other party fault. Provided all the documents. No communication for 4 months and later they closed the case. I have been calling them for an update, in the end they said both the parties will pay their access, they put my rating down to 3 No Claim discount. Pathetic. Show details

Truely amazed by the service of AU Post. First time in life I had to ask for a claim and I just gave them a call and told them what happened, just in a quick conversation they approved my claim without any hassle, never thought that it would be that easy and I guess this is how it should be with every car insurance company. They offer lowest premium compared to others without compromising the quality of their service. I am really happy that I trusted them and bought insurance despite of their rating and some negative comments. I will stay with them (as long as they continue their customer service and price like this).
I wish they include the options of Road Side Assistance, and Rating Protection at competitive price.
Highly recommended.  Show details ·  1

Worst insurance experience of my life

After 33 years of being a rating 1 driver i was treated like a disobedient teenager over a$250 claim.
It was easier and cheaper to settle the matter privately. Have cancelled my policy .

Stressful experience

I did no have to go through so much stress to prove that I did not have to pay my excess
Plate number, name, claim number of the other person was provided ,still was not enough for post insurance company!?
It was admitted by another side fault, still was not enough
I had to go through so much stress to prove something I did not have to do !!
They demanded for me to pay excess ,or would not release my car from repair shop.
In the end I won!
But warn anyone to deal with them!! Show details

Hi Vladimir, I'm sorry to hear that amount of stress you went through with making a claim, especially as you felt as if you provided all the proof you needed to. I'm glad it worked out in the end but it shouldn't be this hard!
