There seems to be no company in OZ, Must be a company in china with .com and not .com.au – Had bought a new Remote for my Panasonic PVR DMR-BWT945G last year. wrote a letter to: Australia Remotes, 284 Musgrave Rd, COOPERS PLAIN, QLD 4108 One week later the Letter was back again: RETURN TO SENDER Meanwhile I got sick of waiting and ordered a new remote. Had payed the express fee for a 3 day delivery. Not so, it took a week :( The remote is partly faulty. Some keys don't work or just sometimes! What do I do now? Wonder how others did contact this company. I truely tried my heart out! The only thing of this company which worked was the website to make an order and get rid my money.

Is this company dodgy? – I ordered a generic PN1122V remote for my Panasonic AC. This item was "guaranteed" to work with the model number of my indoor unit. some of the functions to work, but not all of them. Having bought generic remotes for other appliances in the past, I know that there is usually more than one code which will pair to some extent, but only one which will work correctly. I asked Australia Remotes to supply some more detailed instructions so that I could get the remote to search for other codes. I did this by email to the address from which I received the order delivery confirmation. No response. I tried contacting them via the "contact us" page on their website. That resulted in a chat-bot response from"Daniel" asking for a photo of the original remote. I replied to the address from which the response came - my message keeps bouncing. I then tried to send the image via the contact us page - it won't accept image files.
I was beginning to have serious doubts about this company - so I looked up their address. It is in a large industrial park in Brisbane, but no unit number is given, so the address is useless. They quote a phone number. It's in Sydney and is never answered. I checked the email address of Daniel Malachi as shown on the website under "our team". It does not appear to be genuine either. There does appear to be a reluctance to communicate reliably on the part of Remotes Australia, something that others have noted here too. I do admit that all of this happened in late Dec/early Jan, when most businesses are a bit slow, but the fact that the email messages so rarely seem to get through is worrying.
Now seriously worried, I sent a new message via the "contact us" page asking for a full refund. Within minutes I got a notification that a refund via PayPal had been provided, but it has not yet arrived in my account and, according to PayPal, is taking longer than normal. I also got a message saying that there are no other methods for pairing this remote - so much for the claim that it's guaranteed to work and that they'll keep trying until they can supply a unit which works. I hope that I do get a full refund. If so, I will leave it at that, but take it as a lesson learned - I'll be looking for a genuine unit next.

Excellent solution for an A/C remote that no longer works – Discovered the remote controller for our 20y old A/C had stopped working. With no other way to operate the A/C unit, we needed a solution. nervous about whether the provided master remote would work - but it absolutely did, first time! Very quick and easy to set up (literally a couple of minutes, including reading the instructions), with full functionality the same as the original remote. Brilliant. Couldn’t be happier with this outcome - very simple and cost-effective solution so we can use our A/C again. Highly recommended.

Terrible experience – Sent remote weeks after order, saying I hadn’t provided info - this was incorrect so I took photo and emailed it and then they sent my remote out a week later. Trouble was - remote didn’t work…now this was for a person about to have surgery and won’t be able to get up…no care, no responsibility. Don’t buy from here.

One point, though - the image on this page doesn't match the one on the website (although all other details match), which makes it harder for the buyer to be sure it is about the correct business.

implies re-conditioned. I may have missed these, but I am pretty sure these were not stated before placing the order. It arrived with no instructions on how to pair with the machine. I have tried everything I can think of (including re-setting), but I just can’t get it to work. The other positive is that it looks good, and does not appear to be re-conditioned (unless it has a new case)! I have e-mailed twice with no response. There is no alternative method of contact on their website.

The company contacted me after I posted on Product Review.
As per correspondence below, it transpired that the original remote was the wrong one, and another was supplied, which, as with the first one, arrived in good time (2 days).
As below, the new remote did not do everything I need (specifically, select 'Econo' mode) but Aus Remotes stayed with me, and now it's working OK.
So I changed initially from 1 to 3 stars, then, thinking about the positive response to the poor review, and the quick delivery, to 4 stars (probably should be 3 and a half!). But I am perplexed that the problems I, and others who have posted previous reviews, have encountered had not been resolved by the company. Particularly as I will almost certainly be ordering another remote from them soon. (I am looking forward to giving 5* for that one!)

discovered that the remote does not work for the A/C unit and have sent a number of emails asking for assistance with it over the past 10 days or so and so far I have not heard anything back from them. The phone number listed on the website appears to be disconnected or incorrect. Overall a very poor result and I would not recommend purchasing anything from this business.

RemotePro, it appeared that AustraliaRemotes made an eBay account under my name, ordered two aftermarket compatible remotes through RemotePro, and had them shipped to me. During this time, the most effective way to communicate with the company was via reviews online. The phone number appears to be disconnected. I did eventually get in contact with the company who, after I lodged a complaint with PayPal, sent me the product I ordered and offered a refund which I gladly accepted.
Despite receiving a refund, I would not recommend this company. Judging by the 5-star reviews it appears that there are customers who have had good experiences, which is great, however, I would take the time to read the 1-2 star reviews before purchasing from here.
