The Australian Institute of ICT has no affiliation with the previous owners since November 2017 and no products from the previous owners have been continued. The company was re-launched in April 2019 and is now run by new management and all new courses, trainers and support in place to ensure a world class leading student experience. The only element that remains is the brand name.
I was fine using IICT as an insurance provider until now, 2 days ago they made an unauthorised direct debit in a foreign currency in HKD which is a zero amount however they failed to let us know by email (in writing) that they were testing direct debit from their international account which was not authorised by paying members to agree to the… Read more
testing. There were a few of us expressed concerns in their Facebook group and I had to tag them to read the thread. I sent them an email of my complaint and Jennifer "head of members services" apologised and stated that they are expanding internationally, without making any suggestions in improving their processes and notifying their members who are paying for their services and salaries. She said no one raised any concerns which is rubbish because she's aware of the Facebook post thread. She didn't want to deal with me anymore and sent a generic message hence my negative review of this company. I am taking my business elsewhere and I have been recommended AON or GSA in case you're experiencing issues with IICT. I have told my healer community about this too because no one should have their card direct debit regardless if it's zero, it was unauthorised and this should be reported.
THIS IS A SCAM!! Australia's biggest ICT training SCAM!! – This is the biggest scam on ICT training. Am amazed they operate with impunity even in a country like Australia. I enrolled with them in 2022, did the course for 3 months, there was virtually no support, tutors were not reachable, to sum it up, the content were very basic for my level, and when I complained, no one responded. They were only keen… Read more
on due invoices! I withdrew from them, GOT CLEARED with clearance letter.
Now out of the blues, I got threatening email from one staff asking me to pay the balance due, even if I did not finish the course. Surprisingly, the letter is quite threatening, alleging they will sue if the balance is not paid. I paid a total of $2500, withdrew from the course because I changed careers, never asked for any refunds, was cleared and given clearance letter! Now they want a balance of $2000, yet I never used their resources from 2022, was blocked from the dashboard immediately I withdrew, isn't someone here playing with peoples minds?!
If you're considering a professional certificate, youtube or genuine providers will cater for your needs, not unscrupulous institutions like AIICT.
SCAM!! SCAM!! Run if you can!
It’s all fake – This is complete fraud. There will be no teacher. They barely spend time with you . It’s all recorded videos and you need to study and write the exam and it will not unlock and there are many technical issues. I have joined in 2022 and then due to personnel health I have withdrawn. Then all of a sudden last month they started asking for money… Read more
which I haven’t studied for and started sending the invoice. The agents got changed and they are tracking the old students for money now. Pls don’t fell in the trap.
Highly NOT recommended – This is probably the biggest scam of all IT education. People running this school is entirely to make money and talk you through it in a too good to be true after completing “course” scenario. There were no proper support given to students and they only give out links which were actually free if you will google it. If you want to study, might as… Read more
well get on Microsoft where you get FREE information and not on this school where they will only steal your money “legally.”
So Unprofessional and a massive water of money – Not for beginners and now Lumify Learn wouldn't go there if there taking on board under trained mentors, a poorly performing student portal, a slack account to connect with other students that doesn't get used and definitely far away from a world class experience, I wouldn't waste my money with Lumify Learn if it's some of these same employees.
Unsatisfactory customer service – I had a bad experience with my student support officer in one of my conversation with her where she kept on cutting me and wont let me finish talking. At one point, the officer abruptly declared that the conversation was finished, effectively dismissing my concerns. I have sent a complaint letter to admin@aiict.edu.au and training@aiict.edu.au… Read more
but none of them responded and nobody acknowledge or address my concern.
It was disheartening to encounter such unprofessional behavior, which not only diminishes the quality of service but also undermines the trust and confidence I had in the company.
Diploma IT (Web Dev) – The course was easy to follow and gave me the chance to learn through different media - theory and practice. My tutor Krish was responsive and ready to answer my questions when I needed. Offered guidance where I was stuck. It is adult self paced learning so no one will chase you up - you will need to take responsibility for time management if you… Read more
take this course. And you will need to be comfortable learning new software and have a powerful enough computer to run things such as XAAMP. I have a Del 1tb which was more than sufficient - you probably would struggle with a lower end laptop, just because of programs you need to run.
No compassion, they only want your money!! – My husband enrolled in the cyber security course. Within two months of enrolling his health declined dramatically and he spent many weeks in hospital. I had to pause his studies for 3 months which they handled quite well. He then tried to pick the course back up but unfortunately due to the serious cognitive decline he suffered he struggled to… Read more
keep up. There was no offers of support through his studies, and no contact from the course instructors. He then went back into hospital and had a brain biopsy and multiple tests and operations. After careful consideration I and his hospital case manager reached out to the course advising them that my husband can no longer read. They questioned us on why he accessed the course within the last 28 days. I told them I was trying to read the course to him. Keeping in mind he only ever attempted a small portion of the course that we revisited. We had paid the course in full, nearly 4 grand. We provided specialist reports and asked on compassionate grounds if they could refund us atleast half the money we paid. Given what happened to my husband, he could no longer work, drive or support the family. We have suffered massive financial hardship and hoped they would be empathetic towards our situation (again keeping in mind he had barely touched much of the courses material). In the end we were reimbursed $900 from the $4000, we never received any correspondence as to why they couldn't refund us for even half of the course. I don't mean to sound unappreciative, I am thankful we got something back however throughout the small time he was enrolled, there was barely any support. No follow ups, it all seemed like "here read this and keep quiet". It's not interactive. Very sterile learning with outdated slide shows. I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone!! I would hate for anyone to go through what we did. Life can be unexpected, I just would have hoped our situation was handled with a little more compassion.
Expensive mistake ! – The truth about the front-end web development course (I can’t speak about other courses at AIICT). I had low expectations before starting the course. Well, 15 months later this institute didn’t meet any of them. I just wanted to have the Cert IV piece of paper on my resume. First of all, before my enrollment the course advisor told me that the… Read more
course could be done in 12 months by working 8-10 hours a week so I was excited as I planned to study for about 15 hours.
Then they say ”study at your own pace” which is not technically a lie but the longer you take to finish the course the more money you will spend. I’ll explain what they don’t tell you. 12-15 months to complete the course I’ll translate, you pay for 12 months and they give 3 months “for free” then if you need more time they extend your learning time for 3 months asking for 450$ (to be paid within 7 days) still not enough ? 3 more months (not for free) after that you will have to re-enroll and of course pay for it.
Knowing that it took my trainer 1 or 2 weeks to mark my assignments and reply to me…I even had to wait for 8 weeks last year for them to unlock my second block of units and obviously I was still getting charged for it. 15 months to complete 10 units when on my side I was pushing to finish A.S.A.P how long do you think I would need to finish the other 10 ? You do the math !
At the end I still had 1 month left when they asked me if I wanted to extend. I really felt pressured and I was already so angry and disappointed that I preferred to withdraw and go a different way and guess what, within 24 hours my access to study spots was blocked, it shows how little they care about you. I really don’t know how these people can sleep at night.
My advice to you, if you want a certification to become a front end web developer just go for a bootcamp you will save time and probably money as they go straight to the points without useless units.
Access to trainer is great but content is inconsistent – The good: Weekly one on ones with a trainer. The Bad: Some content could be improved. I know at a cert IV you should be doing some of your own research. However to pass the quizzes you will need to research for *every* question. The questions are also often way too open ended meaning you could write paragraphs but be on a tangent that is not what… Read more
the assessment is looking for. Some questions were looking for definitions for multiple things and I feel it would be easier for trainer and student if these were multi choice.
One improvement: Optional group tutorials for each course. This is a personal preferance but I often feel like I learn better in group learning rather than one on one learning. It could also mean tutors are not repeating themselves as much with students.
Do not use AIICT – As a former teacher I tried a cert 4 course through this company. My advice is go ANYWHERE ELSE. The curriculum is tedious and repetitive, with online resources working only half the time. Broken links, repetitive videos and overall communication is very poor. Emails go unanswered and it takes weeks to get a response to questions and then they… Read more
have the nerve to ask you to request a course extension at your expense. I finished 8 of the 20 units in my time with them and they chose to pass me on 3. It took them 15 months to assess my work. I was way too patient and in the end decided to quit to go elsewhere. As stated, go anywhere but here.
Tutor support was great! – I studied with AIICT for PD at my work place, The tutor I had Dan was fantastic and his willingness to help was a big driving factor for me to complete my studies. I would recommend AIICT to anyone who needed or wanted to get in the ICT space.
The Certified Project Management Professional course with AIICT is perfect – I find the Certified Project Management Professional course with AIICT, very rewarding & constructive. I honestly feel as though I have made significant progress in a short time. The program content was delivered in a convenient manner. The exercises were relevant and helpful. I don’t believe that I can ever truly thank Sue Wickes and Tati Gurry… Read more
for what they have done. Some of the things that make the program so beneficial include the exam practices that they provide to help students with the model examination of some of the concepts and principles they teach.
The course also helped provide a strong insight into my style, motivators and preferences which in turn helped me develop my leadership and interpersonal skills for application in both the work environment, and at home.
Thanks mentors for the amazing teaching and for their kind guidance in CPMP course at DDLS over the past few months. My feedback to the mentoring team at AIICT is overall excellent.

Wonderfully helpfull – Highly available trainer, and very flexible course structure. This course has taught me wonderfully.
NOT FOR BEGINNERS – If you are looking to change careers and have never done code before this is NOT the program for you. It's not until you're deep into the course and questioning it that they'll tell you it is not for beginners but for those that want to upskill.
Very flexible with great trainer support – So far, the course has been very flexible and the content relevant to my IT role. Having access to labs and LinkedIn Learning means I get to explore the topics in greater depth. My trainer is flexible and has been very helpful.
Great having the ability to balance study and your own commitments – Excellent, articulated set of courses using up to date industry information. The online content was superior. The ability to interrelate with other students and the staff was good, despite the real distance between us. Superior support from dedicated and knowledgeable trainers was very important to my success.
Do Not Sign Up For Any Services From AIICT – Do Not Sign Up For Any Services From AIICT I do not recommend AIICT. 50% of the resources do not work & the staff take weeks to months to respond to any and all correspondence. It has been an extremely disappointing learning experience with little to no guidance or support. When I called to make a complaint regarding the poor quality of… Read more
resources, Jenny Ryan's response was to drop out of the course. This is not an appropriate response when I have paid over $4k for this course and half of the content I have paid for is not functional.

Not impressed – I tried to contact them in march regarding finincal hardship. Could not get on to them. They charged my account again. Then i decided to pause the training. Then made the decision to quit the course. Now they are making me pay back the 600+ refund for the month i was charged for after the fact i tried to make contact to hold the account.
Great teacher with Great content!! – I enrolled and completed the Website development course (ICT50615) without any knowledge of programming skills, and I was still learning English as well, however, my trainer took good care of me and guided me entire the learning process and was able to complete the course. Even though I was working a full time job, I could finish the all units,… Read more
which means the trainer supported me a lot. It was great experience to study. The course covers a lot of skills that are widely used among companies.
You get what you pay for – Course content contained broken English and is far from satisfactory, copied and pasted from various free resources online (as I discovered while doing additional research). Trainers are pushy and would rather have a quick 5 minute catch up rather than discuss the actual units (when they're not on holidays). This is sold as a self paced study… Read more
option, however please be aware, this is not self paced and you must meet within your trainers specified times and dates.
I would not deem anyone with a diploma from AIICT as appropriately qualified and this is just an expensive way to obtain a .edu.au email address.
It helped me to become certified – I was enrolled with AIICT as part of a government program in a basic course. I did achieve my CompTIA certification, so I did learn quite a bit, after coming from a low tech background. The instructor Nick E was very generous with his time, and was willing to answer all questions, even doing an individual catch up to make sure we were on track.… Read more
The material was videos from Pluralsight, yes, and some extra links were broken and outdated, but the core of the course was working and fine. There was extra coursework there as well. You could also do as much extra training as you liked using this platform, and I also did some other basic courses to help me along the way. The tutor did supplement the Plural with webinars weekly, and informal QA sessions as well. I found the admin staff to have been good as well, sending through info in an appropriate timeframe. Thanks AIICT/DDLS team

Poor student support and response time – Course notes barely adequate. Had to rely on free videos on the internet. Support from staff was very poor. Long response times and sometimes there was no response at all.
The new AIICT – I am studying with AIICT/DDLS and have found the staff excellent. I have studied with Aiict previously many years ago and this is a new company, new staff new courses. I dont think it fair to judge them from a previous company. I have found some of the topics difficult, but so is this level of qaulification. The course suits my circumstances and i am very much enjoying it, cant wait to pass the exams.
Well, it was as per my expectations!! – I enrolled for AI course with no prior knowledge of artificial intelligence or machine learning, however, my trainer guided me throughout the learning process and I was able to upskill myself. The course is wide enough to cover most tools required for completing daily tasks and special thanks to my mentor for his patience for students like me.
Excellent customer service, experienced mentors – Prompt replies if I had a query, mentor was responsive and proactive, LMS was innovative, staff very helpful, learned a lot and it helped me land a job in PM.
Great trainer and course content – Studying Website Development and found it great so far. My trainer is open to all my questions and is in regular contact with me. I've had more support with this course than I had in my Cert IV at TAFE by a long shot. They motivate me to apply my learning to side projects which they also provide advice for, which I really like, because I'm not… Read more
just stuck learning only specific projects in the guides. The guides are in a very step-by-step way with all coding explained, which suits my learning style. There are optional activities but I find the content is more an activity anyway. Some units are perhaps a little less necessary, like creating policies which I think a specialised staff would do, but I see that with all providers, so I think that's probably a specific requirement for all versions of the course or something.
Excellent mentor, limited content – I was very fortunate to have Amit as my mentor during my data science course with AIICT. He has extensive industry knowledge and always there to support me not only about the study but also about career progression. Even after I finished the course, we're still stay in touch! The thing that can be improved by AIICT is the learning material. I wish as a student I had more access to more content providers i.e. coursera, linkedin learning, etc. Show details
Excellent trainers and content – My trainer has extensive industry knowledge and goes the extra mile to support me. The content is very helpful with my current IT role and overall I'm enjoying the experience. I really like being able to study online and my trainer is flexible and works around my work schedule.
What do you call someone who doesn't keep their word? – 1. The marketing material says the course is taught by industry experts, while the opposite is true. The educator, if you want to call him that, does not have any experience in the subject. 2. The material is very cheap to access outside AIICT and DDLS. Save yourself the hassle and buy the sub par subscription from the same provider, if you want.… Read more
3. The assessments are essay based. You are asked to summerize the videos you watched during the week. Which means you are not asked questions to assess your learning, you are assessed on whether you watched the damn videos or not. What if you are familiar with the concept, or not interested in learning what they are offering? 4. Now, you have submitted your summaries, you expect the instructor to read the whole 4 pages and give you a detailed feedback about your work. Good luck with that. 5. You submit less than four pages, you get reduced mark with a feedback to effect of "you need to do more", ha! very detailed. 6. If you haven't noticed it, the assessment doesn't involve doing the thing, building, testing, improving AI systems. 7. What does the course teach you might ask, the short answer is everything! The longer answer is the whole congress library. The long answer is Python2, Python3, Computer Science fundametals, Machine Leaning, Deep Learning, Database design, Machine learning on AWS, Javascript, ............ you name it. All in 12 weeks. 8. If this has not conviced you, nothing will I am afraid. Run away by all means. 9. Did I say that writing this review is my last resort? after having raised those issues with everyone with ears to no avail. 10. (Added later) Few positive reviews were added, all at the same time, after this review, hopefully this rings a bell with you. 11. (Added Later) If you are coming through the digital jobs program, choose any of the other course providers, I have talked to few who did their courses with RMIT, General Assembly, Monash, ...... IX , ask about the number of students who dropped out from their Artificial Intelligence Course in 2021 - cohort 2.
Disappointing – All the course is made up of material pulled from other sources like Pluralsight, a subscription based school in the US. There are no practical lessons, just videos. The videos are done by different creators in isolation so there's no continuity. The assessments are essay questions which are time consuming without offering any value for reinforcing the material

Couldn't be happier – I am currently studying a diploma of website development with aiict and I couldn't be happier. The course advisors and my trainer have been super supportive and made my training journey a breeze. They have exceeded my expectations and would study here again in heartbeat. Highly recommended.
Poor service, conflicting instruction and ambiguous requests – I enrolled with this college following an accident in the military. At 44 I tried retiring and became very bored, very quickly so decided to embark on a course. My son pointed me towards and advert on the internet and went ahead and enrolled, the staff fully aware of my disabilities from my injuries requiring frequent medical attention and… Read more

My first tutor made regular weekly contact and was of great help but also had two other tutors conflicting each other, he (my first tutor) was then made redundant in the reshuffle and was appointed another tutor. I had no contact from this tutor for eleven weeks!
Upon making contact they were of great help but advised the submissions I had made as instructed by my first tutor were in the incorrect order.
Things ticked over okay and was asked to submit medical information to allow me to extend the duration of my course enabling me to complete it whilst undergoing many medical procedures. I did this from my pain specialist and things again ticked along. I then have had no tutor contact from early February to what is now 26th June 2017.
I received an email on Monday advising my registration was cancelled from August 2016 even though I received a certificate of completion of a unit in October of 2016. I also received a Myer gift card after the August cut-off for student of the month!
Learning materials are average at best and very contradictory. They provide a MacBook for your studies but then the learning material is written for Windows based programs.
An expensive waste of time - don't bother going there.
Horrible – I have been with this college for almost a year. During this time I have had 4 tutors, and had to go distance even though I was originally in the classroom with a tutor. The learning and support is horrible, tutors take a long time to reply and there is no support. Don't use these colleges, go to TAFE and you will be better there.
