costs should range between $400 - $800. Here we have $1100.. That's $500 more than a bank that charges on the high end.

My broker no longer works here..So I had to deal with AMO directly. When you call they don't put you immediately to someone. They called back a week later.

Go directly to the bank - don't recommend AMO – My experience, they have great communication till they sign you up. Then the broker doesn't want to know about you. I found the experience of paying out our loan when we wanted to refinance very slow and expensive. My suggestion would be go directly to the bank or lender if you can. We will never use AMO or recommend them to anyone.

Failed to deliver – After 2 weeks of waiting for approval and being promised everyday, I had to exit my purchase before the cooling off expired at the last minute and this was even after 2 extensions from the vendor. Great Experience with AMO – I sold my property and needed to sort out my finances. I'm self-employed and thought it would be tough. Went to AMO, these guys got my new loan approved for my new purchase and got me a fixed rate loan, where i could make extra repayments and have an offset account for redraw, even on a fixed rate loan. Help with Getting our First Home – We saw a couple of the big banks until I heard about Australian Mortgage Options, so I thought I would give them a go. We made an appointment with a broker and they showed us that our repayments wouldn't be that much different from renting, that we could get a first home owners grant and that we could pay off our home sooner. Helped me to Get my Finance Approval – I was looking to purchase a home in Liverpool and I had no idea what the process was, or how to get finance approval. I knew I needed a mortgage so I called and spoke to AMO customer service. They were great at explaining the costs involved, such as stamp duty and interest repayments and some of traps to avoid in buying our first home.

Very Good – I went to AMO to see if they can do better than the banks in product and service - refreshing to get someone who came out to see me and listened to my situation BEFORE they suggested a product. Very Bad Service – These people are very bad, they do not return calls and provide horrible service. Do not bother - you are much better off dealing with a trusted bank instead of these amateurs.

Poor Service – Don’t go through AMO to set up your SMSF. I have been trying for months for AMO to return my calls and emails. Once you pay AMO your money and want information afterwards they don’t return your calls. documents via Clear Docs but will not allow me to access unless AMO release documents under my name. All I can say buyer beware. My advice find an account with the experience rather than going through a middle man that only cares about there retirement not yours.

Bad customer service/waste of time – Firstly they called me after 2 weeks, even after that, they wasted so much time with documentation. They say they have so many products but they only have one product and its an average product at best. i was asked about 4 times to send different documents and when i sent them, they asked for originals and so much time wasting its not funny.
