Beware because they’re money grabbers. I felt misled. I purchased a 2x Pro Resurfacing treatment package at a discounted price. When I arrived, I was advised to switch to a retinol peel, which was actually cheaper than what I originally booked. However, they did not inform me that changing treatments would cancel my initial package deal. I assumed… Read more

I would receive a refund since the treatment I received cost less. When I returned for my second session, I was told my two-treatment package was no longer valid and ended up paying even more. This was never clearly explained to me, which felt misleading and unfair.

After the treatment, there was also strong persuasion to purchase another treatment package and additional products. Thankfully, I chose not to sign up for more.

They changed my appointment time a day before. I was understanding and agreed to move the time to earlier appointment. But, when I arrived just five minutes late and I called them to inform them, I was met with a condescending attitude over the phone and upon arrival. However, even after completing my forms, I ended up waiting because the staff member was busy taking her time selling products to another customer.

My friend asked about the birthday special. The response was there was none. When I enquired the following day, there was no apology just a non reply from a surly woman. There was a birthday special, which I paid for. She also mentioned there will be a requirement for a doctor’s clearance before the laser sun spot removal. This will be a National… Read more

requirement. She mentioned there FDA which I mentioned was an American agency. Im other words she didn’t know what she was talking about. If it is requirement by Moonee Ponds clinic- which by the way a staff member mentioned two weeks ago wasn’t a requirement, why not include it in the conditions set out on the webpage? I am unimpressed, I asked for a refund particularly as customer service was poor. I will never go there again and will tell my friend about the shonky service.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Clinic I spent nine months going back and forth with the manager to fix a botched lip filler procedure. They ignored calls and texts. When I did get a hold of them they made me come in ten seperate times promising to fix it that day only to send me away without a solution, and repeatedly gave me false promises… Read more

that they were "working on it."

After all that, on the last time I was made to come in, they offered a 50% discount on more filler to correct the asymmetry—which a consult video call with their own doctor confirmed. But when I agreed, the nurse left the room and came back having suddenly changed her mind and refused treatment. Their only "solutions" involved me paying more money for their mistakes, and even when I agreed, they still refused to fix it.

I went to another clinic for a second opinion, and they confirmed my filler was poorly done but easily fixable. This clinic wasted months of my time, refused to take responsibility, and lacked professionalism. Save yourself the frustration—go anywhere else but here.

ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK - PLENTY VALLEY – I attended Plenty Valleys clinic and was burnt via laser hair removal, in an area that was not even discussed during the consultation. I had also previously purchased a package of RF micro needling prior to this, bringing me back to this store. I was then reassured by their clinical trainer that I was in good hands. She left me with grid marks,… Read more

deep drag marks and pitted triangular holes all over my face. To this day they have not explained what they had done wrong or how to fix it.

The store owner was aggressive and unprofessional. He threw me out of his store and banned me for insulting his staff (I’m so sorry that you found my feedback, trauma and experience whilst in the safety of your staffs hands so insulting ASC).

To add insult to injury, head office removed my posts from Facebook and blocked me. They also didn’t respond to my complaint via email, yet also blocked my emails. I now understand why their stores are so negligently run, as it all stems from you head office! You should reread your morals and values on your website as you do not meet them as a company or as human beings. This company is truly an embarrassment to the beauty industry.

I have regretted stepping foot in this place every single day for the past 7 months. Not only will they leave you humiliated having to live life in such a way, they will also leave you suffering physically, emotionally and financially.

They will turn your life upside down and leave you to suffer whilst they carry on living their normal lives acting as though they never caused you any damage. Absolutely negligent and inexperienced in all aspects and will not take accountability when things go wrong. If you value your appearance, do not seek their services. They don’t even deserve the one star I had to give them.

I visited the Australian Skin Clinics for the first time about three weeks ago, seeking solutions for skin dryness and damage. Following my consultation, I purchased several products from Aesthetics Rx and ULTRACEUTICALS, along with instructions for their use. From the very first application, the Aesthetics Rx Ultimate Serum caused stinging. I… Read more

continued with the rest of the recommended products, but my skin felt even drier. The next day, I called the clinic for advice and was told to apply more moisturiser. Believing my skin might need time to adjust, I continued using the products as directed. Within days, I developed bumps resembling a contact dermatitis–type allergic reaction. I stopped using the products, and my skin improved noticeably within two days. I returned to the clinic to request a refund due to the reaction, but was told this would not be possible. Instead, they said I would need to complete a patch test and provide before-and-after photos for review by corporate. I was also informed that only an exchange—not a refund—would be offered. I am sharing my experience as a caution for others seeking skin relief. The clinic’s refund policy states they do not refund for “change of mind,” but it is important to know they also do not offer refunds for physical allergic reactions. I no longer trust these products and do not wish to try an alternative from the same range—I simply want my money back so I can purchase something more suitable for my skin. It is unreasonable that a customer who experienced a physical allergic reaction must provide such proof to obtain a refund. Under the Australian Consumer Law (consumer.gov.au), if a product causes a major problem—such as being unsafe or unfit for purpose—you are entitled to a remedy, including a refund or replacement. These rights cannot be overridden by store policies, and businesses cannot make misleading demands that add unnecessary barriers to obtaining them.

Teigen Spalding Treatment, Stephanie’s Excuses – My $950 Australian Skin Clinics (Tarneit) Nightmare. On 15 May 2025, I underwent a cosmetic procedure at Australian Skin Clinics which has resulted in an unsatisfactory outcome and a complete lack of resolution from their team. During my consultation with Registered Nurse Teigen Spalding (AHPRA… Read more

registered), I discussed specific aesthetic concerns and was advised to proceed with 0.5 ml of Botox and filler. I originally requested 1 ml, but Teigen assured me that 0.5 ml would be sufficient. I trusted her professional judgment.

Due to unavoidable work commitments, I missed the two week review appointment. I monitored the treated areas closely and noted no visible improvement.

On 10 July 2025 (8 weeks and 1 day post treatment), I returned to the clinic to raise my concerns. My dissatisfaction was dismissed as “unreasonable.” Teigen acknowledged my concerns but passed them to Clinic Manager Stephanie.

Clinic Response Stephanie advised that no corrective action would be taken due to the elapsed time and that no assessment could be conducted because too much time had passed. She claimed the issue might be escalated to senior management and considered a potential product problem, but I was never given any written confirmation or denial from senior management. Instead, Stephanie told me she cannot pass on any such responses, as all correspondence goes directly to her and cannot be escalated elsewhere.

Stephanie admitted there is no formal complaints process, justifying this by saying they operate as a franchise which is unacceptable for a healthcare provider. She further deflected responsibility by suggesting any malpractice would lie with “the drug company.”

Teigen refused to provide my product batch number when requested, a basic transparency measure in medical treatments, and has remained completely silent since the complaint despite being the treating practitioner. This matter is now subject to a formal AHPRA complaint regarding her conduct. Stephanie, who is not a registered health professional, has instead acted as the sole spokesperson, controlling all communication and shielding Teigen from accountability.

There was no mention in any signed documentation that results might be non existent or ineffective. I was told that at just over eight weeks, the Botox could be considered “worn off,” contradicting their own three to six month results claim. If the product only lasts eight weeks, that should have been disclosed before treatment.

I was also offered to have the filler dissolved at my own cost, despite there being nothing to dissolve. Staff even compared Botox results to taking “Panadol,” a dismissive and misleading analogy for an invasive medical procedure involving significant cost and potential risks.

Refund and Delays This treatment took place in May. After multiple dismissed follow up emails and over two months of delays, I finally received a partial refund of $299.76 in August 2025 despite paying $950.56 in total including additional costs. This partial refund is completely unacceptable given the total cost and the complete lack of results.

I am now pursuing the matter through Consumer Affairs and lodging a formal complaint with AHPRA regarding the conduct of Registered Nurse Spalding and the clinic’s handling of my complaint.

I can see that other clients have reported similar experiences and I encourage anyone else affected in past and future to consider collectively pursuing a class action. I am certain I am not the only person who has been a victim of these practices.

I will continue to fight for my full refund and will also work to ensure Australian Skin Clinics changes its policies and complaints processes, and that others are inspired to speak out and seek justice.

In my opinion, Australian Skin Clinics operates with a lack of transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Based on my experience and the many similar complaints I have since found, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere

Lovely staff, first time going to an Australian Skin Clinic and the first time I've had anti-wrinkle treatment pretty much not work. I have just returned to Melbourne, needed a new place for treatment and decided to try ASC and went to the Emporium clinic. The staff are absolutely lovely and I was thrilled I'd given them a go... until, 2 weeks… Read more

later and still plenty of movement in my forehead (already odd as treatment tends to be largely working for me within the first 24 hours and gets even better over the first 2 weeks. I decide it will be ok and that's why my other injectionist used to say 2 weeks, but I've always been lucky for it to work quickly). I am so angry at myself as I should have gone back after 2 weeks to show there was little result. I'm not good at complaining and, sadly, I read reports of counterfeit botox and dysport being found in Melbourne. I couldn't help but wonder if my treatment was 'watered down' or counterfeit. I've never had this before and am pretty upset I spent over $400 for a slight result within 2 weeks and completely worn off by 4 weeks. This has never happened and everything about this experience with ASK was untypical. I wish I'd said something. It's now 6 weeks later and I just feel duped. I'm glad I've had treatment for over 15 years, or I wouldn't have known this isn't typical (mine normally lasts 4- 5months and is active very quickly). I feel like I just made a donation to a dodgy business. In all fairness, if they had questionable products, I don't think the staff or the company know. I just feel so disappointed to read other people saying it didn't work or last long.

I wouldn't go to these big chain and shopping centre providers again. Here I am 6 weeks in with full movement and over $400 less. Uh, it's worse, there's been full movement at 3 weeks, not even 4. It never fully worked, was partially (I mean partially) working within the first two weeks. The lesson learnt here is that I will have the guts to say something. At the end of the day, I know how I react and this was completely ineffective treatment. The nurse was wonderful and she clearly knew what she was doing, so this must be a case of faulty products being supplied/ stocked. I can't praise the actual professionalism and friendliness of the nurse injector more, however, I'm pretty sure she was given counterfeit or dodgy product to use.

provided the same product and dosage prior. I got the results I wanted and was hoping for a repeat of that service and treatment from this clinic. Unfortunately for this clinic, my subsequent attendance, the lack of customer service provided around addressing my complaints about no improvement or change (might as well have been water injected) would have determined the potential of $000’s in future treatments. Australian Skin Clinic failed in rectifying the situation to a fair and reasonable outcome, and despite photos clearly indicated no change or improvement following my treatment. I will never return to this clinic again as treatment was not cost effective and poor customer service and follow up service did not exist.

was very superficial and the extractions promised on the website was not performed saying it was the first time so they won't do it bec there might be pigmentation, although I informed them that I've done it many times before. The website talks about an eye massage with some products, there was no such thing. The nurse just circled her fingers three times round my eyes and I'm guessing that was the eye massage! I've had much better and thorough microdermabrasions done at another clinic for a much lesser price.

Felt like I was being treated by a salesperson than a nurse as all the person wanted to do was sell me their products and other expensive programs plus microneedling instead of concentrating on the service I actually came for. When I informed the nurse that it was underwhelming, they informed me that when I become a regular customer they will look after me better! What on earth!

Avoid this clinic – Had my first laser treatment at this Geelong/Victoria clinic after having laser at another clinic for over 4 years and thought I would try them as the other clinics availability wasn’t the best with my work schedule. she kept stopping and starting. This clinic had recently been taken over and it was brought to my intention it’s the same management and staff from unique laser which had terrible reviews. After 2 weeks I was told would get a call to make sure the hair was failing out as expected. No call. I had to chase them. After a further 3 days I was finally booked in for the review and again rescheduled to the next day. For context I am very fair with dark hair. I still had 50% of the hair in the treated areas very visible, showed the staff who did the treatment and she was shocked as she expected a better result as I had been having laser for years. There are so many patches left untreated. She spoke to the manager and as it would need going over or a refund issued. I left went home and a text was abruptly sent that no further treatment will be offered without payment. I called and was told there’s nothing can be done and was told to follow up with an email and was given it via text. I went into store where the owner “Sarah” was there I spoke to her, she was rude dismissed the concerns I had. She kept passively aggressive laughing to the point I had to ask is this funny to you? She kept saying after one treatment this is normal - but when you’ve at least 10 treatments and know what to expect this is not normal at all. She didn’t want to look at the areas, stating I know my staff and she is thorough - I have so many untreated areas that look like they haven’t been treated. I wasn’t offered spot treatment for free and I could pay to be treated again even under the 4 week recommended time, I declined and she stated that perhaps this clinic is not me. I asked for a refund as it was through Afterpay and she said I won’t be getting any refund. This place is a scam, they hide behind “science” their settings are low so you don’t get results and have to keep going back. They were recently taken over by this brand. First time laser clients avoid this clinic at all costs and try the other ones in our local area.

I wouldn't call them a scam but they definitely dont care about customers satisfaction – 11 days ago, on 10th March 2024, I purchased a laser hair removal session scheduled for the 4th of April, 2024. the full service amount of approximately $230 in advance.

Subsequently, due to unforeseen circumstances necessitating my travel away from Melbourne, I found myself compelled to cancel the appointment on the 21st of March, significantly ahead of the aforementioned 48-hour cancellation deadline. Upon requesting the cancellation, I was initially informed by the clinic's representatives that refunds were not available for changes of mind, contradicting the terms communicated at the time of purchase. Following a discussion, the clinic conceded to retain the $50 deposit but agreed to refund the remainder of the prepayment, resulting in a reimbursement of $177.99 to my bank account.

In addition to unjustly holding onto my payment without providing any services, their behavior towards me was really off-putting and rude. It seemed like they knew I wouldn't be coming back, so they didn't bother being nice, even though I was just calmly asking for what was fair.

Other than this, one of my friends did a skin treatment with them and she is not happy at all with them, she will also leave a review with photos of her skin and detailed explanation of her experience with this clinic.
