They lost my assignment work so I paid and did it all for nothing. Be very careful with this company and make sure you don’t do any live videos for the assessment and that you pre-record everything in case they lose your work.

Simply the best! – As a recent participant in a first aid course with the Australian Training Institute, I can honestly say it was truly incredible. From the moment I walked into the training facility, I was greeted by friendly staff member who made me feel at ease and excited about the course. One of the first things that impressed me was how interactive the… Read more

course was. Gone are the days of sitting in a classroom listening to a lecturer drone on and on. The Australian Training Institute's first aid course was hands-on, engaging, and tailored to suit various learning styles. We were actively involved in practical exercises, role-plays, and group discussions. This interactive approach not only made the learning process enjoyable, but also ensured that the knowledge and skills we acquired were easily retained.

The trainer assigned to our course was simply the best I have ever encountered. His expertise, passion, and ability to deliver complex information in a clear and concise manner was truly commendable. He had a wealth of real-world experience, which they seamlessly incorporated into the course content, making it relevant and practical. Our trainer was incredibly patient and answered every question thoroughly, ensuring we fully understood the concepts being taught.

The course covered a wide range of first aid topics, including CPR, wound management, fracture immobilization, and emergency response procedures. The content was comprehensive, and the practical scenarios allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge effectively. It was reassuring to know that I was being trained by an expert who took the time to ensure that I would be confident and capable of handling various emergency situations.

Overall, my experience with the Australian Training Institute's first aid course was exceptional. It exceeded all my expectations, and I left feeling empowered and equipped with life-saving skills. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone seeking high-quality first aid training. The Australian Training Institute truly sets the benchmark for excellence in first aid education.

Practical and useful First Aid Course with an amazing instructor! – Very engaging training course packed with practical and relevant information and life-saving tips that I feel will really help prepare me for my future career. Yalcin was a great instructor who provided valuable information, answering our questions and concerns, and made the course engaging. The skills and theoretical knowledge were clearly covered in enough detail so that we understood the key ideas.

Truly awful – I did a first aid course today and it was truly awful. Our trainer, Tony, kept interrupting people while they were talking, including when the person was answering a question Tony had just asked that person. He started the day with atrocious comments and generalisations about people's cultural heritage. He got people to come out the front to… Read more

show what they would do in a certain situation, then stopped them about 5 seconds in and said, No, then took over, leaving the poor person standing there feeling like a goose.

On the incident form, he said to circle gender. I asked if we needed to write 'gender' or 'sex at birth'. He said, 'I just want you to write down their gender - male or female. That's all I want.' I saw a comment above, about him asking what a person's favourite food was, for the Choking section. That happened with us - twice - they said they liked sushi - to the first person, he said, How about we make it Thai?, and to the second, he said, Let's make it steak.

Medically, he said, ‘acetone’ instead of ‘asystole’, ‘defibalator’ instead of ‘defibrillator’ and ‘tracheotomy’ instead of ‘tracheostomy’, and talked about ‘Ventolin’ instead of ‘puffer (not all reliever drugs are Ventolin, and Ventolin is a brand name, not a drug name – short answer, not everyone uses Ventolin). And he said (I kid you not), ‘If they’ve got a spinal injury, we don’t touch them.’ Even after I asked for clarification, that, surely we would immobilise the head and neck, he said, yes, sure, but, if they’ve got a spinal injury, we don’t touch them.’

On an annoying point, Tony kept saying, ‘Is that clear?’ after giving information, in a slightly-too-loud voice, and then, again in a slightly-too-loud voice, ‘Write it down,' when he wanted us to take particular note.

And he also asked me to 'put away your computer; I just want you to focus on what I'm saying', even though I was just taking notes.

With a finishing time of 3:30pm, he announced, at 2:30, that we don't have time to go into cuts and burns, but we could stay back if we wanted to. Then, at 2:40, we were finished. Except that at the end he said that he just wanted to make sure he had all our names spelt right. Someone said, No, mine’s not right. Tony answered, interrupting them, that they’d have to tell the people out the front. (As in, not his problem.)

Also, they didn’t give us a feedback form to complete. (Maybe they already knew what they might say…)

Oh, and the disabled toilet was locked, so I had to wait for them to call the building manager, to come and open it. (But I was first told that the building manager would be happy meet me on a different floor, and open that toilet.) (I know this is possibly not within ATI’s control, but still… Don’t do this course if you have a mobility impairment and might be busting for the toilet.)

time. The participants' evaluations were genuine and were not given unless you deserve to pass. The CPR equipments were all advanced as they gave light indicators if you doing the job accurately or not which was very helpful. Covid safe was linked to the content very well and to the last update of NSW health institution.

Beware of policies – I have used ATI multiple times but this time I had an injury that prevented me attending the course and I wanted to change the date. Lacks professionalism - low teaching standard - very basic content – If you’re looking for a Professionally delivered course with respectful & proficient instruction this is not the course for you!! This is especially true if you’ve had a lot of experience with First Aid Courses & have a broad frame of reference. Although it’s a very basic and inexpensive course definitely choose St John Ambulance training for a… Read more

MUCH higher standard of training and content delivery. The owners at Aust Training Institute are all related too so it’s also futile to provide any negative feedback to them directly. [name removed] (the owner) approached his role in a very flippant manner and not at all professionally. He commenced on a very negative note saying that the course was boring & that he would try to get through it as quickly as possible. How disrespectful of a training process that could potentially save a life!! He was arduously trying to be funny instead of focusing on delivering the content with a sincere, professional & proficient communication style. He firstly regaled anecdotes about his mother and this wife; very inappropriate in a teaching environment and quite insulting for those poor ladies. At one point he pretended to resuscitate a demonstration mannequin torso that did not have a head attached to it. Again very disrespectful of the training process & of human life and was in extremely poor taste; very inappropriate. He was also condescending and sexist towards the younger male & female participants in the group and perpetuated gender stereotypes in some of his hypothetical incident story lines & explanations regarding first aid provision. Appalling!! Additionally, whenever he was questioned about the content, or about his demeanour, he rolled his eyes after answering while the questioner had their head down writing notes. Disgraceful! He smirked & murmured smug sarcastic comments under his breath in response to very valid observations from some of the participants in the group and when he was challenged about his gender biased/sexist comments he then appeared to have a problem when referring to the injured person (as he described a first aid scenario). Saying sarcastically: “I don’t know now… should I say he or she”…This was a completely misplaced & irrelevant comment and again said in a sardonic manner. He could’ve simply used the terms “casualty” or the “patient”, when referring to an injured party; that is what a professional trainer would’ve done. Towards the end of the training his energy level had plummeted and he became increasingly annoyed when asked questions about the exam or any other question which challenged his opinion. Clearly very emotionally immature and needs to be counselled about these issues regarding professional teaching. Yalcin ought to seriously consider his behavioural choices if he continues to teach in this field and focus on being Professional, Sincere, Genuine and Respectful to all the participants as well as to this very important topic of First Aid.

First aid made simple and fun with Jake! – After my mum attended this course with the instructor Jake, I also attended with high expectations which were easily met. I don't recommend ATI – I work at a large public swimming pool and did a first aid and cpr course at ATI to get a more responsible job. I found the ATI instructor pretty arrogant and not very helpful. I just wanted to learn. I was not very satisfied with what I learnt there and ended up doing a full first aid training course at St Johns which met my requirements. Close to where I live.
