The Difference Maker Accelerator course with Authentic Education was the best adult education I've ever done (and I've done a lot). I will be implementing what I've learnt and referring back to the materials for many months to come - there was so much valuable, useful, down-to-earth practical information and KNOWLEDGE! If only we'd had this type of valuable, selfconnection-driven education when we were growing up!

On the back of this experience, I have been reluctant to join any of the follow up sessions which were included in the price of program. All in all, the $5K spend was not a good ROI for me and I hate to admit it I fell for the sneaky sales pitch. It turns out the free business system that is included in the price of the program is not free, because you can access it at no cost anyway and all you are given is a bunch of training videos. We were told there would be no upselling, and within 10mins of my pre program coaching call I found myself in a conversation about their Coaching Program which was so off putting and should have been my first red flag. The Happiness Guarantee is of course not covered in detail, you can only request a refund 24hours after completing the program. I was emotionally exhausted for several weeks and did not want to revisit the material so unfortunately missed this opportunity.

Train to be a coach in 6 days and takes 6 months to apply for ICF Credential - Come on – I have been looking into life coaching courses for a while now and want to find the perfect course if that is a thing. In my investigations so far it is very clear that any course worth doing needs to show up on training.gov.au because that means it is Nationally recognised and accredited by a governing body called ASQA in Australia. learnt that this is a requirement to get professional indemnity insurance which you would think every coach would want or need but if you are not told about it then its something you learn along the way.

I travel between two countries for 6 months at a time so for me the ICF accreditation is a big deal and these guys do have a Level 1 but it does mean you need to do a fair amount to tick all the boxes before you can apply for a credential and then it is at the lower level so this got me thinking about more questions like how can I be trained to be a life coach in 6 days when other courses i have seen are all around 12 months?

My conclusion is and only mine that its because they are not a registered training organisation that has criteria they need to meet, thats why! I called this ASQA group to find out more and I have since learnt that the coaching industry is unregulated and thats why you can do any course with anyone at any cost and be a coach but they also mentioned that there is talk about a regulation coming like what happened with the financial advisors a few years back. I spoke to a financial advisor to find out about this regulation thing and apparently they had to go back and study if they did not have the minimum qualifications and this guy had been doing it for 10 years already. The other option he had was to change career which for him was not possible so he lost his postition, his income and had to study what was required to keep going. Nobody seems to know when this regulation will happen but many think it will be sooner rather than later because coaching has become such a huge industry.

After all of this I know Authentic is not for me because I cannot get national recognition and then professional indemnity insurance and I have to do more hours and work just to apply for the credential I really want with the ICF so I can keep running my business between the two countries. I am struggling to find a course that is nationally recognised by a Registered training organisation and that has the level 2 accreditation with the ICF, surely this is possible???? Why is this such a difficult process?

Stick to their free days- their paid programs not worth your time – I initially attended a couple of free days run by Benjamin & they were of great value. To the company's credit- the refund was processed speedily, no questions asked. Interestingly, nobody rang to get feedback either.

Benjamin doesn't hide the fact that his goal is to train a million coaches. You attend his program with over 100 other people & it feels like you're on a factory conveyor, churning through potential life coaches.

Asking questions is challenging - because there are so many other people & they have questions too. So, to accommodate all the people, there are volunteers who answer your questions. I asked the volunteers questions on a few occasions- they didn't have concrete answers to my questions, but "shared their perspectives". I can ask educated friends for perspectives without enrolling in a 5 day course.

Ah, but you have one day during the course where Benjamin will stay up as late as needed to answer everyone's questions! You just need to be in the queue till 1am or later. Cham will stay on a different night. Does that sound reasonable that participants are expected to stay up till whatever time to get a question answered? Some of us have children to make dinner for, or put to bed? Some of us perhaps want to rest after sitting in front of a screen for 8hrs. But Ben makes it sound as if this is a wonderful opportunity that we'll have MORE time with him & with Cham in the after hours.....

The entire course felt like a massive bait to sell their bigger, lengthier programs. The more time I spent with them (ie the full 5 days), the more it felt that one is a part of a cult. Any criticisms of the program were swiftly challenged by the team working for Ben & Cham, & at the same time rewards are given for positive feedback- hence the high number of 5 star reviews.

If you're considering this company, I'd recommend attending only their free events. Those are actually good value for your time. The paid program was time that I'll never get back...

We requested a refund but this was denied. The person on the phone was very aggressive and seemed personally offended we were trying to request a refund. We weren’t able to negotiate a credit to purchase another event.

I felt very ashamed I had recommended them so highly and they treaded my partner so poorly.

Of course it’s in the fine print that they can refuse a refund so there’s nothing we could do. Please be aware
