I recently removed blades from my Bad Boy MZMagnum 54"and sharpend. After reinstalling the blades I started to mow, but when I engaged the blades the engines speed dropped around 900 rpm's. After switching blades off, the engine maintained the lower rpm for around five or six seconds before returning to the higher rpm. I tried this same scenario several times and it repeated itself every time. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the blades sharpening, but odd it acts up at the same time. The mower only has 40 hours on it. Any ideas?

You’re probably going to have to use a good air impact. You might have to rock it back and forth ( try to tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen ) to break it loose. Often a lower power impact won’t break it loose.
Be prepared to replace the blade bolt. Using a metal grinding blade(I used a dremmel tool) grinder cut an X in the head of the bolt. That will remove the pressure from the outside of the bolt and it will come off easily. Do not cut too deep but has to be deep enough to relieve pressure on outer edge of bolt.

My MZ is locked in gear and the two release levers behind the seat don't seem to help unlock the axle. The brake is off. Cant start it either, checked all fuses, seat switches, ignition switch, arm switches, new battery and solenoid. Plugs are good. Any advice?

I have the Briggs pro 26 hp motor. When changing oil, it’s hard to get to the drain plug. I called the factory and a tech told me to get either a 8 point or. 12 point deep well socket . But I forgot what size socket it was. Well anyway ,my socket got misplaced from last oil change. Does anyone know which socket to use on the drain plug?
Our bad boy Mz won’t start! Replaced ignition switch, checked seat and steering arm switches. Is there a starter rely?
There is a starter solenoid/relay that could be bad. Also, dont forget your brake safety switch and steering arm switches. Check your battery terminals and make sure it is fully charged. A bad PTO switch can also cause this.
