Sent then an email requesting info of my term deposit account on 6 th April. Got an email back from them in 2 hours saying they will look into it. Today is 13 April nothing heard back from them. I keep rining the phone number for customer service it asks you to leave a message. But know one calls back Show details

The phone service is not manned. After about 12 minutes on hold you get directed to leave a message which never gets returned. I joined BOS because compared with other banks their customer service is quite good. Now with the new app there is zero contact available, can’t even access on line banking despite it being advertised on their web… Read more

site. I thought advertised goods and service must be provided. BOS have just destroyed any confidence their customer had and are now in my opinion in the same category as all the other banks.

The online banking upgrade has been an unmitigated nightmare. I haven't been able to access my money or accounts for a week now. I have called and called and when you sit on hold and move through from being position 14 in the queue to 1, you just get redirected to make a recording, rather than getting to talk to anyone!! the recordings and calling back!!! I've tried four times now. Nobody is replying to customer service requests via email either. The online chat is not manned. The registration for the new online banking does not work properly. It just times out every time I enter a security code and won't move to the next step. People need access to their accounts!!!!! I was fine with just having my mortgage with this bank even though the online interface was clunky -- but not having access to my money or accounts for a week, when my dog experienced a health emergency and I couldn't transfer money out of my mortgage redraw and had to borrow money from family members, is beyond unacceptable. The one key deliverable of a bank is to ensure people can access and manage their money. Surely this is in contravention of Australian banking legislation at this point.

Unusable online service – Joined the bank mainly for low rates for my mortgage and that part was ok. But everytime I need to use my money, it is such a confusing pain. If I had this bank as my everyday use account, I would struggle to live my normal life. Eventhough I have set my daily limit to $10k, I can never withdraw more than $1k from an ATM. more than $10k, forget it. In Bank, in person, you can only get $10k cash in a day. If you need more, you need to call ahead, but as others have mentioned, your call will not get through. Online banking is another unreliable mess. Transactions up to $10k do go through, but takes some random amount of time, like 6 days. So If Im here on Friday afternoon trying to pay someone $30k - Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon is ONE day. In these four days you can only create ONE indefinitely pending $10k transaction. Honestly, I struggle for words that in 2022 a banking system like this can exist.

No1 you are immediately direct to a message which did not work. Tried on two different days-same result I also phoned a mobile number - straight to message bank. No call back to date. The new online banking logon did not work also! They sent a sms re updating my contact details. I NEVER UPDATED ANY DETAILS. I had to send a letter to them and are still awaiting a response.

 Follow-up  · Bank of Sydney were aware of the fault in their telephone system. From the comment from one of the staff the problem had been known for a period of time. The internet banking portal has not been available all weekend! Their latest internet portal upgrades have locked me out and am not able to access our accounts. I have called 3 times, kept on hold only to be told to leave a message on their voicemail, yet to have my call returned. Lovely branch staff trying to help but the online banking upgrade today is terrible. Can’t register through the app at all. Registration process online stalls at multi factor authentication. because every other customer in the branch has exactly the same issue. Branch can’t access my accounts to give me statements. They’ll email them through when available but that’s far from ideal.

My bank account balance went from about $460000 USD in 2019 to currently $5000 USD, even with that , they want %5 commission to release my money. IAM Australian citizen, same as [Name Removed], How can he torture and steal another Australian citizen abroad, and wake with it. Where is the Law in Australia. Filled out the online application form for a SMSF Term Deposit and swiftly received a welcome letter stating that all the things that would happen when it was set up, e.g. Online banking details would be sent within 3 business days and term deposit confirmation would be sent within 5 business days. why, which ended up with me being stuck on hold for an inordinate amount of time after which I just hung up. I should have received a call back. I didn't. I made another call today to try to get the missing info. When asked to be put through to the supervisor and received the standard line that "the supervisor is in a meeting". The front line rep stated the supervisor would not be available for 30 min, but they would be happy to try to resolve the matter. Of course they would. Anything to keep the supervisor from having to front a justifiably miffed customer. Given that I had already tried to resolve the matter with a front line rep I said I would prefer to wait on the line for the supervisor and that while waiting, I would proceed to complete online reviews of the Bank of Sydney. Miraculously, the supervisor appeared within a few minutes. She acknowledged the short comings of my experience so far and then proceeded to immediately provide the missing information. So, it appears we have a bank here that is simply is mismanaged. They can provide the required service, if given the right motivation, but otherwise, expect customers to tolerate their lax approach to processing and expectation management. Not the sort of organisation I will continue to put my hard earned $ into.

worst online banking ever every night after midnight internet bank does not work at all,and you can't even pull-out money out of the ATM it says exceeded limit when you have not taken any money out,and this happens every night and problematic fir over 7 hours till the next day.You can not get into your account at all.!!!

The experience I had at the Oakleigh, Victoria branch was outstanding. Will served me and gave impeccable customer service. He made everything simple to understand and nothing was too much trouble. Stay away from this bank, they are 20 years behind n their banking system in branch and internetbanking. , heaps of unnecessary procedures and requirements and very slow in processing any transaction or procedures. Yet their fees are higher than most banks. The people working there are nice, it's the system that is broken. Take your money somewhere else. Show details
