I went to BBQ Galore Preston and asked for a cover for my BBQ and gave the sales person the size. He argued that no BBQ's were that size and refused to help me. I went home, measured several times, and my initial measurements were correct. I thought the service and attitude were appalling. I would never go back. I found a cover on line with no problems and it fits perfectly. Not recommended at all. Pathetic store

Very angry store manager when asked to price match, like they advertised. Rude dismissive and obviously irritable. No idea of what ‘customer service’ should be and don’t be angry when you are required to follow your stores own policy. The young girl who served me was outstanding though, the only saving grace of your store. Do better, I, however, will never know as I won’t be back Show details

ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH! I ordered a coffee table over a month ago—they sent it completely broken and still have not organised the pickup or refund. I’ve been calling customer care and emailing constantly, and all they say is that they will get back to me with an update! NEVER TRUST ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE!

I paid $494 for a pair of Adirondack chairs and small table from BBQ's Galore. I put together 1 chair and the small table. On unwrapping the 2nd chair in the 2nd carton, I saw it had a huge crack across the length of one end of the back panel of the seat. It was obviously broken before being packed. I'm now left with only 1 chair and the table. … Read more

I've emailed BBQ's Galore, but so far no reply. I'd like the chair to be replaced with one that isn't broken.

UPDATE: Mylene, from BBQ's Galore, contacted me on the Tuesday, as soon as they received my Review. Mylene was very efficient and sent the details on to Ma Florentina, who then arranged for one of the BBQ's Galore stores to send me a replacement chair. I was then contacted by Mike, on the Wednesday, to say he would be delivering a new replacement chair to me. He delivered the new chair on the Friday morning, checked it for me, and took away the broken chair.

A huge thankyou to Mylene, Ma Florentina, and to Mike, for the quick and wonderful help in resolving this matter. Very happy.

A Warning to the Caravanning Fraternity – Last March we purchased 2 new gas bottles from this retailer for our caravan. We had had the previous bottles on the van for 6 years with no issues. We only wanted to change them because they didn't have a gauge so you couldn't tell how much gas was left in the bottles. By November, only 8 months later, the bottles were starting to show signs… Read more

of surface rust which we thought was bizarre in such a short time. I wrote to the company and asked what they would be prepared to do about it and they wrote back to say that rust was not covered under the warranty. I wrote again to advise that I didn't think that response was good enough and that if the bottles were going to rust outdoors, then they are not fit for purpose because almost all gas bottles, whether on a caravan or someones outdoor barbecue area, are outside. They still refused to do anything. They said we would need to smother the bottles with vaseline or paint them with a rust preventative paint. My view is that if I needed to do that, it should have been mentioned to me at time of purchase. The Office of Fair Trading say they cannot do anything as no consumer laws have been broken. But I thought that selling something that is not fit for purpose, is a breach of consumer laws. Anyway, I just thought I would put it out to the caravanning community that if you need to replace your bottles. Unless you want to have to paint them in rust prevention paint, don't buy them from Barbecues Galore.

take a month or more as the manufacturer was behind. In the meantime, I had attempted to assemble my BBQ only to discover there were no instructions and I was missing a number of bolts. I found instructions online. I then attempted to call the store - good luck with that! On the Monday I rang customer service. What a disaster! They had no idea. I requested the bolt pack and a week later had heard nothing. I attempted to email - never got a response. I eventually got back on the phone to follow up. No action had been taken. I was advised they would expedite getting me a bolt pack - it arrived 3 days later, only it was the wrong one!!! I give up - I will just go to Bunnings and buy what I need. NEVER SHOP AT BBQ GALORE!!!

Follow-up  · About 6-10 small bolts were missing. I was able to purchase similar in Bunnings. I found the instructions online on the BBQ Galore website by doing a Googlecsearch but they can be found by going to the website and looking on there.

Terrible customer service. I purchased a product via click and collect for Christmas and tried returning it under the change of mind refund policy. The Narre Warren store refused to accept it, saying that click and collect items need to be lodged online. I contacted customer service and they told me to return to the store! I had just been there… Read more

and had been refused service! I spoke to three people in store and they all said they can not process refunds. I have a young baby and driving back and forth to a store which had already refused me was not an option. I asked for a refund and for the product to be collected, seeing as I had already tried returning the product in store and had been refused. Customer service were unhelpful and said the product would have to be returned at my own expense. This is absolutely ridiculous that customers need to make multiple trips to a store to refund a product. Nothing on their website says you can't return a click and collect order. Once my fiance managed to return the item to the store AGAIN. Customer service still did not issue a refund and instead said that they have now contacted their refund team who would be in contact. I am still out of pocket with no reciept that a refund has been processed. The fact that it takes 5 people to issue a refund which I still don't have is appalling customer service.

I have only had good experiences with BBQ galore up to currently. We are in process on completing a new build so are getting everything new from smokers, BBQ, pizza oven , outdoor furniture, ceramic cookers etc. Given we are spending up wards of $25000 plus are obviously doing price comparisons. purchasing two of them we found a company had them for $1000 less than BBQ galore ( not including $130 shipping ) which we had to organise independently. So rang BBQ galore to see if they would price match explaining shipping was separate. They said would match it. Well after me sending evidence of price , they quickly declined to price match ( based on shipping ) which was clearly discussed previous day. Then saying price changed It's disappointing that when you try to keep money in WA and get told one day they will price match then they will not even though reasons they gave were discussed previous day! I still managed to get one of my pizza ovens due to stock limits but having to get it from other side Australia is madness. The fact they put $870 over the sales they would of had from us is mind blowing. I believe your company should read the book called The Ultimate Sales by Chet Holmes Your Osborne park store has my email address Kind Regards

I put a 1 star review on their website of a Maxiheat Modena and it hasn't appeared days later. I challenge you to find a single product with a lower than 3/5 star rating... Seems to be a recurring theme about their aftersales support based on ALL recent reviews. They've stopped even bothering with the typical insincere replies. Tells you all you need to know about the type of company you are doing business with... I recommend you don't!

I purchased a product from Barbeques Galore that turned out to be faulty. I contacted their customer service, provided all the requested details and proof of purchase, and followed up after not receiving a response. Despite this, I never heard back from them. I’m very disappointed with the lack of communication and support for customers dealing with faulty products. I expected much better service and accountability. Show details

I purchased a BBQ cover from Barbecues Galore online store. I did not know it was actually sold by a sub-contractor Carla Home. The item was of poor quality and not fit for its intended purpose. It was flimsy thin plastic material, not thick durable fabric as described or as expected. I attempted to contact Carla Home WRT returning the item - I… Read more

received no response. I posted the item to Carla Home at their address on the Barbecues Galore invoice - it’s been delivered. However, Carla Home responded that my initial email enquiry went to their SPAM folder, I should have kept on trying to contact tham - I had not followed the correct procedure on their ‘platform’. You cannot locate a website for Carla Home, and the BBQ Galore website has no online return procedure.

I have raised this issue with your BBQ Galore Customer Support, who forwarded it to Carla Home - who repeated their response I was in the wrong. I would like BBQ Galore to refund me the cost - I’ll ignore the return postage - and they can take up the issue with Carla Home.

By comparison, I obtained a refund from Amazon UK online in under 5 minutes recently when they sent me a faulty item. No fuss, no need to return, just a prompt courteous refund process carried our professionally.

Very poor customer service by by both Barbecues Galore and Carla Home.

★☆☆☆☆ Avoid Ziggy BBQs and Their “Customer Service” Bought a Ziggy BBQ, and it failed on the third use. Turns out it was from a known defective batch — I even gave them the model and serial numbers — but because I no longer had the receipt, they flatly refused warranty. They know it’s faulty, yet still wash their hands of it. Customer service? Non-existent. A company that hides behind red tape instead of standing behind its product Show details

Great customer service - I'd looked at several other retailers for a Wood Heater and had done a fair bit of research. BBQ Galore Watergardens was recommended by someone at the footy club who had a great experience and recently purchased a Wood Heater from the store. When I entered the store, I was approached by Matt and asked him a number of… Read more

questions about Wood Heaters. Matt answered most questions; however, stated another member of staff knew more than him and went and got Scott. It was nice to have a salesperson admit they didn't know everything and go the hard sale. Scott answered all my questions and showed me several Wood Heaters that were on display. Both Matt and Scott were easy going, friendly and highly professional. As a result, I placed a deposit on a Wood Heater and was given the details for an installer. I saved $$$ thousands on the price and installation compared to other brands I'd seen at other retailers. I collected the heater the following week and I was lucky to get it installed within 10 days from purchase, not bad for the start of winter and after being told by other retailers it would take up to 6 weeks for installation. The recommended installer did a great job. I was that impressed with the service received that I returned to the store to purchase Wood Heater utensils; despite other retailers being closer to where we live. Thanks Matt and Scott.
