I ordered an adapter cord for older samsung laptop. I'm still waiting a month later. I checked bank statement and found out I got charged from somewhere in Hong Kong and had to pay extra for overseas payment. I thought it was coming from Australia. I've tried sending many emails to find out where product is but I don't get any reply. I even tried… Read more

live chat and that doesn't work either. I entered order number in to track and says order number or email address incorrect. Very disappointed first time scammed online I will check reviews on companies I only checked for products reviews.

BattDepot.com Scam – In my opinion, Battdepot.com is a scam and deserves every negative review it receives. Purchased a laptop battery w/2 yr warranty that failed after 17 mos. Followed their RMA instructions verbatim including cost for return USPS shipping. Company denied receiving return in lieu of delivery confirmation. Multiple emails unanswered, website live chat… Read more

scammers – I ordered replacement batteries and 3 weeks after receiving my order and taking payment, I contacted them as no items had been received. They told me they don't have any in stock even though the website said they were in stock. [name removed] offered a refund but over a year later I am still waiting. I have threatened them with legal action and… Read more

now my emails are bouncing back at me. These people are crooks and the company needs to be shut down. Do not even contemplate doing business with them. You will lose your money.

Bad product - bad technical support - bad services - Cheating – Hope government of Canada should investigate their business since they are cheating customers for shipping defective products. I have been ordering lots from them..each box has at least one charger or battery that is defective. So i shipped 4 batteries and chargers back to exchange. I marked them to see if they exchange or ship the same back. … Read more

When i received 4 batteries and chargers back..100% the same and all are defective. I have no choice as a customer, i have to dump them in recycling bin. if i keep shipping back to them, i have to pay shipment cost again...the same as 4 batteries and chargers....i guess they have been cheating customers...I went on all reviews and the same complaint.

I wish government of canada would take an investigation in their products and services and their business ethic in Canada.... For sure God is on seeing how they are doing to Canadian customers.

Burned plastic on a new adapter - AVOID – I have an adapter that's over heating. Out of 3 identical ones I ordered for my laptop, it's the only one acting up. I sent them a photo of burnt plastic etiquettes on the adapter and they won't refund me. They want me to go through their crap RMA process, which has a higher shipping cost then the product cost to me.

Dodgy off shore - Refuse to honor warranty – Bought a lenovo charger in January 2016, stopped working by September 2016. Unable to get refund/replacement despite having 1 year warranty. Sounds the same as other reviews, wish I'd read them first....put simply I shouldn't have purchased through BattDepot and definitely wouldn't have wasted my breath trying to get my rightful replacement. … Read more

They require you to have replacement parts to test and determine which part of the charger is broken, before they will "assist". I didn't and had to find people to borrow cords from.

Then once you've done the testing they ignored my emails until my warranty had passed. After this point they suddenly become responsive and tell you said warranty has expired, despite the issue starting and being requested replaced months prior.

As with most things in life, cheap for a reason!! Offshore so you have no legal recourse and they know it. DEFINITELY AVOID!

Addit: As per a previous reviewer, I'd encourage others to report their poor dealings with this company to the Hong Kong Consumer Council https://www.consumer.org.hk/ws_en/cc-complaint/index.php

Very Poor Refund Policy - Avoid this Company – I ordered a Dell charger/adapter for my notebook computer. However, I was unable to use the computer when it was plugged in and charging. I complained to Battdepot about this, and they told me that it sounded like the adapter was not compatible with my computer, but that they did not have any alternative to offer. They told me that I could ship… Read more

the part back to Hong Kong from Australia, and that they would issue me a refund. However, the cost of shipping was almost the full cost of the product! Not happy! They posted the product to me from a warehouse in Sydney! I wish I had read reviews for this company before purchasing. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

Stay Away From Them – I ordered a battery for for my Laptop which destroyed my laptop. Asked for a refund, but they wanted me to send battery back to Hong Kong, which will cost more than what I brought it for. They make out on their website that they have warehouses in each country - but they do not. They set this up so people don't send batteries back - very… Read more

cunning. Under Australian law, we are not protected from this setup. Stick with a shop front, at least you know you can take your goods back.

Even if I were to send it back, they will decide if it gets refunded.

BattDepot a Rip Off - Very unfair – Ordered a battery for ASUS laptop. BattDepot sent a power adapter and a power cable. The two pieces did not fit into each other! It was an urgent request as my battery was running flat. Paid for express post but it took a week to arrive. When it arrived I couldn't use the product. I emailed BattDepot and to rectify this situation,… Read more

VERY POOR SERVICE - DONT GO THERE! – Pitty i cant give them no star rating, purchased a charger only have for 6 months then it exploded! They would not refund the money, after a long battle they finally gave in but still that was a feat to get the money out of this company. I would stay well clear of this company. 0/10

Good while everything works. Bad when you have issues – As always, you roll the dice and take your risks when dealing with an OS store - which this one is. And yes, everything was going fine until the batteries didn't work. Then you realise you're going to lose a lot of money either shipping the battery back or keeping it as a brick sitting around your desk. And there's the time factor too of… Read more

returning it, waiting, and then getting another one shipped out - if they do indeed not challenge your claim of a defective product.

Once again, I've learned that you're far better off going local as whatever money you saved buying OS is quickly lost when you hit your first problem.

These guys are total crap - stay away – These guys are completely bad news. I bought a laptop battery, it only charged to 72%, they refused to pay for return postage so I am basically screwed. They also say they are from Australia but they are running a racket out of Hong Kong

Do not buy from this mob – Claim to be based in Australia, battery shipped over from Hong Kong Parcel received damaged, seller claimed courier delivered in perfect order but courier driver just left at door without anyone to sign for, sent photos and still claiming it was not damaged. do not buy from BattDepot – I bought a battery for a macbook pro, which failed within a few months. BattDepot stated multiple times that they will only send me a new battery if i send them the faulty one back, but no shipping company in Australia will take a faulty lithium ion battery (incl. dhl, tnt, aus post). Don't bother - not worth the price – I ordered a charger for my Dell Laptop from this website. Initially I was happy (although it took a while to arrive) but about 6 weeks after the arrival of the charger it has stopped connecting and won't charge. I will now have to buy another charger so should have just gone through a more legitimate site in the first place. Don't waste your time.

No delivery of Adapter after 7 weeks – Ordered an Acer Adapter 7 weeks ago and was promised delivery in 5 to 8 working days. Still waiting on the delivery with the company wishing to waive delivery charges. What a joke, maybe double your offer with a free adapter as compensation. Can't believe they say that the parcel is held up at customs. Wonder what else is being shipped with the package!!!!! Is this a case of Border Security Forces being involved........

scam website – This website call themselves battdepot australia and provide email address au_support@battdepot.com but they have no presence in Australia. They provided defect product and asked me to send back to Hong Kong. They refused to pay for this shipping fee. I contacted consumer organization in Hong Kong and Australia. I recommend others to lodge complains to Hong Kong consumer body , too. They offer English site.

warning, dont buy from BattDepot – I ordered a laptop battery that arrived broken, the thin box was in a plastic bag and send from HongKong to Australia. The box had a clear dint in it. I made pictures and send them, no they weren't good enough, so I made more pictures, still did not get money back, instead they wanted to hear from the transport organization, never heard back from them, only got my money back today because I made a claim with pay pal.

Almost caused a fire!! Dangerous products!! – The charger I bought was sparking, they offered me a new one. The new one melted and smoked almost caused fire, lucky I was there at the time. Right now they offered my money back ($29), but I would have to pay for shipping. (for shipping they offered paypal's customer service to pay my costs...) The product was really poor quality (both of them). I was really lucky to see the smoke coming out from the charger.

This company sells shoddy batteries – Do not deal with this company - I bought a battery to replace the one in my Blackberry Mobile. However the battery they supplied is useless, it lasts less than 10 hours - the battery in the original phone lasted three days when I first got, but is now down to 16-20 hours. I explained this to the company and asked for a refund and they told me 10… Read more

hours is acceptable and they won't refund the postage.

What a waste of $50 - the new battery lasts less time than the old one that is 4 years old - in addition I have to pay postage to return to Hong Kong.

Australians beware with this company – On 20/04/ 2015 we ordered a battery for our laptop and the service was quick but unfortunately the battery was faulty only after a week used. When we contacted the company they asked us to return to hongkong and they do not have an office / warehouse in australia. Although it was mentioned in their web that they have a warehouse in australia. … Read more

So to all australians beware with this company and never order a battery from this website.

We have reported this company to australians consumer protection for their actions.

Really bad Company to deal with – Got on to Battdepot.com.au about Battery they sent that won't hold charge. They want me to send battery back to them and we pay the postage. Delivery of faulty battery – I ordered the correct battery but when putting it in the laptop, the battery light indicates it cannot charge or hold a charge. I am currently awaiting to see whether the company will replace it and how long it will take. I cannot recommend another company as this is the first time I have ordered a battery online. Right battery, no charge – I should have investigated as to if this website was good, but failed to, and have been ripped off. I also don't want to contemplate the returns thing, sounds like I'm… Read more

Reliable & fast service – This is the second time I have used Battdepot for batteries for laptops and I have been very happy with their service both times. Most recently I ordered a battery on the 12th May 2013 and it was delivered and working perfectly by the 14th May 2013. I could not be happier. It was also a very competitive price. Most importantly I could use PayPal.

Very fast delivery & products that work – I have used this company twice now. First in Dec 2012 I purchased a power adapter for my Compaq notebook. It has been in use every day since and is working well. The second item was a replacement battery for my Lumix DMC-FT1 digital camera. Price with shipping was 68% cheaper than a "genuine" replacement and it works fine. Both items arrived in 3-4 working days. Great service. Inexpensive & reliable

Great service – I purchased a replacement AC adapter for my laptop from Battdepot last year - it arrived quickly and was a much cheaper than buying the official manufacturer's product, which suited me well. within a few hours with instructions as to what I needed to do. I completed the form they asked me to, sent it off, and again within a few hours they sent me an email confirming that a replacement had been shipped to me. I didn't even have to fuss around with sending the original one back. All in all I was really pleased with how quick and efficient the service was to give me the least inconvenience possible. This kind of efficiency and great service level is pretty rare with any retailer, either online or face to face, so I was happy enough to come and write a review! fast, efficient service, good value disappointing that the product had problems after a year but the retailer dealt with it extremely well

Misleading retailer – I am the most mild mannered reviewer I think - I tend to be very balanced in what I write, but that seems to go out the window with this review and in particular, this organization. I went onto the Battdepot.com website with a view to buying a new laptop battery. I chose to go directly to a supplier because of the cheap, unknown batteries… Read more

available on a particular auction site. This company appeared to be legitimate and having searched for my laptop, found the battery it needed and it was verified using the technical data and visually looking at the picture.

Unfortunately, the picture was not representative of the product and I have sadly been sold a battery that is as dubious in manufacture as the others I saw on the auction site.

I am trying to get my money back now but sadly as with overseas retailers, the only contact I have is an email address and I hate to think what sort of response this will result in.

In other words; if you don't mind buying cheap products that do not belong to the manufacturer, then by all means use any auction website as the prices are a lot cheaper, but if you are looking for reliable, good quality components then avoid battdepot altogether. Quick delivery Cheap products that do not belong to the manufacture
