“upngo” travel! It all then begins to unravel where he tries to force you to book stuff straight away and promises you the best deals without giving any information away. Barely offered me any info and choice on which hotels I could stay at. He first looked up my flights and assured me I would be paying $3400 if I did it myself or I should book with him right now for $2195 which included my “voucher discount” and the accomodation was $1995. I refused to pay and looked up the prices straight away with the accomodation being $1400 and flights being $1900. This is a total scam and I cannot understand how this and the affiliated companies are allowed to operate.

Up n Go they tried to talk me out of my selected destinations as they "would never recommend these places". They were apparently "terrible". This was interesting to me considering I could get great deals here and had had many family and friends stay at these places and provide wonderful opinions on them. Of course Up n Go travel wanted to push me towards their preferred destination/apartments/resort and said it was much nicer "though will be a little bit more expensive...because it is nicer". When I checked their recommendation out it was extremely run down and looked far worse than what I had in mind! Once [name removed] from Up n Go knew I was not an idiot and knew what prices I should be paying (as opposed to just accepting whatever he told me), he never called me back! surprise surprise! he knew I couldn't be scammed. Do your research and homework people. Know what you could get and make sure Up n Go can get you a better package, otherwise not worth it and you will pay a lot more. They are also not flexible, everything has to be their way. They don't send written quotes for review and you have to be able to commit and pay your money over the phone. This did not sit well with me either....

Accommodation... had to be min 7 nights... nothing we liked to stay at was available... we tried to select the best of a bad bunch of accommodation, at no point was a list of accommodation options revealed to us... we had only a process of guess somewhere from our search on the internet, and then fail to get a booking... eventually representative of Up and Go found a 3star very expensive place.

Starting to get worried.

Flights x 4... locked in, had our family two young children two adults landing in Denpasar at 10:45pm BUT the accommodation is on the Island of Lembognan and we are stranded at the airport with accommodation paid for the night. Can only get to the Island by boat next boat departure is 9am next day.

This is the biggest scam, I can't believe they have taken our families money, fraudulently they pray on people that trust them.

Booking was a breeze – Just completed our bookings to the sunshine coast. First big family holiday with the 2 little munchkins. Steve was very knowledgeable and able to handle our strict travel dates. Everything ready to go and didn't take any effort on our part. Looking forward to some sun and surf with the kids. Brisbane to Adelaide October – I am very impressed with the professionalism and courteous service I received from UP n Go Travel. The Airfares are very good value for money. I would recommend anyone wishing to go on a holiday to contact Up n Go Travel.

Scam, stay away! – Be warned, do not go through this company. Received holiday vouchers which offered free flights to one of 5 locations, if you stay a minimum of 7 nights. Long story short, was charged an additional $700 over what I could have payed if I had booked the holiday myself, and that is if i also purchased flights! A total fraud, scamming innocent people of their money. Stay away, throw your vouchers out.

said that the hotels were of their chosen chain group with expensive rates for x number of days and to have them paid ahead before traveling. They're absolutely a smooth operating scamming group, alarm bells should ring...they should be made to refund to unsatisfied customer, and current affairs should investigate this company.

We were wanting to spend 4 nights in Melbourne and then hire a car and drive around the coast to Sydney staying 3 nights around Nowra to catch up with family.

The quote had us flying a 2am from Perth and arriving in Melbourne at 7am. Great – what do you do for the next 7 hours? Cart your luggage around or stay put at the airport until you can check into the resort.

Being a trusting soul, I did some research on line and flying the exact times and staying at the same places I could do it for $700 less. Yes $700 less!

When I sent back an email querying the price I didn’t get a reply. A further email got the same response.

I then contacted my credit card and lodged a complaint and got my money back that way.

was unfortunate. We could only fly out of Sydney (we don't live in Sydney-we live in a different city that also flys direct to the Gold Coast). When I refused to accept their pathetic explainations, I was given another voucher to use in the future as compensation, with a 'promise' that next time we will get a good deal. Up n Go Travel, is a Scam - Ripping Unsuspecting Travellers Off – I booked 3 return flights to Sydney to take my children on a holiday last year when I was in hospital with cancer. Last week I rang up n go travel to book the flights and was told there was no flights available and I would have to book hotel rooms at a cost of $800 per person per room in March next year. When I paid for these airfares there was no mention of a requirement to book hotel rooms. This is just a scam to rip travellers off.

Waste of money -- dont do it – I decided to purchase 2 of their packs which were "encouraging travel in Australia". When i went to use the flights i couldnt unless i used the 7 nights accomodation with them and they were quite pricey. I didnt end up using them at all and am quite annoyed by that.

you the information on pricing for hotels and the only way you can get any idea is by going into their website and requesting a quote on each and every hotel!!! Looking at the actual hotel website the rates are very high. They also don't have the number of hotels available that they seem to indicate, all very well hidden and definitely not user friendly. Since I wasn't planning to use the travel vouchers until I knew which hotels would work best for me this has become an expensive wasted exercise. I find out also that in their T&C's they only give you 10 days to get a refund! When you go to book, they tell you they are really busy so you go into a queue for 2-3 months. When I challenged them with their lack of disclosure of true costs at time of sale- $475 tax, $99 credit card fee, $80 booking fee, $120 baggage fee, they told me they had recorded the call. When they finally provided the recording after I demanded to hear proof, as none of these added costs had ever been disclosed, they provided a recording which only I could very clearly be heard but the operator was absolutely over shadowed by static and her volume was one fifth of mine. You could not make out a word the sales person said. What a coincidence and convenient for them.

I therefore demanded a refund due to the lack of evidence. To date I have not received anything, nor a call after having left messages and sent email.

Absolute disgrace that companies can even trade as a business with this sort of behaviour.

Just hang up on them when they call as a previous reviewer said.

I thought quoting and booking this large group was going to be a nightmare but up n go staff were fantastic, we went during school holidays and this also proved a challenge but up n go were excellent. I still have another family four pack to use and are looking forward to flying to Perth for only $400 return (plus some fees) if you understand the t&c these deals are great.

A con – They tell you over the phone that you only have to book 11 night accomodation. I bought a four pack because there are four of us, but they did not tell me at the time that with a four pack you need to book 14 nights accommodation. when she told me that up until a month ago that you didn’t even have to prove you were a customer to post a review meaning some posts may not even be genuine. I purchased a 4 pack as I was planning on a trip to Melbourne anyway and had been getting quotes through RACT. I was ready to purchase with them and explained to the sales girl. She worked with the travel agent to match the deal and threw in a complimentary pack. The sales girls name was Dearne and I would like to personally thank her as my sister who recently lost her husband is using the complimentary pack to take a well-deserved holiday. The customer service and followup from you was top class. YOU DESERVE A PAY RISE.

AWESOME!! – I brought a twin voucher and used it to go Sydney. I don’t know why people are complaining on here all the terms are explained on the sales call? I was happy to pay the $80 booking fee Jenny was AMAZING!! charges and all details are only given over the phone until they have your credit card details and then you realize what you have been lured into. No real service or deals provided as a real travel agent would be looking to get for you such as any specials or upgrades that are available for booking so far in advance. They are just looking for a quick sale and huge profit margin without the service provided. Save yourself the time and energy and go somewhere else.
