I have purchased many bedding items from Bed threads over the years and they’ve all been quite good. I recently purchased sheets and pillowcases for a friends birthday and they are the worst sheets, they’re thin and feel like cotton. Unfortunately one set was opened and can’t be returned but I will be returning the unopened set and not buying from the company again.

This was not my fault as they never checked my order. It was definitely in stock when I placed my order. I asked for a refund and a free of charge duvet cover of another sale item and they refused. Lovely sheets initially purchased in 2021, but after a few years, the linen sheets became extremely thin and developed holes, and the fitted linen sheets elastic has completely stretched. I had to give the sheets to my mum to use for scrap cleaning fabric as it was so unusable. The pillowcases (pictured) also are really thin and have holes in them. Other brands I have purchased from (Kip and Co, MCM house) have appeared to be much thicker linen and not had the same issue. I’ve only ever washed them in cold water on a delicate cycle. Very disappointing and such a shame as I really like their range of colours.
UPDATE: Bed threads have sent a replacement fitted sheet, thank you again for the wonderful service :) I purchased the queen bed set in the sage colour in 2021. The fitted sheet is very thin and has now ripped. Not very impressed considering the price Show 3 replies
I had outstanding customer service from Bed Threads when I purchased a linen sheet set in March 2025. There was an imperfection in one which they promptly remedied to my satisfaction. I love these sheets! I bought them for the hot weather, but to my surprise they are delightfully cosy in cool weather, too.

the fitted sheet we bought from target that we interchange sheets with is still in perfect condition. A very big shame as the linen did appear to be high quality. All linen has been washed in cold water with mild detergent every two weeks. The photo hopefully shows the area of wear that is very large and the sheet is almost transparent. We didn’t notice this until the hole developed. It is now over 4 years old, however, the marketing of these sheets focusses on the longevity of linen.
Love the colors and feel of these sheets/duvet cover. Highly recommend and I definitely plan on getting more! Softer than I realized they'd be and the options are just incredible.

of my feedback and quickly said they would replace my item free of charge. The customer service of this team has been exceptional and I have thankful for how seriously they have taken the fault in their product. I'm hopeful that this was a fault and won't be a repeat issue. It's nice to see a company that obviously believes in their product and not blaming the customer. Incredibly disappointed by the poor quality of the finish on their products. Have previously had bedsheets that were replaced due to multiple faults in the material and buttons hanging on by a thread, so gave them another shot. Quality of the linen is very thin and rough compared to other other brands like I Love Linen and the images speak for themselves... Not the kind of quality you would expect when paying $140 for two pillowcases! Ridiculous.

were more than happy to send a replacement, telling me it’s the darker colours that generally get the holes. So we tried a lighter colour and the same thing happened. I didn’t bother getting any more replacements sent. The doona cover has been good with no holes as yet.

the care instructions as per the products and there is no reason there should be holes in them at this point besides just poor materials and cheap manufacturing processes
I’m really disappointed as I had recommended this brand to friends & family and now I’ll look pretty stupid when it happens to them too.
The service from Bed Threads was poor, When I reached out to customer service, I received a response that they wouldn’t assist in the matter and gave me a link to their current sale, which is just disgraceful.
Update: After firing a rocket up them they agreed to replacing the products, but it shouldn’t have been that hard - my main issue was that I was dismissed when there’s a clear legacy of quality issues. I’m not sure how the new product will fair but I’ve moved onto other brands with a bit more transparency.

Amazing quality. I've purchased all my family members a sheet bundle as well as several for myself. We are all big fans of the product and love the comfort and softness of the linen. Even my husband is a convert and loves sleeping on the lovely sheets. Would recommend these linen sheets to anyone.
Follow-up · Linen sheets have remained as soft and comfortable as if new. Non of mine have pilled with consistant use. They continue to service my needs as the recommendation that they are cool for Summer and warm for Winter. I would definitely recommend the durability and quality.

We are both thin, slight people and we have 4 sets to rotate though. So I can't support the claim that these "get better with time" and "last a lifetime". I'm having to replace them all after 5 years, and I'm certainly not buying these again.

Follow-up · I purchased the linen bed sheets with Bed Threads. I had an issue with the material breaking in less than a year. I contacted Bed Threads and the customer Service was excellent. They answered all my questions and concerns and replaced the sheets no question. I have been using the new sheets and they are excellent. I highly recommend this company.

I’m a long term customer and user of Bed Threads. I simply love the quality of their linen, the colours and feel of their bedding. I own bedding, nightwear and table linen. Every time I use Bed Threads it lifts my heart and fills it with a little bit of joy :)
I’ve purchased a lot of pieces/sets from Bed Threads but the last set will be the last. The quality isn’t what it was. Recently purchased the Cacao set of sheets and pillow cases and the pillowcases don’t even resemble a proper shape after the 1st wash. I will spend the extra on other brands in future. It’s too expensive not to have quality control.
I cannot rate the customer service from Bed Threads highly enough. A recent ‘manufacturing flaw’ was reported and resolved within hours of my initial email. Replacement items were organised with no further questions. Exceptional service from a company I have purchased bed linen from for several years. I will happily continue to trust their products. Ashleigh in customer service is a true star!

So disappointed. I had over 3300 points and logged in and they were gone. Looked into it and supposedly they expired however I 1. Wasn't notified and 2. That was over $300 worth of rewards.
Ordered products in February, which weren’t dispatched until April. I chased up multiple times and each time was told “this week”. The products were only shipped after I demanded an immediate refund due to lack of product. Despite the reviews here, it felt like I was either being scammed or had bought from a business that had run out of cash and was fiddling the books. Neither was a good feeling. Will not be buying here again.

flat sheet was a little ripped at arrival. So I emailed the support the same day, provided pics, the order number and tags, and they got back to me later that same evening! It shipped the next day and even arrived a day early. Perfect condition too. They didn't require me to send the ripped one back before they sent the new one either! This whole process lasted less than two weeks, which is, to me, impressive. Shoutout to Ally who was helping me :)
Update: they have sent me a new sheet My first set lasted less than a year before the fitted sheet ripped - I wash on cold cycle and line dry. Purchased a flaxseed linen set, and within 2 and a half years, the fitted sheet has multiple tears and is developing more. Would not recommend this brand to others, as you follow the aftercare instructions, and even after a short period of time this develops. You expect high quality when you spend almost $500 on a set.

duvet covers washed out. Both of these things were a relatively minor inconvenience. What was most disappointing and the cause of this negative review was the thinning and wearing out of the fitted bed sheets. Both fitted sheets I bought became thin, developed holes and became unusable. Both needed to be thrown out within 4 years of use. The sheets were used normally and cared for and in rotation with other cotton sheets so I don’t think they got an unusual amount of wear. For comparison, the cotton sheets bought at the same time and have had the same wear still look brand new. Really disappointing as they market these as “designed to last” and for the price you pay you should be able to expect that.
UPDATE: Bed threads reached out and sent me replacement sheets. That was very good of them and shows they respect both their customers and product. I really appreciate companies like this with good customer service. The new sheets do seem a bit thicker and sturdier than the previous ones. Fingers crossed they go the distance.

I have purchased several sheet and doona sets and the colours and quality have been great. I recently had an issue which I contacted customer service about and I received a response and resolution from Ally within 24 hours. Amazing service, cannot recommend highly enough!
