You can’t cancel the online - nice work BWS you crooks
You can’t cancel the order online, called the BWS numbers all out of hours so now I’m forced to take delivery of an order which all I want to do is cancel. Would have had more luck with Telstra
On Jan 25 I recd an email from CashBack telling me that BWS was going to have an upsized cash back from 12:30 on Jan 25. I proceeded to log on and check the price of Crown Lager. $50.00 @ 08:30. $55.00 @ 12:30.
Complained to HQ who responded and said I am sorry you had a problem with "Dan Murphy" but we can do what we want. Moral of the story, if you belong to any organisations that offer cash back, check the retailers price before and during upsize. 1 star because i cant do nil.

I would never buy from BWS ever again I ordered online and paid for delivery.. the delivery time was incredibly wrong!!! And it wasn’t even on its way when it said it would be delivered!!! Hours later we were still waiting!!! Worst delivery experience ever!!!
Bws Roxburgh park, the best staff member I’ve ever came across, she worked on 28/1/2021 at roughly 5-45 pm
She worked out the cost of individual unit prices for me on her own phone and went above and beyond her roll to help , I will never shop anywhere else from now on
Waste of time!!!
What a waste of time!!! 4 hours later and still nothing. Local store said it was cancelled after the money was taken out of my account but then the online ordering team say that there was a mix up but could deliver to us before we closed our business!!! Stay away from BWS online.
BWS strore Bowral refused to honour ticket price
I complained to their head office and not only did I get a personal apology from that staff member,Michael, but next time i was in the store I was given the product free.

One star is too many
Delivery was not in the 60 minutes they promised. The courier vehicle did not move until after the delivery time promised. I called to cancel the order. Spoke to an unmotivated guy called [Name Removed], who hung up on me. The result of the phone call was that my order was cancelled and to be refunded. Thirty five minutes later, the delivery driver calls, asking where he has to go. Told him that I called up, dude said he had cancelled my order and was refunding it. I called BWS again. Waited 12 minutes, a female answered. She said that...the order was not cancelled. At the end of the conversation she says, "have a good life.". Then, 15 minutes later I receive a call from another delivery driver! What. The . Duck?! Thirsty Camel will get my business from now on.
If 0 stars was an option that's what I'd give
They never deliver within the time frame that they offer. That's of they bother to arrive at all. OUTRAGEOUS SERVICE.
Overpriced Mid Strength beer!
A carton of Pure Blonde Mid Strength 355ml Stubbies cost me $60 at the Devonport BWS today. The profit you are making on Mid Strength is disgusting. The lower tax on the low strength beer should not be used to make extreme profits! Your staff was even embarrassed and apologetic about the price.
The service is always great but your pricing is disgraceful.
Delivery hit and miss
Twice recently I have had to cancel the order and wait for a refund.
Both times I requested delivery ASAP.
The first time, I waited 2 hours before calling them and was told a glitch in the computer system failed to send my order to the store. It took another 4 hours before the order was delivered.
The second time, my expected delivery time ended up being the following day - I was told they were too busy to honour the "within the hour" time frame. Again, I had to wait for a refund.
A monopoly that doesn't work for the end user or even have them in mind, except to take their money.
BWS. Dan Murphy's. Woolworths liquor.
ALL owned by the same parent company, all have differing prices and ALL have a poor track record for honesty and accuracy of product availability/delivery and in-store service.
YES! They will ALL take your money, then calmly inform you it's unavailable, sometimes hours after the delivery window and make it sound as if it's your own fault.
Waiting for a refund? Good luck. Up to 14 days, maybe longer.

Hopeless at Home Delivery - very hit and miss
Have now used their online ordering and home delivery service a few times, but only once has it worked as one would expect, that was my first use of the service. The latest example is I responded to one of their reminder emails about home delivery, so I thought I would give them another chance and placed an order. I placed the order early afternoon, and this time I selected a specific time for delivery, 6pm as was suggested by the online ordering system. I received a confirmation email that the order had been placed and the order was locked in ...for delivery at 6pm approx. That time has come and gone, it is now 7:30pm and no delivery. Have received no updates or SMS texts to explain why. So I advise others to be very careful and not rely on their service.

First time ordering with BWS home delivery,first they were 3 hour late and finally delivered the wrong items, delivery driver said I will return with correct items in one hour ,he never turned up . Called the help line and they said due to Covid they were having delivery delays (fair enough) then they delivered the incorrect items again the next day !!!! F:( First and last time for me !!! ;(Don’t expect to get what you have paid for )

Have been paying for product from Bws and not receiving it or refund online,not any explanation why,maybe not Bws fault but getting the impression that delivery drivers are stealing it
No delivery. No apology.
Placed an online delivery order. Received confirmation and delivery time. 1.5 hours past delivery time, I tried to contact BWS online, but they were closed. Contacted my local BWS store and spoke to a lovely lady who confirmed the order had been ready and waiting, but the 'sherpa' hadn't shown. The next day, I went into the shop and collected my order. I now have to await BWS online to refund the delivery fee. All I got in way of apology was "We apologise that your delivery was not on time." Not on time?? There was NO delivery. If I had receive...d an apology that was sincere and acknowledged the actual fact, I wouldn't be reviewing right now. Things happen. Customer service though - get it right BWS online. A genuine acknowledgement goes a long way.

On the 16th of November at about 20.40- 20.50pm we drove with my partner to BWS to get some things and my partner walked out of the car to get what we needed. He specifically walked in very happy and all he simply asked is “where do you keep the chill limes” it’s a beer. The main point is that my partner was abused verbally to the point where this staff member called my partner names, a dumb wog, that he shouldn’t be in Australia and that he isn’t Australian, that he is also a [word removed] sucker. He told my partner when he asked for a produ...ct to “go grab it yourself”. The staff member at the end said that my partner was the one with the attitude when in fact he didn’t do anything. He just got back in the car and then came to me and I could just see the hurt in his eyes from being so discriminated by the race he is. My partner is Lebanese and was bullied by your staff member in front of other customers. My partner wasn’t served by this staff member and got in the car so I drove back around and then walked from Drive thru myself to inside the store and got what we needed spoke with this staff member then the staff member told me what happened and said he didn’t want to to serve my partner as he was giving him attitude. He also told me how he was tired from an 11 hour shift and didn’t need this. It came across as he really must hate his job. It’s very upsetting that I had to go back around at 23 weeks pregnant all because this staff member feels that it’s ok to bully my partner because he isn’t of Australian appearance and that he didn’t belong in Australia. I said to this staff member just because there was a miscommunication of a product my partner asked for that he shouldn’t have treated my partner that way. I paid for the things we needed and my partner got out the car and just told this staff member that he is done meaning we will be making a complaint. The staff member used words Like “get the hell out of the store you dumb ” you’re not even Australian. Used words such as he will call the police. We told him please call them as this was not our fault. He had other customers in the store also as this was happening and was absolutely disgusting behaviour. My partner told this staff “hit me” Meaning did he want to hit my partner In order to keep him satisfied” This isn’t ok. Your staff member had no right to abuse my partner like this. I have never heard such absolute dirty language used towards a customer ever, especially discrimination of race and that he didn’t belong in this country. The whole thing was disgusting and appalling. We shouldn’t have to experience this from your staff. This staff member isnt polite in any way. The other staff member of yours is absolutely kind but this one is berry rude. He isn’t bothered and clearly hate his job. Our son had to hear this coming from your staff member. This needs to be resolved in some way. He honestly should be fired for what he did.
I have visiting this store for over 10 years and the service was always fantastic, except tonight.My husband went done to get a bottle of JW and 2 bottle of wine because he wasn't sure about the wine I wanted he video called me.The guy serving very rudely says make sure you don't have me on video!!!My husband says I don't have you on video..don't be a princess I'm just showing my wife the wine.The guy picks up the bottles and the wine and says thanks see you later.I will not serve anyone whose ruse!SERIOUSLY!!! like whats wrong with this person he should find another job if dealing with customer is not his talent.
I placed an order on line. Payment was taken immediately, but the order disappeared. A couple of long phone calls resolved nothing. They eventually agreed to refund my money in 'three to five days'. They can take cash with impressive speed but find it very difficult to give back when they don't deliver on service. The first person I spoke to did his best, but he's working for a dud organisation. The second person was clearly indifferent. Stay well away.
