Belling FSE60IS Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have a belling Richmond 900 with induction cooktop purchased in 2016. It was in storage for a couple of years (in original packaging) whilst waiting for house to be built. The induction cooktop has error code ER22. I have had a technician out and have been told they can no longer get parts. Extremely frustrated on a range that was $6000 and only 7 years old. I also paid an extra $1000 for the 5 year extended warranty. Can I replace just the induction cooktop or am I up for a whole new range? Thanks
Hi Kylie, Thank you for reaching out to us. Could you confirm which model you have? If you can advise what part is needed we can check this and get back to you. Your extended warranty purchased will be from the retailer so they will be able to advise you on the options you have available. Thanks
What was needed to rectify the error?
Good morning Vilt You would need a service technician to assess the unit. The error code Er22 (or 22) on a Belling FSE60IS induction cooktop generally indicates an electronic communication fault between the main control board and the touch control panel. It can also signify a short circuit or interruption in key evaluation this would require an assessment by a qualified technician to diagnose the exact fault. We can assist with a local technician in your area if you would like to supply your postcode. Kind regards Belling
I had someone recommendedThe option I was given was to replace the entire induction cooktop. I paid for the parts and the work to be completed. The technician never turned up for the appointment time, then I was told there was no technician available. I arranged for a full refund. I managed to reset the induction cooktop by turning off the power for half an hour. We worked out the problem only occurs when I use the top oven, it must overheat the sensor? I just no longer use that oven. I will continue using the range until it is no longer functional and will never buy a Belling unit again. Worst customer service ever.
Good morning Kylie Thank you for reaching out regarding your Belling Oven. I will send you a message to get some more information so we can look into this. Regards Belling
For the second time since install in September 2020 the induction cooktop has gone bang with a flash of light and stopped working The oven is also not heating The grill is not heating But I now have working lights on the oven. That’s it.
To say I am frustrated with this lemon is an understatement.
I have spent hours trying to get through to the call centre to have calls cut out because the call centre has closed, and another hour on hold before speaking to somebody. I was supposed to have a return call 3 days ago which I still haven’t had.
I paid for an electrician to come in and check all the wiring was good because of all the issues we have had. It’s fine. Ideally I’d like a replacement or refund at this point in time!!!!!
Do not buy belling if you wish to have a useable reliable product

AM cooking a roast then suddenly -ER5 appears and have no idea what heater is at. HOW FRUSTRATING We have only had it about 6 weeks and very little use Can someone help!!!!
I had exactly the same issue with the same model at around the same time! This happened several times and the only way I could reset the oven was to turn off the breaker for it and turn it back on again. Of course, this was not a fix. I got in contact with Glen Dimplex, who is the parent company of Belling who sent a repairman out and changed an electronics card out. Sounds like you have the same issue. Here is an email there: customer.care.ha@glendimplex.com.au, here is a phone number:- 1300 556 816 and here is an email address that they used when responding to me: Sas.Concierge@glendimplex.com.au.
Good luck!
Thank you for your time and answer. I am in NZ so will get on to the Belling people to tell them what your answer was re the electronic card.
Thank you, the NZ contact number for customer care is 09 274 8265.

The manual says communication error and to switch off power and switch on to reset system. I have done this several time for long periods of time with no success. Hello I haven’t used my stove for a couple of days but now there is a code flashing on the stove saying Er22, can I get some support please. Thank you
Switch it off at the main switch, leave it off for a few minutes and switch it back on again. this has helped with mine when I get an error code. however I'd seriously think about putting it in the bin which I probably will do with mine...hateful piece of crap.
Hi Kelly, Thank you for your question and I’m sorry to hear of this. A reset would normally fix this but if the problem persist you may require a technician to have a look at it. Thanks

How to prevent the top oven glass from sliding out effortlessly when opening top door ?
Hi John, I’m sorry to hear of this. On each corner side there should be a stopper part that holds it in place. There could be something wrong with that part as it should not be sliding out. Thanks
That is obviously the case, 4new corner stoppers ordered at £20 ( scandalous) .
Hi John, This is in reference to ordering them for Australia. The parts are available from our webshop @ external link . Part number LH 083245904, RH 083245905.
Hi, we have a belling Stirling 900e and in the last couple of days the front left element won’t produce the required heat around settings four and 5, we still get a low heat and then when you turn it up to 8 it works but you can not simmer. There don’t seem to be any error codes, what is the cause?
Hi Amanda, Thank you for your question and I'm sorry to hear that the element is not working as it should. If this is only happening to one element it may need to be changed. If you like you can send us your contact details and we can arrange someone from our service team to get on touch with you. Thanks
Thanks, I am in New Zealand. If they could email me at Amanda.wing@hotmail.com

I purchased a Belling Stirling 900Ei oven in 2013. It has had very low residential use – in fact the right hand oven has only been used 4 times. For the last 12 months or so, I have had issues with the left hand front induction plate – difficulty turning on at times, hard to adjust level of temperature etc. As this was the most frequently used plate, I simply started using another and gave this one a rest. Approximately 3 months ago, it occasionally started giving an E2 error code and a loud beeping alarm. This tended to happen more if I had been using the left hand oven or grill area. For the last month it has been screaming as soon as I turn the induction top on, making any cooking a nightmare. I have had a recommended repairer look at it, and they have informed me that the heat sensor for the full induction panel will need to be replaced, as Belling do not supply individual plate sensors replacements. Upon doing some research, I have found that this is a common fault with this oven, and it will be a considerable expense - well over $1200. I believed I was purchasing a premium product when selecting this oven, and certainly did not expect to be spending so much on repairs. Could you consider assisting with this, or suggest an alternative?
