Thread seems to not flow freely and balls up under the presser foot. Any ideas?

Hmmm..a few possibilities.. have you tried, rethreading it? It may also have a bit of fluff trapped under the foot and plate, cos they can get a bit dusty from lots of sewing, possibly your cotton, try another thread if you can..I've found this helpful, I know it's weird..or it may need a service...hope that helps!

Does this do coverstitch??

Hi Viddy....it does do a hem cover stitch....I went to classes where I bought it and found them invaluable. You can then use the overlocker to its fullest capabilities. I just love mine! Good luck with yours! Kind regards Kaiya

Hi Vesna, My Bernina model is made is Switzerland. I have had mine since 2008 and love it. x I also have the Bernina Aurora 450 Sewing machine and it too is made in Switzerland. I have sewn up a storm on these two wonderful machines. It is all down to personal choice.. xx

Is the current model made in Switzerland ? What is the price approximately ?

They are made in Japan. Bernina only produce their sewing machines themselves, all their overlockers are manufactured by Yuki. Yuki mostly produces industrial machines, which is why they are so reliable and long-lasting.
