worst tyres i have ever owned – on my new 2020.75 Wildtrak Ford ,we can hardly hear each other talk because the tyres are so noisy! as you slow down they vibrate and growl , would not recomend them to anybody, i am going to buy Yokohama tyres soon and dump the B F Goodrich , they are so bad !! Show details

Side wall split not supported by BFG warranty – Totally support Ozzie_Pilot in Darwin review that the 2014/15 batch were faulty. I had one tyre split on one outside side wall and rep claimed underinflation and refused warranty claim two and a half years into 5 year warranty. Fitted different tyres, road noise and brake pulsation disappeared and fuel economy improved immediately. Aside from the… Read more

poor performance of the tyres, BFG’s denial of the splitting issue is a concern and disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend BFG on the basis they won’t back their product when it fails and poor product performance.

Awesome – The BF muddies still had plenty of tread on them but being 6 years old were beginning to harden resulting in less traction. With that in mind it was time to brush the cobwebs off my wallet and get the Prado some new shoes. I did love the muddies but with two kids I wasn't getting out as much for pure 4x4 trips plus on road safety took a higher… Read more

precedence, so I went with the AT's. Have to say it was a good choice. So far these have been good off road but more importantly their on-road manners are great. Only had them a few months now but so far they are excellent both off and on road.

Good tyres – Have done 50000 km so far on set on vdj79,mostly highway use and rough gravel road good puncture resistance. Tyres are quite chipped out from driving on gravel roads but holding up similiar to the mickey Thompson p3. Looking to get another 15,000 before thinking about replacing. Will buy again at the right price. Paid 300 each for 265/70/16  Show details

Excellent to start with!! – Just installed 265/65/R18 in my Ford Everest. Good news is that the driving dynamics remain unchanged. It is still as good as HT tyres eventhough I installed All terrain. Durability is to be seen. Not worried about tyres anymore as it did highway and Stockton very well. Installing bullbar, brushbar, winch , lift and snorkle. Driving… Read more

dynamics??? Will be seen next week.

Handling very well with bullbar and all the rest as above. Done Stockton two more times and Lithgow twice. Handles rock, bit of mud, sand all very well. Happy with them. Hope it lasts.

Excellent to Live with:

Since I wrote the original report I have done CREB track to Bloomfield, Jawalbinna to Maytown track and Fraser. These tyres stood the test of these tracks. Having seen what happens to tyres on these tracks, now I am sure I made the right choice. Hope it helps you.

Last of the KO tires spliting around rim – I have had several sets of the BFG all terrains on my vehicles over the years and never had a problem until now. I bought one of the last ko tires 2 years ago and it was on my car for 18 months travelling about 12,000km. When I took the wheel off to change the brake pads I found severe spliting all arounr the edge of the tire near the rim. The rep… Read more

saw the tire and blamed me driving it for an extended period at low pressure. I have always run at 40psi and done nothing more than unsealed road with this tire. All of the older BFG's on the car are fine some doing 70,000km so far, but this 2015 manufactured tire isthe only problem have ever had.Looking at all these comments just shows that they have dropped the ball and i am not the only one getting poor customer service. They say they will send thetire for investigation and i will probably never hear from them again. I wont rather keep the evidence of thefaulty product and explore other avenues...

Will never use again – Tyres showed signs of cracking sidewalls. The rep said due to tyre pressure not as recommended that there is no warranty. Most people who use a four-wheel drive would use varying tyre pressures in different conditions. So the rep saying this was quiet bizarre to me. I replaced the two drive tyres to eliminate the cracking tyres with like brand… Read more

at my own expense.

The last straw was doing 105 on the freeway ( with the "recomended" tyre pressure and the whole tread peeled off the side walls. It looked like a failed retread.

I then proceeded to a tyre shop who sells the BFG amounghst other brands who told me that there have been a lot of issues with this brand of tyre and his rep has been replacing them in warranty.

Burnt by my rep and a sour taste from the brand I will not be trusting BFG on a vehicle my family travel in.

My father's vehicle is also running this brand and has noticed cracking sidewalls.

After running both BFG all terrain and BFG muddies on several vehicles it was very disappointed that the rep would not replace the tyres under warranty as I did treat these tyres any different to the ones I have previously run.

I understand that people have a preference with tyres however I have experienced the Mickey Thompson ATZ on Prado's and hiluxs on harsh rocky roads to muddy conditions and long highway runs and have been very impressed with their performance.

Poor Mileage – I have had 3 sets of BF Goodrich Allterrains and achieved over 100000 k's on two of those sets and was very happy. The third set that I bought about 2 years ago only lasted 50,000 thousand k's and it seems that the rubber compound has been changed. 60 thou is OK for cheaper brands but not for the price that you pay. I won't buy them again and very dissapointed. Such a shame. I tell everybody to buy other  Show details

Can't go wrong in the bush! – We have a fleet of v8 Cruisers that are used for remote bush work through-out NT, Australia, some of the roughest tracks in the country.. we've used other brands in the past.. with the roads up here and the way our cars are setup, we barely get 15,000km out of them.. the other hand, they stand up to the toughest tracks in Australia and even places where there are NO tracks.

We wouldn't even consider another tyre, for work on serious tracks (that are not maintained) in the top end- they're second to none.

4 stars because KO1's were far better, if we could still get them we would.

KO2s Great Tyre – I have been the owner of many 4x4 s over the last 32 years of driving and have used a variety of brands of tyres, recently I have moved back into the old trusty BFG shoes and settled into a set of KO2 all terrains. Why did they change a good product – First of all the picture of the K0 displayed here the the old type and these were great tyres. I made the mistake after having 4 sets of the old types K0's thinking the new would be the same tyre NOT true !! the new model are crap and neatly code me my caravan and car. protector is gone

3/ The tyre surface is slightly rounder.

4/ You could balance the older ones I cannot get the wobble out of there.

The older tyres were good on the road had great grip in wet or dry these tyres are dangerous and very dangerous in the wet had mine break surface on a slightly wet road into a corner with the caravan on the back doing 10 km less than the advisory speed sign once broke there was no control had come off of the breaks and drive it out.

Do not buy these tyres thinking they are based on the older model these are made to a price without the consumer in mind shame on Goodrich actually DONOT buy these tyres at all.

Not Happy Jan – Have been buying BFG's for 20+ years and always happy with performance on and off road, especially knowing they were 3ply sidewalls and towing a 3ton caravan. But the 2 last two have only done about 15,000klm and they are already showing wear, so much so we are replacing them and they are going as spares.  Show details

I'm not sure – When I purchased an FJ Cruiser the vehicle came with BFG A/T KO on it - 265 /70 R17 the previous owner towed and didnt rotate the tyres - so the rear tyres are worn down to the tread markers, but the front tyres arnt too bad. Disappointed, bad support from Michelin – I bought 5 of these tires. Not 500kms into it, one tire had crack splits along half the circumference of the tire, which I took back the dealer. Michelin came out to inspect and said the tires are perfectly fine and safe to drive, even though some of the blocks were split had come off due to the cracks - not something you'd expect after paying top dollar for premium tire. A very expensive disappointing experience for what is meant to be a tough off road tire, can't even handle my driveway, I proceeded to fit General Grabbers on my other car after this experience, and the Grabber ATs were super impressive and quieter too. Seems I have the same experience as many on here have, bad QC or storage in the sun? I don't know, the tire does not stand up to its reputation and Michelin don't seem to care. Stay away from the KOs, terrible QC complete hit or miss , I won't be buying this anymore. hopefully the KO2 solves the problem but it's left a bad taste. The other 4 tires are great even after 2000kms of use in the same condition but sour experience, expect them to fail soon - go General or Coopers instead.
