Full access through the app if your into that. Links up easily to google home as well. So on them hot days switch them on before your drive home and have that breeze hit you in the face once you open the door!!
They run quite at night. Have the capability of moving lots of air when required and are efficient to run also.
One last point. If it’s for the long hall in your own home. Before you decide not to purchase one, what ever the reason. Look at the one you are going to buy and compare the running cost and how much air it can push. For me personally I’ll always compromise on the price when it comes down to getting the best quality, efficiency and latest tec in the market.

The fans themselves (haiku) have been excellent for the outdoor entertaining areas of the house. One minor negative was that I did order one light kit for a fan, and was underwhelmed.

stars except for two issues.
The remote it came with is pretty good, but because of the way the battery compartment is designed, the batteries often shift slightly from bumps or use of the remote. When they do, they lose contact, and the remote doesn't work. A quick shake, or worst case, removing the back and re-inserting the battery fixes it - but it is a continual small frustration as the remote often doesn't work on a quick press while sitting in the wall mount.
The other issue that sometimes comes up, is with the light in the fan. We bought and installed separately (was pretty easy). But every few months we seem to have an odd issue where the light stops working properly. When turned on it will go to max brightness, then turn off, or flick through brightness settings then turn off, or turn on for a few seconds then turn off, then on and off again. Sometimes fixed by a power cycling (though not always), otherwise (so far) by a firmware update or a complete reset. Happens irregularly enough that I still really like the system, but it is annoying, and would likely be far worse for someone less tech-savvy.
Follow-up · Colour temperature is fairly warm (work well for bedroom). I haven't tested any other smart home integrations – the Haiku app is good, but has issues if the fan momentarily loses wifi connection (I've had to re-add the fan in the app a few times - keeps working fine through Home Assistant). Follow-up · The physical remote is very easy to use with no issues at all. However I tend to use the app based controller as we have the wifi option and this is even easier and allows for remote access. interfere with my wife's Our Aircon use has been reduced dramatically and on a hot night the fan doesn't interfere with my wife's sleep!

Broken out of the box and poor customer service - would not recommend – My second time purchasing a Haiku I Big Ass Fan has been a nightmare. The fan didn't work out of the box and after my electrician determined the issue was a broken internal power unit, Big Ass Fans disregarded the report and sent their own technicians to verify the issue a week later (they agreed with the initial assessment). arranging their technicians to attend was logistically frustrating, with 40 minute wait times on hold to customer service plus email correspondence. Then it took over a week and further unanswered requests from me to clarify how the issue would be resolved after their technicians issued their report. Big Ass Fans ultimately agreed to send a new fan to their technicians who will swap it over at no cost to me but have only offered $200 towards the $800 bill issued by the initial electrician who determined the fault in the first place. It's now over 5 weeks since I purchased the fan and it's costed a mountain of time and extra money and I'm still sweating it out in the middle of a heat wave without a working product. Given the high price tag and poor customer service I would advise caution against purchasing their products.
Reconsider - #ss of a fan – Look great, work well...BUT... you accidentally break one of the plastic blades, you are replacing the entire fan. "as each of the blades are carefully manufactured and balanced to only fit the fan motor they came with" "The entire fan will need to be replaced, and this is not covered on warranty" Very slow and poor customer service, expect long delays for a service reply. Didn't quote the new fan, so I guess I wait another 5 days :/
