Bird Gard Bird Repellent Gel

Worked well. Birds haven’t come back! – Easy to use, has lasted in the weather, which has been really wet! The distance you get per tube is correct to the guidelines on the tube. The repellent gel could be used by a novice all the way up to a expert.

Either the gel works very well or the birds are quick learners. Either way, no more birds – Applied to my pergola frame structure. Birds still try to land on it during the first week. You can see them getting stuck to the gel and flapping their wings trying to get out as soon as they land on it. After a week or two, all birds have learned not to land on it. However, during hot summer days, the gel does turn into a honey consistency and will flow a bit. Very difficult to clean up similar to uncured silicone. Also during the first week, the birds will tend to spread the gel around when they land somewhere else after landing on the gel. Any gel that is left uncleaned will attract other insects like a fly tape. Eventually it will be covered with dirt and dust. As long as they are applied at places that are out of sight, then everything will be fine.

One year on and still no swallows! – I applied this gel to the top surface of all external beams a year or so ago. So far it has worked extremely well and has stopped swallows from roosting on our house! No more mess and paint damage to deal with. I will interested to see how long it will work for and how easy it will be to re-apply.

Not working :( – This may work for some bird in some situations, but for Australian crows hell-bent on using a deck as a toilet and attacking windows, there's little change when applied as instructed. In fact when they attack the windows they are picking up the gel on their claws and smearing it on the glass! Sorry, but it's going to take more than smelly gel here.

Does exactly what is claims to – Pressure washed area to remove all the bird droppings and then applied the gel following day. From day one it has worked perfectly. it has been is place almost 3 weeks now and I no longer have a pproblem with bird crap all over my out door furniture

The gel definitely works – Hard to believe at first, but for me this gel totally works to keep pigeons away from balcony and windows. The gel certainly last more than a year, I don't remember exactly how long have I been using it, but even after the gel was removed, it took months for the bird to even start to come back. Because I don't want to ruin the surface which I want to apply the gel, I put clear sellotape on top of the surface, then the gel is applied to the sellotape surface, thus I can remove the whole thing easily.

The gel is quite economical as well when compared to spikes, bird wires, or calling a professional pest control.

The bad thing about it:

- the gel looks awful

- it smell awful (when you keep the gel tube on a small room, you definitely can smell it) - though that smell might be one of the factor that deters the birds

- obviously can't be used on surface where you'd make contact.

It Works!! – This bird gard gel certainly seems effective in keeping the birds away from our outdoor area. We applied it to the top of the fence, where they seem to gather. We had one pesky bird who kept coming in doors to eat from our dog's food bowl, leaving feathers and; poop all over the place! Finally seem to have found something that has worked, no birds, thus keeping me happy and our dog.  Show reply

Excellent product – This is our second purchase of the gel. It definitely keeps the crane at bay from our fish pond and I couldn't be more grateful for finally having a product that does the trick!

Does the job – I used the bird repellent gel on top of rafters where a swallows nest had been active for many years. They tried for days to rebuild in same spot but were successfully deterred, also from surrounding rafters which were also topped with the gel.  Show reply

Excellent – Birds gone from ledges around our house in one day, can enjoy our outdoor area without all the bird poo, easy to use, definitely recommend. A great product.

Excellent product for control of Pigeons – Applied the Gel to my roof and top of air conditioner, have not noticed any pigeons landing on either since application. My neighbors still have the same pigeons landing on their roofs, however the birds are totally avoiding ours.

Why did we put up with the swallows for so long? – "Apply to a clean dry surface" said the instructions - so I spent a day wiping and scrubbing all of the eaves and timbers under our verandah. Looks very nice now! Then spent 30 minutes applying Bird Gard Bird Repellent Gel. 6:30pm the swallows came home. Took them about 3 minutes of confusion to work out that our verandah wasn't a nice home anymore and we haven't seen them since. Truly amazing!

This product is awesome – We have tried everything to keep birds off our outdoor over head fan. So easy to apply and no sign of the pesky pigeons that crapped all over my outdoor setting from the minute it was applied. This is not something that takes weeks to be effective, or a "might" work, it starts straight into doing exactly what you want it to do.

Cannot recommend this product too highly. I had previously tried everything to little effect. They were very persistent.

The birds are still about and completely unharmed, but now they just don't perch where I don't want them to. Ever!

Could not believe something so simple could be so efficient. Great product!

Keeps Starlings at bay – Thanks Bird Gard. I have corrugated roofing over my veranda. Due to an unusual construction it is a haven for nesting starlings. With Bird Gard I no longer have to remove the roofing strips to clear out the nests every other year. licenced products that actually kill the birds that so much as touch it Bird Gard repels birds due to its always sticky non hardening touch. After weeks of trouble not so much as one dropping since the product was applied. To use an aussie term "this stuff works" So easy to apply with a standard calking gun, and used properly it goes a long way per tube If it was $15 per tube it would be a sell out meaning the first choice would be Bird Gard Repellent

:( Didnt really work – I put this on cardboard and taped to the chairs etc under the patio. The offending magpie even went so far as to perch on the chair and poop on the gel. It has been out there for several weeks now so didnt work in the beginning and neither over time.

Does what it says – Used the Gel in problem arrears around the outside of my home. Has worked as stated and no longer have to be scrubbing bird droppings from outside tables and window sills. Was easy and quick to apply. I have no hesitation in recommending this product. I was doubtful at first something so simple could work but have been proved wrong. Excellent Product. Amazing – Worked instantly. We had kookaburras bashing on our windows at 5am for the last 4 months. Put this gel where they land before attacking themselves in the windows and we haven't heard from them since. I couldn't believe it. I've tried painting my windows, hanging huge fake owls and hawks. to tearing up $125.00. However, I applied it on the Thursday evening and one bird landed on the roof that next morning and I have not had one since - about 3 weeks now. I can still hardly believe it - one bird used to sit on the upstairs roof directly above my desk and make that very loud calling noise which used to drive me crazy. Not anymore - it has gone. I am also able to sleep during the early hours of the morning as I don't have those rats with wings coo-ing from before sunup. Can't recommend it highly enough. It actually works!!!

Very happy with the Bird Repellent – We had been having a lot of trouble with starlings in our pergola and the horrible mess they make. We cleaned all the bird poo of all the cross beams and then applied the Bird Repellent Gel and have not had any birds in there since. So far so good! Easy to apply, smell doesn't bother people, no mess. Cost of postage.

Briiliant product – I previously had used other products which you can no longer purchase in Australia, I recently came accross this product and gave it a shot. After being very frustrated with birds in my roof space and bird dropping everywhere on the pavement, we used this product and had instant results. I applied the Bird gard repellent gel around 3 weeks ago and have not seen any signs of pigeons yet!!!!

Finally after 8 months, we are able to sleep in on weekends and don’t have to clean their mess! IT WORKS!!! , Easy to use (Just like a silicone sealant) For my application, would have been better if gel was transparent, not a toffee colour. BUT, it works so I am not bothered now!

now they have nested on my neighbours roof. I have recommended the Gel to them. It was easy to apply and had an ommediate effect It is very messy if you get it on your clothes. Wear old clothes you can throw away afterwards

returned-the ibis birds however, are more resilient and have not moved on. Not sure if its just the area I live in or they simply aren't bothered by the sticky mess on their claws. Easy to apply and distribute on the fence- my clothes line is now bird dropping free! It didnt seem to bother the Ibis birds

BirdGard Gel – The gel has stopped a pair of swallows that were roosting at our house. Very easy to apply with a caulking gun and a damaged tube of gel was replaced promptly and without question. those up to see if that eliminates the problem. Good thick gel, very sticky, birds dont like it on their feet and its meant to last 2 years before it sets and needs doing again. Difficult to apply on a high up horizontal ledge without some sort of angled applicator nozzle.
