Hi, I love my Bissell Powerwash Powerbrush! I have had it for around 10years now. I need to locate spare parts for it as the removable nozzle on the lower front of the machine is cracked and there is a piece missing off one end which means that it does not suck up liquid properly. Is this part still available? If so, Where may I get one from? Ideas on cost...?

Sorry, don't know. I have recently upgraded to a brand new Bissell.

hi, I have a powerwash series 44L6, no problem sucking water up but the sprayer is stuck on all the time. It makes no difference weather the handle switch is depressed or not, just constant spraying...any help thanks.

Does this machine need to use hot water poured in, and/or does it have own onboard heating element?

S.A.N

You put in hot water from tap

No heating element. It works with hot tap water.

whats the best carpet cleaner that doesn't leave your carpets wet for long hours afterwards?

Juliet
Juliet · PowerWash PowerBrush Select 44L6F

I have a bid sell power was deluxe it worked 2 times only. It's a piece of garbage. It hardly sucks and hardly any water sprays the carpet. I don't know if it can be fixed? I heard someone said it cost them $168 to fix theirs. It will be cheaper and if I hire one at the supermarket and it probably works better. I would never waste my money again.

Yep. And no guarantee that one wouldn't be in exactly the same position again in a few weeks. We just wore the loss and bought another from Godfreys.

Went on you tube they have videos on how to pull apart the machine. Other people have had same problem.Apparently the machine clogs up inside so you need to pull it all apart. Hopefully it will spray water and suck after my husband dismantles it. I'll leave it to him. It doesn't look easy. . You need the right screw drivers.

Will this machine clean loop pile carpets?

Marshall
Marshall

If the carpet has very short pile then it doesn't matter whether the pile is looped or cut. My problems were with a cut pile shag rug with the pile being around 2 to 2.5cm in length. The brush tended to catch in the long fibres, eventually breaking one of the two drive belts. As per my previous comments, the machine is not designed to have either drive belt replaced by the owner.

My guess is that the loop pile would be more likely to catch the brush than cut pile, so I wouldn't recommend the machine for anything more than about 1 cm length pile.

I agree with the previous comments - good on short pile carpet, rugs and on tile floors and we even used it to clean a second-hand lounge suite and a set of chairs. It is great for those jobs. Probably not worth the hassle of breaking drive belts with long carpet.

After spraying the detergent on the carpet, the machine doesn't seem to extract the moisture efficiently. Any suggestions?

Spot73
Spot73

Hi Lynn. I don't work for Bissell so I am not sure. But maybe check if you have any blockages in your tubes or front suction panel. The clear section that pulls of the front. I also do the return movements very slowly to suck up excess water.

CazzyCaz
CazzyCaz

I agree with Spot73 , you need to go slowly , and also check that the removable cover at the front is hooked back into place correctly. Also , clean out all the gunk around the brushes as well as the cover itself . Mine always seems to get full of dog fur I thought the vacuum had picked up !

Go over the wet area a few times , but always slowly !!

Can you use this machine on tiles. If so does it do a good job?

Cezz
Cezz

It says you can use it on tiles, I tried it as did others and it was terrible on tiles. Left huge puddles of water everywhere, so so ended up just mopping the floors. Going to buy a separate steam mop for my tiled floors.

Sorry but I haven't set out to use t to do tiles. When I'm near the edge of them I had a very small puddle appear here and there but that was all sucked up without issue. And the tiles were pretty clean already so Im not in a position to judge that sorry.

What kind of instructions are you looking for because mine came with a how to use it booklet. If yours is missing, you could probably find it online on the Bissell website.

I am disabled. How hard are they to clean after I use it?

jackiefuller
jackiefuller

As long as you can wash the parts in a sink? Then it'd be ok

IamJane
IamJane

The tank can be easily rinsed in the sink. If you can't get down onto the floor, you may need someone to clean the brushes out occasionally for you. Apart from that, it's really easy to maintain. I even commented to my husband how even a disabled person would be able to use this machine with ease.

How much is Bissell PowerWash PowerBrush ?

How long is a warranty?

PiStep
PiStep

I think I got a pretty good deal on it from HN @ around 420, it was about 540... Warranty is 12months.

Jorjie
Jorjie

The warranty is 12 months - maybe not very long as you may only use the machine about three or four times during that period. I've used mine 3 times since purchasing it. What I did find is that the first time I used the cleaner, I used the cleaning agent provided, the second time I used only water and brought up a whole lot of the cleaning "foam".

IamJane
IamJane

I use mine about every 2 weeks so hopefully any issues should emerge before the warranty runs out! Re the foam, after I've washed, I then go back over with plain water to try and remove some of the residual detergent. Helps stop that dry sudsy feeling after the carpets are dry. I also run back over the carpet with an empty tank to pull out any remaining loose water. It's surprising how much extra comes up doing that. I got mine for $249 from the sales.

Does it clean curtains and couches?

PiStep
PiStep

It has a hand tool that attaches to a extendable hose, you then turn a switch to hand tool, and use the hand tool to clean the couch... I have used it on a cheap fabric couch and it works pretty good (used to clean baby projectile vomit up) ..... Never tried it on curtains...
