Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Max Professional 2457P Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: 2457PWill this machine clean shag pile rugs, i have a bissell crosswave but the rollers are not suitable for shag carpets.
I dont believe this unit would work properly on shag pile carpet. It would tangle in the rollers
Hi , I've just used my proheat max professional and noticed foam lines after the drying passes , this disappeared after a while but wonder if it is leaving solution on my carpet , have halved cleaning solution to see if that helps also went over it with clean water afterwards but still have foam , its not a problem but wonder if its normal. The carpet has not been shampooed before. Thanks
Can't say I've ever experienced this issue before myself. If the carpet is relatively new and untouched by any shampooer before, it could be the result of the vacuum action reacting with leftover chemicals (used in the production of the carpet) causing temporary foaming. In this case, it should disappear after a few cleans. It may also be related to the Ph of the water you are using. Soft water will exacerbate foaming under conditions where water is being churned around by the vacuuming action. From the symptoms you have given, this seems to me the more likely scenario. In any case, a quick email off to Bissell Customer Support might highlight any other potential issue? Bottom line, I really don't thinks its anything other than water ...not leftover cleaning solution. Peter
Thank you Peter
Hi Veronica, Myself I found that I need to experiment on the "best cleaning moves" to get desired results. Maybe not to the extent that you described, but I wasn't happy with the result by following guides provided in the instruction booklet. What I ended up doing is: 1. Two x wash cycles by overlapping already washed areas in a slightly different path. 2 Four - six cycles of drying/vacuuming until no visible streaks left. After carpet left to dry there are no visible streaks on it. Sorry if explanation is confusing and hope it helps. Greg.
The Bissell formulas in Australia are 2x concentrates, so use half the amount of formula to what's recommended on the tank/in the instructions or less per full tank of water.
