Happy with my first purchase – My first Black Pepper purchase was three tops that were on sale. They arrived in good time and they look exactly as I expected from the website photos. I haven't washed them yet but the quality is fine for the price. Sizing is consistent between the three of them though I think a little generous, so I will size down next time and see how that goes. cheap cotton. One size 20 which is far too big, I ordered an 18 as two years ago I bought a lovely top size 18 the same style exactly which is perfect. Way too small The same goes for t shirts and I agree with othe reviews that the quality of these t shirts is poor resulting in pilling I’m finished with this online purchasing from Black Pepper. At least in store the quality can be checked.

Are these clothes now made in China with no quality control? Very disappointed as a few years ago I bought exclusively from this company, No more .

A very disappointing purchase – The photo of the women’s polo shirt I bought online was a light, bright, true pink, a colour I could wear. What arrived is a very dirty pink, dull and nothing like the online photo. It is made from a shiny material and I definitely will not be wearing it. It is greatly overpriced for what it is. I will not be buying from Black Pepper again.

Cannot deal with problems and complaints – My main problem was with customer service via phone. I had received one item out of two items ordered online and a puzzling note with the item basically gave the impression the second item had been cancelled but not clearly stated. I found the woman who answered as being loud, impatient, so rude, said she was only staff working that day. She insisted an email had been sent..it had not...she insisted it had and was most rude and demeaning, even laughing at my increased distress at one stage and then making an accusation I had interrupted her and hung up..which I hadn't..I finally received the second item by post without any further explanation, but any attempt I made to complain about the cust. serv. rep's manner by phone and by written customer feedback was ignored. This company obviously cannot or does not want to deal with problems or complaints, In the initial phonecall I could not believe how I was spoken to right from the beginning and she went on and on, not letting me speak or constant interrupting with a loud voice. I tried to complain on a feed back form but was ignored. I previously had been a long term customer, no previous problems with staff. I do not recommend this company.

Staff outstanding – Besides Tez from Carindale, Qld store being so very helpful with our purchases, she helped my 89 year old mother, whose shoe had just broken. Tez stapled it back together, enough to get us home and to the rubbish bin. Will be back again. Show details

Online purchases of ladies 7/8ths length slacks – I have 3 pairs of size 12 7/8ths length slacks. They are hardly worn but the waistband elastic is of such poor quality that all of them need to have the elastic replaced. I hadn't encountered this poor quality when I was able to shop in a store. I have received a BP gift card but I am hesitant to use it online if I am just going to end up more poor-quality elastic being used. Show details

brand. Also the sizing of clothing seems to be all over th place. Buy anything from a 10-14 so ordering online would be a nightmare. After they way they have treated the staff and I am sure that the Port Lincoln figures would compare favourably with most other shops, I am not sure that I wish to shop Black Pepper any more.

that these shops are closing . I don't like to shop online as I like the service I get from the staff in both these shops. So easy to access the shops, So I know I speak on behalf of the ladies here in Port Lincoln and I am sure too the ladies that use West Lakes Shopping complex as its such an easy shopping complex to access. I would call a cheap purchase. The collar was indeed narrower, the cuffs were not as well made and in general the fleece was quite inferior. I noticed both last year and the year before that the quality of the skivvies had dropped , several older ones in my wardrobe are definitely of better quality than my newer ones. My days of shopping at Black Pepper are over!!!

Disappointed – Purchased 2 winterlock skivvies size 10 online and both of them shrunk when washed first time. Now a size 8 . Washed according to instructions. Have purchased these skivvies before and never had a problem. Can still be worn underneath, but not the same generous size. The colour Jewell was not as bright as expected. Won't shop online anymore – Annoyed that black pepper continually disregard my preferences when ordering online. I always tick the box to allow the parcel to be left. Yet every single time, you mark the parcel as "signature required" Why do you have the option for customers to, request to leave the parcel when you never ever honour that request? Black Pepper to complain about the variation in pricing. First they didn't read my email properly and gave a silly response, then when I queried that I was told their pricing was the same across the entire site. Not true. Will definitely think twice about buying from them again.

No escaping them, even when dead – My wife died 8 months ago and still they keep sending emails. I hit the inscribe tag and just get sent to another upgrade page. Worse then Facebook for stopping people leaving

Very poor online service, will not shop with Black Pepper again – I ordered two pair of trousers online, and they were delivered promptly. However, they were the wrong colour and I returned them. Two weeks later, I still hadn't heard from BP, so I rang them. That appeared to initiate some action to sent me the correct coloured trousers. I rang them and they saw from the paperwork that they had made a mistake. I asked that the second pair be express post because I am going overseas in less than a week and wanted to take them with me. I was told that they would only send parcel post. I told them that would not arrive in time. It appears that BP is not interested in genuine customer service. There was no attempt to try to make amends for their error. The person on the phone would say one thing only: did I want a refund or delivery? Nothing more, no genuine concern for the problems caused. Needless to say, I asked for a refund, and will not shop with BP again.

first time I wore them. As a it was so extreme I decided not to wash them as the fleece would have clogged and contaminated my washing machine. As I was moving house at the time, I put these trousers in a plastic bag to return ASAP when I was re-settled. I had forgotten about them until recently when the cold weather started. When I took them to Black Pepper, Warwick, WA & explained the situation, demonstrating the mess made on the floor when I shook the trousers, I was told blatantly that it was too late to expect any re-dress or gesture of goodwill for a faulty product. So loyalty means nothing to state manager [name removed], nor the fact that even if outside the mandatory 12 months, this fabric was faulty & not up to the anticipated standard. I am appalled & it leaves me with a now negative attitude to this business.

Great service – I have started shopping at Black Pepper at Wynnum Plaza and i have found the quality of the clothes to be exceptional . The ladies that work there are so helpful friendly and professional m they always greet you when you enter the store. Shopping there has been a really nice experience

ordered a second pair - there was a difference between the price I paid and the price on the pants when they were delivered by Australia Post. The staff did not hesitate to accept my inquiry over the phone re this and arranged a credit without any hassle. I was so impressed to receive such professional customer service - top marks to them.
