Elizabeth, they won't answer you. Their auto-bot suggests you email them, which makes it LOOK LIKE they care, but they don't.

I had to replace a remote within the first year of my 32" Blaupunkt (during the warranty period at least!). By the end of the 2nd year, the TV itself had become virtually unworkable – super slow, intermittently freezing and often quitting out of applications. My loss was only a couple of hundred dollars, but I notice yours is a 55", so a bit more expensive. I hope the company at least replaced your remote control and that you get longer use out of your Blaupunkt than I did mine!

READ YOUR MANUAL.... Power off by removing power plug from wall leave disconnected for 1 min. Reconnect power and try to switch on with remote or button under tv. The light on the base of the screen should be red when plugged in and tv off then turn blue when you switch on with remote and TV should then function normally. These tvs do take about 2 mins to start up .

I have no idea what you are talking about. My TV does all the apps available including SBS on Demand. I do not tune in to any SBS. I suggest that you contact Google the suppliers and testers of the Android software.

Have you ever tried to contact any of those tech companies? I have! And been trying to get an answer from them for months That is why I contacted the customer service line of Ayonz After almost half an hour on the phone with them, their customer service gave me the answer that the specifications of that model was incompatible with the abilities of downloading either the SBS or the ABC iview, but could not or would not give me any concrete answer or information that made any sense otherwise Also it wasn’t Google that sold me the tv 2 months ago The warranty responsibility is with the distribution agents and they’re the responsible party here not me not google !!!!

The tv should be able to Download these apps no issue

So I recommend you reset the tv and ensure you have selected the right country region in the setting

I have already done that. The message that I now get from google play store is that the tv is not compatible with these apps I can try it again however the last time that I reset the tv it allowed me to set. The time zone to Adelaide South Australia but even though the manual says that setting the country is one of the set up steps that possibility does not come up as a specific possibility when resetting the system It appears that this setup step is missing when I set it up the first time and also when I recently reset it to try to download the apps The first time it gave. The message the apps were not available in my country After the reset it now gives me the previously mentioned message

I. Will try another reset to see if it will allow me to select a country, but as I have said this option appears to be missing in the set up steps as described in the manual

Yes you need to reset the TV and making sure that the country settings are definitely set to australia Open google play from the search function type in sbsondemand then download it do the same with iview but if your google registered address is one from outside OZ ( that was what was causing myself a problem because I had originally registered with Google when I lived in Europe years ago and my European address was still showing up in google It was only after changing the google address that it finally worked Still took me 4 resets of the tv before it was finished Hopefully this might help you to get access to the apps

It seem during setup you must have not selected Australia

Please go to settings and do a reset then during setting please ensure you have the correct settings

I had a freezing issue early on that I had to adjust the preset settings. I can't remember the exact utube video I watched on it but it fixed it right up. I needed the u-tube video as I did not find the settings function as intuitive as I expected. Have not had the turning off issue so can't offer any suggestions on that.

I've had the same problem and unfortunately there maybe more than one cause to choose from. The one I suspect that is most likely and not limited to this brand is the remote is very sensitive (I'm tempted to argue faulty). The power button may be "sticking". If it persists you have to either get a new remote or pop the battery out each time. The other common cause is to do with internal timers. I find it tends to happen when I have been recording something on my connected DVD recorder whilst also watching netflix. When I switch off it can then turn back on, usually around the end of the timer. But I have not figured out a way to fix that. Hope that's some help.
