Easier application process . No digital app. Non user friendly processes .
1. the application process was easy as. We are company directors (pty/ltd) and We used a broker who advised us that bluestone are one of the mortgage suppliers who does not require extensive company financial as well as private which make sense as we are applying for ourselves and not the business. (Which made the process easier- with nab in the past we had to supply all company and privet financial data).

Jess has been just amazing from Day 1 till settlement. She absolutely went out of her way to help us with our refinance. She has been very responsive to all our queries. We can't thank you enough Jess. Well done to Jess and the Bluestone team. A very streamlined process for refinancing.
Unethical Practices Bluestone Mortgages
My mother has been a loyal Customer and they were not helpful in her situation. She pays $700 per week (ie. $2800 avg per month) for a principal loan amount of approximately $340k. This is an unreasonably high rate (7.09%) in the current climate (2% - 4%). My mother - who is on a pension thought to refinance but I believe Bluestone behaved unethically giving her a high rate. I do not recommend Bluestone at all !! Very bad to deal with and when you call you are on hold for a long while. You can get better rates elsewhere. I have a $1.1 m dollar loan and pay $757 per week - this just indicates how out of touch Bluestone.
Forget the big banks
Jessica was absolute gold Great service. Product ticked all of our requirements, better than the big banks and a fantastic interest rate, that was reduced further during the application process.

I wanted to put in a glowing review for Jessica Wilson. She helped my husband and I with our mortgage and she is absolutely phenomenal!!
Throughout the process she was ALWAYS ready to answer questions, she helped to get documents out to us and back as quickly as possible and then she fixed a HUGE HUGE HUGE mistake by another major lender.
Jessica was the only mortgage broker willing to listen to our complicated financial situation and talk about options. She was the only one that didn’t take the easier option of saying she couldn’t help us.

I have recently done a refinance with Jessica Wilson from Bluestone, this is about the 7th mortgage I’ve taken out and by far the most hassle free!
Jess and the Bluestone team were so efficient and switched on through every step of the process.
The rates are competitive with others for the type of loan I was after and also I got a 85% lend with no LMI.
I won’t hesitate at all to recommend them to friends/family.

Don't waste your time, for a rate review of the loan, it took this offshore teams [Names Removed] - complaints manager, [Name Removed] variations manager, almost 5 hours waiting time on the phone, no outcome, customer experience in handling this was poor. highly recommend that they do not get businesss!
Little slow to get over the line but great now
first I would like to say if you have problems paying they would be on the phone the next day maybe after a couple of weeks they will threaten with a default but after all I got a home loan so happy next year I move to a big bank just know this first here we go. Hi ALL I have had a home loan with bluestone for 8 months now I am just glad to have one at all I have found that as long as you pay your loan they leave you alone I have had no problems with them I did get worried when this virus thing happened and I was new so I called to talk if lif...e gets tough they seemed great and said they could make payment arrangements if I needed but I got through so far I have always found them good to deal with as I don't like online much so I call by phone because I pay before my monthly payments come out and I need to tell them not to take my direct debit payment out again or if I dont have the money it would be a $50 fee my rate was 3.39 I think that's fair so no problems they aren't a big bank there I am fixed for 2 years I was happy for that so I understand everyone has a different situation this is only my experience with bluestone I just wanted to write this because there's so many bad reviews and I did have a good experience

Hello -Can you please explain why you are not passing on the RBA Rate Cuts
They sent me a letter outlining a few things. They claim because they are not a bank they are not required to and that they have higher costs than banks as they source their money from elsewhere. They...also say during this Covid19 situation they are not reviewing rates. Which is just an excuse to not pass on any rate cuts and maximise their profits. There have been 3 rate cuts not during Covid19 since I took out my loan with them and they haven't passed on any of them. Complete and uettwr thieves. I urge everyone to steer clear of these unscrupulous lenders.
They hide behind saying - we are not a bank AND it is not mandated,.....
They source their funds from the Banks, which themselves have lower Borrowing costs

You people need to address you're previous dealings with elderly customers from 2006 and onwards.
Clean up your shameful service and apologise the distress you have caused so many elderly people in Australia. You're dealings have violated the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 - SECT 118.
It will not be the last time you hear from families about these incidents.

It was with great dismay and stress they found out...
My parents also got a reverse mortgage 15 years ago with Bluestone and they were told the exorbitant amount of money that they will have to pay out to have the reverse mortgage released. I find this a...bsolutely appalling that a company would take such advantage of elderly customers who don’t read the fine print as they trust the person explaining the mortgage to them. They are now stuck as they can’t afford to get out of the mortgage as they are pensioners.
