Tried to swindle a woman and – Fitted 2021 tyres after telling me 2023 tyres would be fitted, and destroyed my property!!!! Called for a quote- spoke to owner, booked in for 5 new tyres and explained why I wanted 2023 tyres and was told no problem but depended what he had in stock but could be 2022 I said ok but nothing older than that. and he looked at the tyres and they were 2023. Explained I wanted to keep old tyres to use on farm (spare tyre brand new but 2006). Returned and told car ready, paid bill and was told by owner that he had drilled spare tyre as was to old, explained I was not happy and I wasn't going to sell as just to use on farm. I then went to leave but inspected tyres..... one tyre 2023, 4 tyres 2021!!!!!!!!!!! Went back inside to speak with owner and said I wasn't happy as I was told they would be 2023, he said that is what stock he had and I explained I wasn't happy and the only reason I was replacing was so my daughter had the newest tyres. The owner then said he would have to order more in but no guarantee they would be 2023 and that he couldn't let me drive off with the new tyres on, so I said I understand so put the old one's back on and refund my money. He said hang on a minute let me just check some other stock I have and what do you know he had 4 more 2023 tyres WHAT A SURPRISE!!! I felt now he had just double shafted me because I was a woman and that I wouldn't know what to do. He also promised me to replace spare tyre because I said he should have checked with me prior to drilling as it was my property not his to destroy, well it is nearly 2 weeks and still no replacement tyres and the only contact I have had from him is when I called (twice). I am sick of the run around.
