the morning window to get them same day (or so I thought). Told me he'd see what he could do and come back in a few hours.. to his word, my wheels where ready in 4 hours. If you like good old fashioned friendly customer service as I do (because I'm old) do yourself a favour and hit up the team at Bob Jane, Hoppers.

Fantastic service from Jamie and the team at Traralgon Bob Jane T-Mart. He was able to get me a great deal, and was great at informing me of what was happening as part of the service and why, and let me know about the benefits I can access as part of their long life plan. my car was ready and he said yes. I asked why I was left waiting for 30 minutes and he said “Dunno”. I won't be giving Bob Jane another opportunity to put the customer last. Don’t give a d#mn service is becoming all too common nowadays.

was informed that the incorrect stud pattern had been ordered for my vehicle. After some delay, the correct wheels were eventually sourced and fitted with the 35-inch tyres I supplied.

When I later attempted to install the wheels on my vehicle, I noticed that several balancing weights had already fallen off. A test drive confirmed significant steering wheel vibration consistent with improper balancing. I made a follow-up appointment to have the issue rectified. On arrival, the manager refused to address the problem, stating that the tyres were an illegal fitment. After discussion, he agreed to rebalance them only if I returned with the wheels transported on a trailer.

I went home, refitted my original wheels, and returned with the set on a trailer. On my return, I was told I had taken too long and that the matter would not be addressed until the following day. This wasted my only day off work. I ultimately chose to have the wheels rebalanced at a local independent tyre shop.

Separately, at the Highpoint branch, I previously had a wheel fitted that was missing a bolt. This is a fundamental safety issue. A missing wheel bolt is not a minor oversight — it represents a serious lapse in quality control and final inspection procedures.

In both cases, the issues relate to basic workmanship and quality assurance rather than complex technical problems. My concern is not just the inconvenience, but the apparent lack of systematic checks to ensure work is completed safely and to standard.

Based on my experiences, I would advise prospective customers to carefully consider alternatives, particularly where safety-critical components such as wheels and tyres are involved.

I placed a phone order during a Black Friday sale for tyres that were not in stock and was clearly told a refund would be available if I needed to replace my tyres while waiting. From that point on, obtaining a refund became a prolonged and stressful process. Over more than a month, I was given constantly changing and contradictory information — asked for bank details, then told refunds must be done in store; told no refund was possible because the tyres weren’t in stock; later told a refund would only be possible once stock arrived; and finally refused a refund in store due to technicalities, despite the original payment being taken over the phone.

The store manager, [Name Removed], was dismissive and rude in his interactions, ignored follow-ups, and repeatedly shifted responsibility onto the customer. The lack of professionalism and accountability was very frustrating.

I would strongly caution others when dealing with this store, particularly for phone orders or items that are not in stock.

Very impressed at the service I received today. A last minute, urgent job to replace two tyres. They squeezed me in with no complaints and were respectful of me sharing that I was budget conscious, which I appreciated.
