I recently purchased 8 tyres for our 2 cars from Bob Jane T-Mart in Oakleigh with a total spend of ~$4k. Whilst I've had reasonable services from them over the years, this particular experience did not end well. One of the tyre had a puncture… Read more

after 3 months, so I brought the car into the shop, they stated that I had to come back the next day due to staffing issues (fair enough). On inspection on the second day, they were unable to detect any issues and advise me to keep driving the car to see if the problem would persist - it did!. After a third visit, a puncture was detected and repaired. After a few weeks, the tyre issue resurfaced, which was also inspected by the Bob Jane team, and the assessment was that I needed a new tyre.

The sales gentleman stated that the cheapest price for the tyre was $425, but I was able to find a cheaper one online for $370 and asked if they could price match. To which the sales gentleman snidely stated that he couldn't give it to me for free. I responded by stating that I didn't ask for a free tyre, I merely asked for a price match given that I had purchased the tyres only 4mths ago and at a cheaper price at $399. He concluded that the price was $425 or they can price match at $370 but would charge $55 for the fitting - there was no point carrying on the conversation any longer so I paid and left.

I hope others have a better experience than I did. For myself, I will try the smaller local tyre shop in the future in hope for a better experience.

John was helpful and accomodating! Gave me a great price (buy 3 free 1)! The car was ready in less than 2 hours. Decided to walk to nearby Chadstone for a coffee and time passes so quickly! No issues with the tires so far and will be called in three months for a complimentary alignment. Highly recommended Bob Jane T Mart! Show reply

Disappointed regular – I have always bought my tyres and had them serviced from Bob Jane Oakleigh for all my cars. minutes. I ignored the text they sent because I thought it was an error - the guy who accepted my car certainly didn’t tell me it would only be that long after many years of loooonnngg waits. When I expressed my frustration on collection I was brushed off. I don’t know about Bob Jane staff but that is big chunk out of my day and I am not impressed.
