Bonaire MB5 Series Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhat is error Co 57 please?
I am finding the Bonaire heating very noisy, what’s the quietest mode? Can you turn the fan down (I think it’s the fan rate that’s making the noise?)
Sorry Sonya, Our system is quiet . We only ever run on program. It is just unreliable. Our old one was 17tears old and never once let us down it was still going, but was told this would be better and cheaper to run, false on both. Should have kept older one not bonnaire
Does anyone know which pins on the digital thermostat connector within the heater / on the controller correspond to red, yellow, green & white on generic digital thermostats?
The Bonaire navigator controller has a 4 pin cable with identical connections at each end. I want to continue to use my existing thermostats by cutting off the thermostat end on the new control wire and hard wiring it via screw connectors.
Bonaire have not responded to my e-mails!
Why can't we obtain a wiring diagram and list of fault codes with explanation for Bonaire heaters,,,I want for MB5-20i ? Bonaire don't want you to know...not at all helpful. Will not purchase a Bonaire heater ever. BEWARE
Wiring diagram inside top panel. Fault codes available on the internet. Fault codes come up on controller screen.
What does the code mean HE 72 and underneath Co25 shows on navigator, Heater ia a Bonaire MB5-20i
The manager of Specialised Heating and Cooling at 7 Norton Dr. Melton might know, or one of the Senior staff. Phone number 03 9743 7633.
Check on internet or ring Bonaire
How often should the gas heater service or carbon monoxide be tested? And how much would it cost for the test?
Every 2 years. Cost about $269.
Thanks Denbar
have I made a mistake in purchasing this unit
No. Excellent. Quiet and cools exceptionally well
Have I made a mistake in purchasing this unit.
I bought my unit 2 years ago and it never worked once installed. After 5 weeks and 4 visits by serviceman it was repaired and has worked okay since. The unit is very noisy but seems to work okay at the moment.
Can anyone recommend this unit.
The Bonaire unit has been pretty good, though it's over 5 years old now, I'm sure the current models are different. I don't know anything about the current Bonaire models, but I do know someone who installed a Brivis 6 star ducted heater with touch screen controllers recently which is simple to use and performs very well.
I have installed a Bonaire MB5 21E with a wireless controller, the problem is the controller keeps on dropping out and that turns off the heating, is this a common problem with wireless controllers???
I have not had any issues with the wireless controller.
Do you have a hard wired controller too? I was told at least one hard wired controller is required for proper functioning.
bonaire have fixed the problem, although it took 2 service calls. The problem was a faulty switch, the heater is now working well.
