Worst Service I Have EVER Received
My first purchase with BTBC was April 2019. I ran into so many bumps in the service. When I did finally get my order, the quality of the styles were awful (something like yo'd order on AliExress for a fraction of the price), the sizes were also not true-to-size. Due tho this, I returned the items. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and agreed to the store-credit (even though I wasn't offered the option to get a refund). I sat with this credit for just about a year as all of their stock was always "out-of-stock" or on pre-order (without an est...imated date when it will be recieved. By March 2020, they changed their policy and sent out an email saying that they offer refunds, I asked politely for this but do you think they would budge? Absolutely not. It wasn't until September that i finally found a style I likes (it was pre-order but it was something). Upon trying to purchase - their AfterPay was not working. After sorting this, between ordering (Septemebr 2020), I STILL do no have my order (it is now May 2021). I had to constantly follow up each month to find out what was happening and of course, I got no real answer from anyone. During this time, I was told so many times that as soon as they have the stock in I would be notified and sent tracking. December 2020 I asked to have my postal address changed > Jan 22 2021 I followed up again - nothing > March 2020 I followed up again and had the response that my package was sent in January - how can a business be that disorganised to tell me at the end of that same month that they had nothing for me? Not only this but they took no note of my address change and sent it to my old address. After more apologies on the 29th March, they said they would send out my order again. I heard nothing for just about a month so once again - it was me that had to follow up again. No surprises here - a couple weeks later they tell me they didn't have my order in stock "again" and failed to inform me. Just to top it off, they couldn't even use their own incentive to go search my order and had to contact me AGAIN to get information on my sizing and address to send replacement to. One style they could replace in a slightly different colour and one they could not replace at all. I am STILL dealing with this company trying to get a refund for the second item. I've asked nicely if they could bend the rules slightly due to the circumstances and several times, this was ignored in their response.

Scam do not buy from this company. Ordered a dress 3 months ago and it did not turn up. Asked for a refund but a staff member who goes by Hannah refused to refund me as she said they can't on pre orders (what crap). After emails back and forth they agreed to a refund as legally they have to due to the goods not being received when specified. Online order submitted back in Nov‘20 has not been delivered. No honourable resolution to provide a full refund despite ongoing email requests. Save your money or go with another reputable company. No transparency or accountability held by this site.
Terrible refund policy
The same as many reviews. Patronising emails where they call you pet names implying their policy adheres to the ACCC. I found their sizing inaccurate and it took me 2 years to find a dresses to use my credit on, that frankly I don't even like. The business owner needs to listen to feedback and change her business model. They are sending out the chance to win $500 vouchers for POSITIVE reviews on TrustPilot. Don't trust them.

AVOID. This website is a scam. I ordered the Natalie Dress and the Lexie Dress back in AUGUST 2020. A month later I reached out to BTBC to see why I hadn’t heard an update on my order and [Name Removed] told me that the order hadn’t shipped because they were waiting on the Lexi Dress which was on pre-order. Which was never stated on their website when I bought it. I kept having to reach out (they would never take the initiative) every month for an update. September, October, November, December, and January. It was February when I gave up. [Name...Removed] sent me in circles, blaming Covid shipment delays, blaming dresses being out of stock or on pre-order, blaming my shipment getting lost. Then when I threatened to file a dispute against the payment I had made so long ago without receiving what I paid for, she said she can offer me store credit. I tried using this but tried to get me to PayPal her for the remaining few dollars for shipment etc. And I never heard back. I lost $150 and wasted so much time. Avoid this website at all costs. It is TOO risky.

I purchased a jumpsuit and had accidentally forgot to put the code so I reordered with the code and emailed asking for the other order to be cancelled and refunded. It’s been nearly a month and I’ve messaged on various platforms with absolutely no response, not even an email of an update for my order.
I then put in a complaint to the ACCC which was rejected for a refund despite the website claiming “they know, or should have known, they would not be able to supply the products or services within the timeframe indicated or if no timeframe was p...rovided, within a reasonable time.” I haven’t even had a response within a reasonable timeframe. After reading these reviews I cannot believe this is occurring on a wide scale and nothing seems to being actioned against this website.
Don not give them any of your money- you will never see your clothes or get your money returned
Purchased an item last year which Hannah told me it was delayed due to COVID. She told me it was shipped last year in Nov. I never received and she would not give me the tracking number. She would not give me a refund and now has stopped replying to my emails. She’s a fraud!
I’ve followed up with the ACCC- has anyone else had any luck with shutting her fraudulent business down?
After reading some of the reviews I was nervous about ordering however my item came extremely fast and I had no issues.

Thank you for being truly terrible at customer service and deciding to ignore me. What a legend you are. The experience I’ve had with this brand has been terrible, constantly changing the dates of delivery so you wouldn’t have to refund me. Then ignoring me and sending a text saying my order is on the way. I feel like this is a way for you to silence me and I doubt the dress is on the way. Very shady way to conduct business.
The screenshot attached is after a promise that the product was coming in a month earlier, only to be informed it’s not at the warehouse a month later after wondering where my order was.

I placed an order in may 2020 for a dress, to have to follow them up 2 months later to be told, it was stuck due to Covid. I have followed up 3 more times since. All times they blame Covid. They dress was even advertised to be restocked in September!!!?? I’m now in Feb 2021 still no dress.... I’ve never experienced anything like this ever! Do not give them your money!!

I ordered a dress 12 months ago (March 2020) and due to covid was told my item had lost tracking and they unsure when it would arrive. Within the 12 months, I was the one communicating with them and initiated contact each time to obtain information about the whereabouts of my order. The staff were nice, although had no information to offer about my dress. They did offer other options like exchange or 120% store credit. Multiple times I did request a refund where they explained they do not offer refunds, only store credit. I ref...used the request as I wanted to wait for my particular order. During this time I noticed on the website that the item was back in stock. I sent an email inquiry and was told that indeed it had arrived and I would be sent the item. After a few weeks I still had not heard anything so I emailed again and was then told once again the item hadn’t arrived and they weren’t sure when it would return in stock. Earlier this year (2021) I decided I had waited long enough and decided to chose a different item to swap. I was asked to pay $30 difference without justification as to what difference I’m paying for exactly as I was offered the 120% store credit and there was a 50% sale at the time, therefore questioning the true remaining difference. After this I was offered either a store credit or gift card so that I could order it on my own. The staff were quite short with the responses and not particularly willing to offer much information but instead just sending me the gift card or store credit and no response, I assume hoping to just close my case. I ended up receiving the gift card which was only to the value of my original purchase and had to put the order through myself, still out of pocket a small figure. After all of this I did get a new dress and luckily enough with quick shipping. I was quite understanding and patient throughout as I thought Covid was the issue and could not be helped, however I do not believe I was treated well as a patient customer by the end of the case. I would not recommend using this company.

Initially placed an order in September and the item did not fit appropriately so returned for a refund, only to be advised they do not offer refunds but will provide me with a 100% credit for the item that does not expire. Upon receiving my credit note, I realised they had put an expiry date on there (contrary to what they advised). They removed this expiry date and I placed another order in December.
I am still waiting for that to be sent to me. As it is well over due I have contacted them on multiple occasions ...and they offer another credit note (to which I decline given that they cannot guarantee that the same thing won’t happen again). I have asked for a full refund on multiple occasions, although they ignore my emails whenever I request this. Absolute scam. I will be reporting to the ACCC.

Ordered a dress and expected delays as said on their website, latest late November. I have heard nothing for weeks so contacted them and was told that the website always said to expect it at time of purchase as late December - this is untrue as I was ordering for an event so I was careful with shipping times. After this they only offered store credit or a different dress in the wrong size. After weeks I had to go through PayPal to receive my refund and I believe I only got this as BTBC stopped replying to me all together. I ended up speaking wi...th several staff members and the owner Hayley - she was the one who stopped responding after 1 email. Overall this store is extremely unprofessional in their dealings with customers, and is more than happy to sit with your money while you have to spend countless weeks running around to try to get a refund. If it wasn't for PayPal I don't think I would ever have seen a single dress or cent of my money.
I ordered a dress in March 2020, expected some delays due to covid and their manufacturers are based in China. It is now February 11th 2021, and I've been given the run around via email for MONTHS. I’m tired of it, tried to be patient. I will be contacting my credit card for a refund since every time I ask for a refund or even a lousy store credit my question is avoided. I am no longer interested in their store credit at all, why would I want to wait another tear to receive NOTHING. If you’re looking for a sign to not order from born to be chic, this is it. Spend your money somewhere else.
Purchased a dress with express postage. Contacted store 4 days later after not hearing about dress being shipped. That’s when the lies started. Was told they were trying to get onto me (they weren’t) and that the website was wrong they had sold out of my size. Was offered only a exchange or different size. Said I wanted my money back. Didn’t hear from them until days later when they said yep no worries how did you pay (strange they should know this) I told them and have since sent 3 follow up emails including email that state I went to PayPal disputes about them. To this day no response and no money refunded. Reviews state they do this all the time. Don’t be fooled.

Horrendous customer service from Hayley who owns the business. Purchased a dress in September 2020 and its now February 2021 and still have not received the item and no communication. Terrible!!!

Ordered several months ago. First package I was given someone elses tracking details, seems to be common by reading reviews probably to get you off their backs temporarily. Second package they sent finally arrived minus two dresses which they agreed to a refund too. Now not replying to multiple emails. And have not sent refund.
Will take others advise and report to authorities. Already reported to accc and they confirmed this is illegal and have put me in the right direction.

This company has no conscience when it comes to taking your money and not delivering the goods. Paid for a dress I haven't received and was given the runaround stating that covid and transport issues were to blame. Well to debunk that claim, I received an item I purchased from a company in Russia within 5 weeks in the height of the pandemic. Numerous emails have been sent to [name removed] and I contacted the ACCC. Here is a snippet "The business can offer to fix the problem by offering replacement products or services but it's up to you whe...ther you agree to accept them." I didn't accept a credit note, so therefore I am entitled to a refund. She has stopped replying to emails and I've now been advised to make a complaint to NSW Fair Trading which I have done and suggest if you are in the same situation, we all bring her and her bogus company down.
