them a DM on Instagram, an automated response came back telling me to email them. I did again. No response. I sent another email asking for a refund as I ended up replacing the dresses I have yet to receive. No response.

I have emailed them before on a previous purchase and they have responded so I am not sure why they are not responding now.

I have just given up on getting my dresses or money back. I have reported them to the ACCC

When you follow up they will be very nice and will use excuses like COVID delays, email system errors, problems with post to make you think your item is still coming. This is to delay you from requesting a paypal refund so they get to keep your money (a dispute case needs to be filed within 180 days from the date of the transaction or will be rejected by paypal). If you send Born to be Chic enough emails or complain to shopify they may provide you with a store credit but you will be stuck in the viscous cycle of ordering a clothing item you may never receive. My advice is to stay away from this company and try finding the item you like from a different online store as they often have the same clothing items.

my order as I had received no updates to say my order had been processed and shipped. I got a reply back to say my order had indeed been shipped and to check my junk mail. There was nothing in my junk mail. They say they have been having system issues that they are trying to work around and they'll try to send it again. Still nothing was received on my end.

By the 8th of April I followed up again to say nothing had been delivered and I still have not received any shipment details. Two days later I got a response that she was unwell but hadn't forgotten about me and would look into it for me by the following Monday.

I have NOT heard anything from them since then! I asked for a full and immediate refund on the 26th of April, a whole month and 6 days since I made the order, which has been completely ignored.

The worst part is that my friend ordered the same dress in a different color about a week prior to me - she has been given the same story and run around as me. She also has had her money taken with no dress shipped or delivered in one and a half months! It's just ridiculous.

I understand being patient during these uncertain times, but this has been an absolute joke.

All in all, an absolute scam! Do not waste your money and time.

on behalf of my Maid Of Honour who bought 2 Natalia dresses (same style as we have bought prior) recently in a sale to complete my bridal parties outfits. We did not expect such rubbish quality products. These are not the dresses we have ordered prior, we're not the correct sizes or finishing. We did not re-examine their returns policy before ordering the most recent order BECAUSE we were already aware of the quality & process they offered on purchases being existing customers. Upon expection now, we feel cheated and manipulated that we even ordered during this 'sale' because of the fine print amongst their reformed returns policy pertaining to the Natalia dresses. This was not clear when we ordered. Nor is the policy accurate as the faults are far more sinister than described!!!

Chasing a 100% refund, not store credit or store exchange, for our order. We've tried sending back the stock but they have not replied with any information or return address. Looking through their Instagram and online reviews, it seems we were lucky to even receive fake dresses...

This is an awful experience as a customer! Do not buy from this site!! We have reported the site to Shopify via https://www.shopify.com/legal/report-aup-violation and are still chasing our refund!

I don't mean to speculate but there is probably inventory and shortage issues and someone messed up along the line of saying there would be availability on the site. Before this there was no issues - before covid, I had no problem. I think this is a business that fell apart due to the pandemic ! I followed up in Oct 2021 and [Name Removed] from born to be chic stated there had been delays with Covid which I was understandable about and she stated she would keep me updated and as soon as my item arrives they would send it. It's now mid Dec 2021 and I emailed again as I hadn't received anything at all via email or post from them. [Name Removed] replies and states that apparently my order was sent in November and that she would "launch an investigation through Australia Post". By this stage I was getting pretty frustrated as I wanted the dress for a holiday trip I had planned in early December. No tracking details or dispatchment email had been sent to me which was odd and I have never had issues with Australia post so it was pretty clear something was up. I asked multiple times in emails for tracking information and I got ignored every time. [Name Removed] kept offering other items in exchange as my dress was not in stock in my size to resend free of charge. I asked for a full refund as I didn't want store credit and pressed on about tracking information again (by this point this was early Jan 2022). [Name Removed] eventually replied and stated that it was too late and "the tracking number had been archived". They ignored every request for a full refund. Eventually I stated I would be taking it to the ACCC within a week if I don't get a full refund. Suddenly I get a reply stating my dress is now available in my size and they could dispatch it ASAP. This was very hard to believe seeing as by this stage I was absolutely fed up and knew based on these reviews I wasn't going to receive anything and it would just go on and on. I stated that I was no longer interested as I didn't trust their service and I wanted the dress way back in early Dec for a holiday trip which had past now. They have stopped replying to my emails and I'm currently processing a refund through my bank. This is definitely the worst experience I have had shopping online and I am hoping with the $39.95 storewide sale they are currently advertising means they are shutting down.

Save your time and money - shop somewhere else – My first purchase from BTBC a few years ago was fine, however the last couple have been an absolute nightmare. Customer service is basically non-existent if you have an issue. There is a reason comments are turned off on their instagram page. Save your time and money and shop elsewhere.

Owner is a liar + I can’t unsubscribe – I ordered a dress and after it didn’t arrive I emailed [Name Removed] who assured me it was listed as ‘pre order’ when I ordered. I had screenshot the website when purchasing and it was not listed as a preorder but she blatantly lied. I have tried unsubscribing from these emails multiples times but am still sent marketing. Unethical and dishonest.

8 months of waiting, no delivery and no refund – Long story short. Placed an order July 2021. 7 months later now, still no delivery. Excuses about covid19 delaying shipment was okay for a while. I never received my purchase – I never received the dress I ordered. After contacting them several times, they never responded to me. I have reported this business to Shopify, Instagram, Paypal and my bank. As they never sent a refund, I'm awaiting to resolve the charge on my credit card with my bank. If you can, please report this business.

Avoid at all costs – Do not buy from here. I have been messed around since April 2021. I gave them $200 for items that I never received and that they claimed were lost in the post, but never sent confirmation of dispatch. Since then they have refused a refund and keep trying to get me to accept different products instead. Each time I have agreed to this there has been another excuse and further delay. I just want my money back. They are a total scam.
