This induction hob has less common hot plate diameters @ 14.5 (normal), 21 and 28cm. Making most induction cookware incompatible with the two larger rings. Do Bosch have induction compatible cookware for these larger sizes? I recently purchased our house with this induction hob. It is easy to clean! but for real coking, Im not convinced, also I've had to replace all my cookware to accommodate the hob - yet the two large hotplates are causing problems it saucepans do not fit the size exactly.

More importantly, it is not possible safely to run all hotplates simultaneously if using a frying pan on one. Edges collide.

I am not surprised Bosch has discontinued this model.

Thank you for your prompt reply. However, you look at the recommended Iittala website. None of their induction saucepans are in stock. The Specifications do not give the dimensions of the pans. Checking other websites selling Iittala cookware it would appear that the recommended pots and pans would not fit the model of Induction hob that we have, though they would fit new Bosch models. Also, most cookware manufacturer's specifications for pots and pans offer diameter measured at the top of the saucepan/s. Often the base is smaller. It is expensive to make mistakes when landed with an induction hob as the one we have. I hope Bosch have resolved these issues with their newer ranges.

Hi, do Bosch induction cooktops work with "induction compatible" cookware? I have Bacarrat and Tefal induction cookware, would they work on your products?

And how come some cooktops don't accept so called induction compatible pots and pans??

Thanks,

Bosch Home Appliances

Hi Disneyfan26, Thanks for your question regarding compatible cookware for Bosch Induction cooktops. Our cooktop requirements depend on the particular model, most of our cooktops need around 95% coverage with magnets of any burner. This requirement is for safety reasons, making the cooktop a safer option for households with kids and people with pacemakers.

A lot of cookware that is "induction suitable" has ripples on the bottom which means only half of the pot is making a magnetic connection with the cooktop. We recommend a sandwich base pan, and we do also sell cookware that we recommend that is known to work best on our induction cooktops. This is iittala cookware.

Hi Recently bought this product to replace a previous model which had both induction and the standard electric heating. We are having some problems with operating two hotplates at once. I understood that we could not use the boost and the 9 setting on our previous hotplate, but am wondering if we can actually use two hotplates at once?

Yeah, we use all three hotplates without any problems. Sounds like there may be a fault with yours perhaps? Or something with the setup regarding the power supply. If you installed it yourself, I would get an electrician out to ensure that that's not the problem first. My husband is a brilliant airline sparky, but he still hired someone to install this for us. Good luck!

Dear Tetyasonya, Thanks for your review, we really appreciate your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Bosch PIL615R14E Cooktop. This cooktop allows you to use 2 hotplates with the boost setting at the same time. Unfortunately we are unable to identify the cause of your issues from your review and would like to investigate further.

Are you using pots that are compatible with your Bosch PIL615R14E Cooktop? This cooktop requires 90% of the surface area to be covered with a compatible pan. If you are using the correct pots and they are successfully covering 90% of the hot plate please contact our After Sales Support team on 1300 368 339 during business hours for further assistance.
