We accidentally hit the ECO button and because it is now locked on, our dishes and cutlery never dry. We have tried to RESET by holding the START button down until the 0.01 flashes but this has not released the hold of the mad ECO setting. It's like something out of science fiction. Has anybody else had this problem and how can it be fixed? Kevin

Hi! We have this model (SMS69T18AU) of dishwasher. The problem is that the rinse aid indicator light is coming on even after it has been filled up. This is a new problem as up until a couple days ago the light had always gone off after the rinse aid was filled up. I have tried to use the reset function with no success. If there are any suggestions I would like to try. Thanks in advance.

Hi Davidsco I'm sorry, I can't help. We scrapped the Bosch dishwasher after only 18 months from new as the cost of the parts needed to repair it were over $400. This was just for the parts, so a service technician was on top of that and assumed that no other parts were needed. No point sending good money after bad so it went in the dump-master.

Junk at Rolls-Royce price. Trading on their name.

The rinse aid and check water light are on and the machine won't start - this is a new machine 2 weeks old - the company has given a ref number but the technician is 4 weeks away from visiting or 2 weeks if we send it 100kms by road - this is not good enough for a machine this price - I have done all the checks etc but still won't go - I may as well have gotten the old one repaired as wasting money on a new one. Can you do something with this?

My Bosch dishwasher is the worst I've ever had at drying, it does not dry we have to hand dry everything that comes out of it and there is no setting to extra dry times, people telle u have to use rinse aid but if I spend 2000 on a dishwasher I shouldnt have too.

Any advice?

KitKat

I haven't experienced a problem with wet items. But I do use rinse aid every time (mostly because I like the result on the glass-wear).

What setting are you using?

Bosch Home Appliances
Bosch Home Appliances   DM

Hi Rossgillespie, Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the performance of your Bosch SMA69T18AU dishwasher. Here are the basic tips we suggest for getting the best performance from your dishwasher:

1.Turn on Extra/Intensive drying mode (found in the instructions)

2. Leave door closed for additional 10-20min after unit finishes

3. Do not run wash & then leave dishes in the unit for an extended period of time (overnight)

4. The Quick 30min wash program does not have a drying phase

5. Must be connected to cold water tap only

If, after following the suggestions above, you still can't get your dishes dry, can you please contact our After Sales Support team on 1300 368 339 during business hours so we can help you investigate?

Regards BoschHomeAu

For dishes not drying especially plastic, use liquid rinse aid it helped me as I to had wet dishes. Unfortunately Bosch have designed it to operate like this. I to though that with a machine of that price it was unnecessary. As for dirty dishes you have to figure out how to place dishes. Even though there is so much room you can over crowd it. Disappointing I know especially when my other Bosch appliances seem ok.

When the rinse aid AND the check water lights come on what does it mean? I have gone through all the resolutions for the separate errors with no result, but there is none listed for both of them lighting up stating whether it represents a different error.

Contacted Bosch and sourced a warrenty service centre in the area. Service person replaced the pump and motherboard. These actions did not fix the problem, they also had the effect of blowing the digital display on the front of the machine. The service person is due to replace the display this Friday. I do not believe this will resolve the original issue.

Peter
Peter

Mine is doing exactly the same so must be a fault in the machines - can't get the machine to start at all - and only 2 weeks old

elly
elly

Finally a resolution. After replacing the pump, motherboard and front display on the machine it is now finally working. The service person could not diagnose the exact issue however he believes the front display was the source. If anything start by replacing the front display, then the motherboard.

How do I turn off all the noises/beeping on a SMS69T18AU?

John
John

Full details are on page 9 of the user manual but I found them to be confusing. For some reason they say push program button, and button A, C etc. When they don't actually have those listed on the panel.

A basic run down is, turn on the machine

Hold down the program button ( Eco Button ) and repeatedly press the start button at the same time until d:0 is shown on the display.

Let go of both buttons and press the eco button until the value 6:02 is shown on the display.

Now you can adjust the audio level by pushing the C button ( Pre Rinse )

It will cycle through the available volume levels. 6:00 is off.

To save hit the start button and close the door

I have phoned the Bosch call centre and was not satisfied with the help I received. I gave my email address to get installation specs emailed but received nothing. They also told me the legs were not adjustable like the built under one. They are just to balance the dishwasher . Which one is it? I actually wondered how much the people on the phone really knew. I did end up speaking to two departments. And I was told they can not give me specific advise. Can someone help me?

Can this dishwasher be built under? We need to get our cupboard cut out. However the bench is only 59cm deep rather than 60cm. I notice the top can come off, and as this overhangs the back reduces the depth to 57cm. However without the top the overall height is too low and leaves too much of a gap between the dishwasher and the bench.

Any suggestions?

Does it have adjustable legs like the built under ones? I prefer this model sue to the anti fingerprint technology.

Thanks

Can anyone advise on how to turn off or turn down the beeping that the BOSCH SMS69t18au has at the end of its cycle.

It is 3 long beeps followed by a short "double beep". It is very loud and enough to wake people up at 130 am when the cycle is finished?

Hi, AP47 is correct, you can turn off the end of cycle beeps as shown in the manual on page 20: I have included the actual button names rather than button A or C which the manual refers to... Hope it helps... My Wife & I can't rate this machine highly enough & we have owned several machines from various makers over the years.

The end of the programme is also

indicated by an acoustic signal. This

function can be changed as follows:

1. Open the door.

2. Switch on ON/OFF switch

3. Hold down programme button Eco 45

and press START button until

d:0.... is indicated on the digital

display.

4. Release both buttons.

5. Press programme button Eco 45 until

the factory set value b:02 is

indicated on the digital display

To change the setting:

1. Press programme button Pre Rinse. Each

time the button is pressed, the set

value increases by one level; when

the value of b:0 has been reached,

the beeps are off.

2. Press START button to save the new value of b:00
