sales assistant (an older female) made a beeline towards me. She asked if I needed help and I declined and said I was just browsing. She shadowed me around the store, always about 1-2m behind me. She asked if she could help again and I said no, I was just looking. Without skipping a beat she asked me what type of furniture I was looking for, lounge, dining... I said I didn't know, I was JUST LOOKING. I moved towards a couch and she told me it was an expensive couch.

Now I realise I was wearing pretty ordinary looking shorts and a t-shirt, but as I said I was out of area and wasn't planning a furniture shopping trip. I'd been at Bunnings and had been picking up some renovation odds and ends. I turned on my heel and began towards the door. I heard her say something like 'so you weren't really serious about buying furniture'. I almost went tear strips off her but figured she was not worth it and stalked out.

You lose Brescia, I bought all my furniture elsewhere and will never walk through your doors ever again.

Lounge 10 years old, still great! – I bought a lounge off Brescia in Ashfield in 2003, a Pamela suite for around $5,000. I looked around for a long time (about 30 retailers) to find a lounge suite that was comfortable, but not too that soft elderly visitors may struggle getting up from the lounge. The delivery was a couple weeks later than they quoted at the of purchase, I believe that was out of their control. The delivery to Queanbeyan (near Canberra) was very reasonable in cost, and the delivery men were very professional.

The lounge has stood the test of time well in my opinion, they advised I should condition the leather 2-4 times a year, however I have only done this this 2-4 times in a decade, and it still looks good. The seat is a just little discoloured, but I figure that's my fault. Also the mechanism in the recliner alway has been a little difficult to retract, test this and make sure you're comfortable with this before you buy.

I now have two sons, three and five years old, and they give the lounge hell. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase 10 years on. Good service and quality product

felt as if eyes were on us the entire time we were in the store, one older man in particular was a little rude towards us also. He was a taller gentleman and the way he spoke to some of the other staff was appalling so we didn't continue to look throughout the store. After viewing the website again we called the store they have in campbelltown from the moment we called we were greeted with a warm and friendly voice. The following week we made our way to the store in campbelltown. What a marvellous store it is. 3 levels with beautiful furniture and very friendly staff. We were served by a young gentleman who straight away hit it off with hubby as they both were able to laugh and joke around a little which was refreshing. not, but I still made it to go there, no doubt that they’ve got the right stuff that I like, n surprisingly in affordable prices. It didn’t take me too long to choose n confirm, I was so glad that I’ve eventually bought the furnitures from my favourite shop. I must also compliment the salesman for an excellent service and the delivery was quick and punctual. Stylish furniture with A Grade quality! – Unfortunately Brescia Furniture didn't have the shape of table I wanted however felt they deserved a 5 star review for trying so hard to help me out, (special mention to Tony & Malcolm) making me feel comfortable, really listening to my needs and returning my calls so incredibly quickly. I never meet a sales person who very rude in my whole life, perhaps it because my ordinary looking outfit.. seems they judge you from the cover.

So if you really want to check this store, better choose your outfit carefully.... and don’t bring kids.

Love the cherrywood dining table but not other pieces – I bought a lot of furniture from Brescia 15 years ago when I moved house. The cream leather lounge is still good but the seat where I used a lot is sagging as expected. The bedroom suite is not good as the bed frame was broken in one place a few years ago and the top of the dressing table is peeling. Only the extendable cherrywood dining table is still looking good. The dining chairs are good but will need to be cleaned or reupholstered.

Brescia Furniture Sub-Standard – In a set of 9 chairs after less than 5 years of normal use and good maintenance the leather on all chairs is cracked and peeling, with all seams cracking. They went the extra mile – So many disappointments with tradesmen recently but Brescia really made my day! They have been wonderful. men were also fabulous, they were on time with delivery the 2nd day after purchase, nothing was too much trouble, they smiled and joked while moving the lounges into place for me, taking all the packing away. Not very often you get such good service these days.

Dining chairs leather peeling – Our dining chairs we brought them from Breascia furnitures after 5 year the leather chair cracked some corners and stitched lines around the chairs split. I called them and Breascia costumer service said that they can repair but I have to pay. Bad service and don't care the customers.

Non supportive rude abuse salesman – Just had one of the worst experience of shopping. We went to buy a sofa. Asked a question about warranty and quality. compared different ones happily. We ended up buying our sofa in BLR within 20 minutes and was impressive by the huge difference in treating customers. Hope the Brescia quality is not as bad as their sales quality. Peace.

6 'leather' dining chairs bought 3 years ago - every single one is now peeling!! – Very poor, substandard leather quality with Brecia's furniture. I bought 6 'leather' dining chairs 3 years ago and now all are peeling. Even the one that was the replacement in first year. These chairs definitely don't worth $180 each! we ended up buying 2 new electric reclining chairs. 1 single and 1 double couch in beige.

the moving team was happy enough to remove our old couch from our home and help move some other heavy stuff around.

the leather care kit was simple and easy enough to follow but the only thing i didn't quiet like was the smell. other than that we had a wonderful experience with this brand.

and after having them for a few months now I'm very impressed

Best Lounge I have ever owned – The lounge is amazing. They say service is dead in this country but not at the Brescia store I was in. We had real trouble deciding on the colour, the staff were totally flexible and looked after our every need. I have already sent my parents to upgrade their lounge. My wife loves it. and sold to me as geniune leather. The receipt also reflects this. 9 years down the track with normal wear and tear, the leather is peeling on every one of them. I'm literally having to sweep the floor beneath every few days due to the leather flaking on it's own. How can they put there name behind this product ? Were they worth the $420 each I paid at the time ? Are you kidding me....Absolutely NOT. Will I shop there again ? NEVER. Let this being a warning to others.
