Great Coffee. How long should a Coffee Maker Last? – This machine is nearly 2 years old. I purchased the BES900 in Dec 2013. finished. Sure enough it needs a repair. The authorised repairer has now been waiting on a part from Breville for over 1 month. Still currently waiting. Do not buy a coffee machine with a 1 year warranty.

it does make great coffee and i was unwilling to be without it during the repair period.

Time has come to get it fixed before warranty expires.

Phoned up Breville Customer Service today 10/02/2014.

Problem 1 : Informed that had to pack and send to Botany as there is no Service agent in Wollongong . Wollongong is the 3rd biggest city in NSW .

Problem 2. They arrange for a courier to pick up. Courier can only pick up 9 to 5 Mon- Fri which coincidently is the same hours i work and also half the workforce in Australia. Also cant give a time so virtually have to take a day off work to allow them to pick up their faulty product.

Problem 3. Customer Service laughed at my suggestion/ plea that David Jones should replace.

Problem 4. This is the test :) How long will the repair take and what will be the quality of the repair. Watch this space!. I will be updating good or bad on this site . Will adjust my rating accordingly ! Great coffee Problems with electronic settings eg Err1 mesaage . a known problem with these machines. No local Service repair. Unwilling to send replacement machine .
