Had this microwave for 8 years!!! – We bought this model microwave 8 years ago. It’s been moved at least 5 times with house moves and live most of its life in the hot tropics of Australia. It has never missed a beat. Best microwave we’ve (family of 4, daily use of at least 5 times a day) ever had!!! It died last night. Made a pop noise and then just doesn’t heat anymore. Worst defective product ever – Bought a complete set of white Breville products for a house. This was including the microwave within 12 months paint interior was peeling and on the door, it's Rusty and vibrates loudly. expensive that just boils continuously. I recommend everybody stay away from Breville products. This complete set was very expensive and would never ever buy another Breville product. The customer service is terrible for an Australian company.

Breville leading the way – The designers and engineers are doing a great job at Breville. inside the door hides more functions.
The cooking temperature can actually be adjusted during cooking rather than stopping and re-setting.
It melts chocolate and butter to perfection, heats baked beans without the mess of exploded beans and sauce inside the unit.
Has a kitchen timer and adjustable beep volume for those who are driven mad by the end of cooking tone.
The BM063 has many more features is easy to use, comes in several colours and is a huge improvement on the previous model including many other microwave ovens on the market. Easy to use and to adjust settings whilst cooking, not having to stop the cooking process

Breville product which is cheaper to buy anyway. Put up with it for the look which matched kitchen well.
Rotating glass plate scraped floor of microwave after 3-4 months, I padded that so it sat up higher and avoided scraping.
Microwave died completely last September, started firstly not cooking at max power then just died, it still looks beautiful, like a Miele really, sitting in my shed waiting for next tip trip.
Funny thing I love the look so much I'd buy the same product again, checked it out but they only seem to make the stainless steel version now...BMO735.
Pulled out my 1987 Panasonic genius again. Ugly as bat... but gee it still works well, including very original light bulb. Don't make 'em like they used to!
Not what I wanted – I have owned this microwave for a while now and it's not really the best one I have ever owned. I find that when cooking it tends to over heat everything yet some how the center is still cold. Over all the cooking quality is just average. As for the operation of it... Terrible microwave, stay away! – I purchased the BM0634 microwave from Myer 12months and one week as it started to show signs of malfunction. The unit still worked but would stop midway through a cooking cycle and shut down. I reduced my cooking to warming cereal in the morning as 1min was all it could handle. as the warranty had expired. We kept using the unit in a reduced capacity until today when it blew the fuss and stopped for good.
I decided to ring Breville customer care (by this stage the unit is 18months old) and tried through them to get some resolution. I was told that Myer do not issue the warranty but Breville and that it was over 12months. The customer care service person accused me of lying and could not have been anymore rude.
Terrible experience and because of that I will not purchase another Breville product in the future.

Meh – It was an okay size. It worked fine but did not last very long. My last microwave cost me $30 from kmart and lasted me five years. This one only lasted just over one year. Disappointing considering I spent the extra cash to get a fancier one. A lesson learned. Show details
Waste of money – I also have one of these, only bought it because it was red. It heats food fine but it will wake the neighbors....... padding around the sides to dampen the vibrations, but it didn't make much difference. I also had the oft-cited problem of the timer dial jumping directly from 2 minutes to over 20 with just a gentle twist. But the last straw was the inside lining starting to rust off in chunks - never seen that before in a microwave. This is only my third one since they first appeared, but it hasn't lasted a quarter of the time of its (much cheaper) predecessors. As far as I can tell, it has heated things up OK, but I'm not what you'd call a demanding user - most of the buttons remain untouched on mine. Unfortunately, I can't find my receipt, so I'll just have to write it off as a loss and steer clear of these ones in future.
Kaput just after warranty expired – This seems to be a common theme with this microwave. It sounded like an aeroplane to begin with, then about a week after the 12 month warranty expired, it got quieter and quieter and then stopped working. I honestly do not expect to buy a microwave every year. The last, a Panasonic lasted for 7. Not good enough Breville. Show details

Unreliable and not worth the money – This microwave looks great, was simple to use and I liked it but unfortunately it stopped heating when it was just over a year old and out of warranty. It's not worth the money for a years use and our next microwave will hopefully be a more reliable brand than Breville. Show details

microwave habits so cannot blame lack of cleaning or maintenance. I found the Breville Customer Care line to be most unhelpful. They did not have this model on their system as discontinue - so knew nothing. The operator said they were unable to offer any technical advice as to why this has occurred / is it safe to use with the metal exposed/ could I buy cavity paint. He could only direct me to a Breville repairer 1000km away (none in my Regional city). I phoned the repairer, as suggested , who was astounded that the internal paint had blistered in only 2 years. The repairer said this was something he had occasionally seen, but only in microwaves about 10 years old. Unfortunately he did not sell a safe internal paint. At least I now know not to buy another Breville product in this regional city..
The worst quality – The quality is really bad! When I bought it 2 years ago, it was the most expensive one among other brands, the sales told me it's the best one! But it's really not as what you would expected, it doesn't work suddenly without any clue! I would not purchase any stuff in this brand any more!

holiday to our home country. I left the microwave in the storage place in the original package. We came back in May 2015 and then was when I started to use the microwave for the first time in May 15. From the beginning never work really well. Never heated thing properly but yesterday stopped working suddendly at all . Does not heat or do anything at all. I cannot believe this after the breville disclaimer saying that their products are top quality. Im very very disappointed and i will advise everyone I know to never buy brevilles products and I will never buy you products again. What a shame

intermittently beep for no reason.
We called Breville, and was told it was a faulty unit and to return it to the purchase store.
We handed that one in and got another one. Took it home, hooked it up and the same thing with the child lock....beeps start again!!! We were told by Breville the first time it was a very rare fault.
So once again, called Breville and told them about the same problem with the replacement unit. Was told to return and get a replacement again! By this point I am getting annoyed, and asked what Breville was willing to do for me as I have spent both time and fuel stuffing around because of their faulty product. My reply was basically suck it up and get another one, or go buy another brand microwave.
Needless to say we are completely disappointed with this company.
Should I try a third? – Needed the Cranberry colour to match our other appliance's. First one made operating noise that could be heard outside the house, plus bad vibration. Replaced, now one cannot get accurate time adjustment. Example 5:10, jumps to 5:30 every time. Also sometime jumps to 8-9 minutes for no reason.

Loud and takes 10 minutes to microwave popcorn on highest setting! – Wish I had chosen another microwave, it is very slow and loud. From reading the other reviews I am now scared it won't last either. Would have been better off buying something cheaper but stupidly thought by paying more the quality would be better. I am wrong. The popcorn ends up half burnt and half unpopped. Only three months old, would trade for another model if I could.

What a waste of money – I bought this microwave and paid $330. yes that was 18 months ago but it has now stopped working. It will not heat. Very disappointed. Would have expected a lot longer use from it. Looks great..........

By Far The Best Microwave Available – I have used quite a few different brand microwaves over the years and this is by far the best quality so far. The microwave looks very high end and goes well in a modern kitchen. All the new features really do make life much easier in the kitchen for anyone wanting to save time. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a new microwave. You will not regret spending the extra money.
Great microwave but noticed the steam won't escape and now I have rust inside – I've just found out today, after 1 month and 11 days old, that I have rust inside the microwave. Noticed that when I use the microwave, inside the top part is all wet and water dropping down, this means the steam cannot escape and accumulates, should it have good ventilation? The unit is on the bench with nothing around or on top off it. Very disappointing as I do not wish water with rust to drop down on my food....
Amazing. Brilliant microwave – Quite simply, a brilliant microwave. Firstly, it looks great. Second, it has so many functions and setting to properly nuke anything you need. The pre-programmed buttons inside the door are so clever. LCD display is great. I did wish it went to sleep straight away rather than waiting 5 minutes after use and then beeping.
Worth every penny! – I love this microwave! Since bringing it home yesterday, I found it easy to set up and works like a charm. Heats evenly, is quiet and looks great on my bench. No problems with noise or hot panels at all. Breville has a winner here.

offers a Quick Cook, Quick Reheat and Quick Defrost button that you can select. Inside the door there is another panel of buttons called the Sensor IQ. You have Sensor IQ Cook, Reheat and Defrost and these buttons automatically measure the humidity released from the food to determine the correct cooking time. It starts cooking/reheating or defrosting the food at the correct temperature and then around 45-30 seconds the time left will come on to let you know that your food is almost ready.
The LCD panel is easy to read and the Microwave is always ready to go for 30 seconds; all you need to do is add your food, close the door and push start. Push it again to add another 30 seconds. Have not used the microwave oven for defrosting, as yet. However, I can not fault the reheating function.

unit. While the Breville is marginally noisier than our previous microwave (LG), it doesn't intrude at all even though our living area adjoins the kitchen. We haven't experienced any overheating so far, but we don't cook whole dinners in our microwave ovens. It usually gets short bursts of a few minutes. So far I think we haven't run this unit for more than 20 minutes continuously.
Since I purchased at half price, I didn't bother extending the warranty. We'll give it a good workout over the 12 months 'replacement' warranty period. Solid construction and well finished, great appearance and functionality, 'replacement' warranty rather than 'repair' warranty (as for most brands). Nothing so far.
Impressive features but issues with reliability – Great features, and intuitive interface. Especially like the favourite & programmable short cut buttons. However the unit failed to heat anything after it was around 30 days old. The turntable spins but the magnetron appears to have failed. If purchasing this unit I would recommend getting an extended warranty to be safe. Design, user interface. Realibity

gets a massive amount of use. It's teenage and husband proof. I haven't set favourites yet as everything we do is easy to do. The size. Fits all my big containers. Large family mean cooking large meals. Can not read the clock. Why have one if you can only see it for a few minutes after use.

and turned it on........Oh my gosh! The noise was soo loud!! It did not sound like the one in store at all! We decided something was wrong and took it back the next day. We exchanged for another new one, no problem! We got the new one home and guess what, it had the same sound. This was just the start, not only did it have this loud noisy humming sound that is almost unbearable we noticed that it got really really hot on the top right side.
So hot that it would burn your hand if you were to keep it on there! So... We contacted breville and they agree that it gets hot but this is normal for this model?! I'm not sure how they think it's o.K for an electrical appliance to get soo hot? Surely this is a safety concern? However we kept it for a week until it decided to over heat soo much that it powered itself completely off! I have contacted breville on 3 separate occasions and they still assure me that the hot surface on top is normal? Finally, the turntable stopped working, all of this within 2 weeks. I really really wanted to like this microwave however, i couldn't live with an appliance that cooked itself! So we regretfully returned the microwave and chose another brand to my dislike.
