poorly designed – I don't know why the sea keeps getting good reviews. it's difficult to adjust. when the child falls asleep there's not enough support to stop the child's head from falling forward and flopping around loosely. I find this seat frustrating and difficult to adjust and would not recommend this seat.

Excellent – My husband and I decided on a convertible seat rather than buying a baby capsule and then a seat later. We've been very happy with the seat...we actually bought 2 of them...one for each car. The only problem is that it takes up quite a bit of space when in the rearward facing position. We have a Subaru which is smaller so only a super small person… Read more

can sit in the front passenger position whilst the car seat is in place. Our other car is a much larger Ford station wagon but we still have a problem with fitting an adult in the front passenger seat whilst still allowing for the safe distance of the back of the passenger seat from the baby seat. I'm pregnant with our second child and we will probably purchase another of these seats as the safety aspect far outweighs the inconvenience of space. It's just lucky that our first born will be able to have his seat turned front facing by the time the second baby arrives otherwise we'd be up for a new car. Don't have to purchase a separate baby capsule as it can be used from birth. Soft and comfy for our baby and has an excellent safety rating. Does take up a lot of space when rearward facing.

Good – We got recommended the Safe-n-sound brand of car seat for their safety ratings. We like this car seat and has been easy to use. Essentially we have had no problems/issues with it. It has no sunshade but if it is rear facing you can hang muslin/cloth over the seatbelts holding it in to make a suncover easy enough. Would recommend. Baby falls asleep… Read more

in it everytime! :) It's comfortable and looks nice and cozy for our babe. Easy to take babe in and out of, goes from Newborn - 3yrs.

Seat belt is easy to use, has a pull lever to release and you pull on the belt to tighten. Good warranty. Also Safe-n-sound have a policy to replace/check seats if you are in an accident for free. Has side crash protection as well as all the standard safety stuff. It does take up a lot of room when rear-ward facing. We have a moderate sized car and have to put the seat forward quite far for it to fit in the back properly (on passenger side of car). We couldn't fit it into the middle seat for this reason (pushes the drivers seat too far forward for us).

Also I found that the seat belt, although easy enough to use, you do have to pull quite hard to get the seat belt tight enough as it is 'stiff' (when our baby started putting more weight on this became less of an issue).

Bad – i used to really like this car seat until one day I had to move it from one car to another and I noticed that the retractor belt was badly frayed. this caused concern because in an accident i wasn't sure if the belt would do its job anymore. i called the company and the representative for NSW said it was probably caused by mice in my car. he said… Read more

to send it back to him through the retailer i purchased it through and he would fix it. it came back to me weeks later and just the belt had been replaced not the buckle that was causing the problem in the first place. older styles of this car seat have a larger buckle and so don't have this problem but most of the new safe and sound range does. it has a removable cover which is essential when dealing with children in cars and the frame is solid. it is one of the easiest car seats to use and install. there is a major safety problem with the retractable seat belt, in which one of the buckles continually rubs on the seat belt fraying it more and more every time you tighten the seat belt.

Great car seat – We bought 2 of these car seat and have had both of them for 4 years, we have used them for both of our kids and not problems. Great and easy to use and dont take up to much room on the back seat. we have washed the covers several times and always wash up like new. Over all a great seat. Not taking up to much room.

Great seat – Love this car seat. Fits into our little fiesta. Has a rear facing weight limit of 12kg unlike a lot of the other seats out there which is great as my little one is almost 9kgs. Love that it has the cushion insert and 8 months on she still has huge sleeps in it. So easy to install and simple to change the shoulder straps too. Loved the price also :) Small, extended rear facing

Durable Product – This Car Seat was given to me by MIL second hand. It is very durable and has been used by 3 children. It is still going strong (has never been in a car accident). The material is suitable as it does not bring up stains easily. Certainly enough padding for a comfy baby. 0-18 kgs (approx 4 years old) depending on how quickly ur bub is going. Unsure… Read more

OK – We are happy with this car seat but would spend the extra money to buy the automatic retractor next time, I get sick of fighting with it. Would also buy something with a higher back. Terrible – I bought this car seat three years ago and have since destroyed it! We had a car accident about a year ago we were doing 30kms when we hit another car the force was enough to make the car seat unbuckle and send my son flying into the back seat. Called company and all they did was say that I did not buckle him in properly. This is my biggest fear… Read more

in having my child in a car and from birth have always checked he seat is buckled properly throughout our drives so i know this was the fault of safe-n-sound, Very disappointed as apparently this is the best car seat on the market then and unfortunately still is which leaves me searching high and low for a better seat for my new baby Nothing now Safety

OK – This seat is nice and more up market that some of the SNS branded seats. They do need to look at how it installs in a range of cars. Back is short. EPS SIP foam layer inside head area. Did not fit well in cars without restraint locking seat belts (fully extend then release/lock mode) too much side to side movement. Only installed well in the middle.

Good safe seat – I bought this seat when my bub outgrew his capsule and I wanted to keep him rear facing as long as possible. It's been a great seat, he been in it since 5 months and he's now 20 months. He's a very tall boy tho so I am going to need to upgrade his seat again soon sadly. But the seat looks very comfy, he sleeps well in it. The seat is easy to wash.… Read more

I wouldn't say the fabric looks brand new anymore after regular washing but its still ok. I trust the safe n sound brand and its been great for my baby, just wish it was taller so he could stay in longer!! Color, cushioning, safety Fabric is a bit pilly after regular washing, not tall enough for tall babies (tall toddlers quickly outgrow)

Extremely Comfortable at all stages. Both of my kids love it! – If we didn't have the second child my 1st would have been in it until she reached her 4th birthday (or the max. weight limit). Since it reclines the kids are able to have their daytime sleeps in it without their heads bobbing around all over the place. what a god send especially for our fortnightly trips to Sydney from the central coast. to clean and wide enough for chubbier babies. With the extra padding its just as ideal for the petite ones as well. Plus the brand name says it all. Worth every cent spent. Was so happy with this one that I bought the maxi rider for my 4 year old. This chair is so comfortable that even my 2nd child who hated travelling in the car for the first 4 months (in a hired capsule) become settled in this seat. Highly recommended. Value for money! comfortable. safe. easy the install. easy to clean. a smart purchase. dont waste your money on the bells and whistles.

A great seat! It looks so comfy I want one! – I love this seat! Its looks so comfy and with my bubba fast approaching 9kg I am glad it rear faces to 12kg unlike a lot of cheaper seats which only rear face until 9kg. It was easy to instal and adjust and the instruction manual was easy to read and helpful. It was easy to install, easy to use and adjust. More expensive than other brands but well worth the money

Excellent – My husband and I looked at quite a few car seats and decided that this one was best in terms of safety, size and price. We have a Toyota 4Runner which doesn't have a very large backseat - when in the rear facing position the front seat has to be all the way forward for the car seat to fit in the back. We like that the baby can be in the rear… Read more

facing position to 12 kg as we think this is safer than turning them around earlier. I would recommend this to any family - the lack of space in the front seat is a small price to pay for safety of your child. Both rear and front facing, reasonably priced, soft and comfortable, Next time we would probably opt for the automatic seatbelt retractor as the manual one gets a little annoying to use when you're in a hurry.

Excellent – This is a good quality child car seat that can be used from a newborn up. It fits easily in a sedan and was even used in our small hatchback previously with no problems. Good – We bought a Safe & Sound car seat as it has good safety record. The seat looks very sturdy. Yet, comfortable for baby. The khaki coloured seat we bought blends well with our car seat as well. - nice design - very comfortable - secure, firm & sturdy - easy to install - reasonably priced - manual retractor

Great carseat, good price – A great carseat that's easy to install and clean. After reviewing on this website for carseats we brought the Safe-n-Sound Premier when it was on sale. Good quality carseat! – This carseat comes with a super comfortable padding insert for newborns but they will grow out of the baby insert very quickly. Excellent car seat, a must for any new parent – This car seat is awesome, it has a liner for wher bub is new born so it keeps them nice and snug, can take it out for easy cleaning. My fave feature is the recline when bub turns to forward facing. Makes sleeping in the care more comfy for when they are forward facing. I have had no issues and two of my bubs have used it. Great price, and great materials still looks brand new after 3 years.

Good – A moderately priced choice for a Safe n Sound car seat, with their quality design, fabrics etc. Probably best to make sure that this fits in your car before buying because it's a little bit wide and it's long rearward facing. facing which means you can keep baby facing backwards for longer. Quite wide, which means it's not great if you want to have others sitting next to it or seats next to it. It's middle of the range in price for a Safe n Sound seat, but still quite expensive compared to other brands. When rearward facing for babies it takes up a fair bit of room, so not great for small cars or behind the driver's seat.

Good – Overall, this is a well-priced seat from a reputable company. It has ample safety features and is very comfortable for the child. I would recommend this seat to other parents. without a fuss. My daughter always looks extremely comfortable sitting in this seat (forward facing). Even when it is forward facing, the angle is still quit reclined, so children can really lay back and relax. It's a pretty big seat and we were warned by the shop staff when we selected it that it may not fit in our car. We drive a 2001 Toyota Corolla and it fits in the back fine, although you might not want to put it behind the driver's seat, as you won't be able to put it back as far if the driver has long legs.

Great mid range convertible car seat for 0-4 yo – Bought both the Premier and the Premier retractor model as we needed one for each car and the shop did not have two of the Premiers. Perfect carseat! – Because there's just so many to choose from, it's hard to know what works well and what you should avoid, but this seat is fantastic. Excellent – We chose this car seat because it has been well known for being safe and reliable for years. It has been lovely to use and our son has always loved riding in it. happy with it. Very comfy and cosy right from newborn use, lovely soft material, easy to strap baby in, has excellent safety rating, great warranty from Safe-n-Sound. You can use it from newborn up to 18kgs so no need to buy a baby capsule. We barely fit it in the rearward position in our Hyundai Excel - it is very long. When put in the front facing position, it seemed to need a lot of padding underneath to stop it from sliding from side to side when placed in the centre seat. It was a bit of a pain to have to loosen the main strap every time you got bub out in the rearward position.

Great quality, comfy carseat – Our very large baby quickly outgrew the Safe and Sound capsule we hired for him. We needed to find something that would suit him length and width wise as he is going to be a big kid, but would also fit in our pretty compact Hyundai i30 hatch. Good – Safe n Sound is a brand we trust and this seat appears to be really good quality. It seems to have as good a safety rating as the Meridian but is much cheaper! seat is really well padded and our baby falls asleep in it all the time, so it must be comfortable! Easy to adjusy the length of the safety straps. It will secure our baby from newborn up to 18kg so we haven't had to spend extra on a capsule. In the reverse facing position it takes up a lot of room so that the seat in front is rather upright. But I guess we could overcome this by putting it on the middle seat.
