I am being given Brother Sewing machine serial number XL-2230 but it hasn't got a plug or a foot pedal. Can I get these to fit this machine, and what would be the cost please?. Many many thanks Caroline

I found this foot pedal on Ebay. Please check that the fittings are the same as yours. There are plenty on Ebay. If you're not sure contact the seller. Good luck! external link

Does this machine have a bobbin holder?

The bobbin winder has stopped working. The motor turns, but the bobbin spool does not. And it squeals. What is causing this?

The bobbin winder works by a little rubber gasket. They're very cheap to buy and you can replace it yourself. It wears out because it works by teeth turning the gasket. You just have to take the machine apart and you'll see it.

I have “inherited” a Baby Lock Esante ESI embroidery machine. Everything works great except it came without embroidery hoops (apparently misplaced/lost without a trace); I have tried dealers, Internet and everywhere else I could think of (even Kijiji under “wanted” ) without success. I was told that only hoops specific to that model (ESI) will fit/work as the manufacturer changed something with the next model so not just any Esante will fit...

Would anyone out there know of if/how I might be able to lay my hands on the hops for this model? Without them it’s only a regular sewing machine; a good one but not fully utilized...

Hi, my name is Sylvia. I have had great luck with my Brother XL-2230. Only a piece of thread out of place now and then, otherwise it's worked great. I do have a manual and I will be more than glad to copy it for you and mail it to you. I don't need any payment. What is this world if one cannot help another without compensation?
