When we purchased plane tickets for a family of 6 to new Zealand we got an error message that our payment didn't go thru and we would get an email with further instructions. No email, we called and called waited on hold for 1 hour then went to a voicemail that said it wouldn't be checked. Our mistake was trying again the next day and bought tickets. Then we get two reservations for the same 6 people on the same flight!!! Of course we call and call again with no luck! We finally figure out how to call the emergency number in the Netherlands wher...e they tell us they will issue us a refund. Nothing, we call again 2 weeks later, "oh its still being processed" Nothing. We call again 2 weeks later they tell us they never charged us. we send them proof that they did, next time we call different story. We are so sad that our hard earned money went to waste and what an unethical company this is. Never tried to make it right. So we ended up losing $2000 American dollars! please book with the airline directly or a more trusted source.

Deceptive service offering
I made 2 bookings (minutes apart) on their website. On the first booking, I selected the Premium Select Service Package as an added extra as it was showing that I will get a AU$ 10.00 on my next booking. However when I made my second booking, nowhere in the booking process was it giving me the opportunity to claim the discount. I continued on and completed the second booking then immediately contacted their customer service via email only to be told that they cannot do anything as the booking was already completed. A very deceptive way to get money out of their customers.
Booked tickets on this platform as they advertised they had good reviews, I should of looked elsewhere. Half an hour after I booked I got an email saying the tickets for cancelled and 10 days for a refund. 2.5k is not something I take lightly.

I booked the ticket for November 06 from syd to ktm. With some reasons i tried to change flight date of my ticket for that i spoke to customer service and they suggested me date with the change price .. I was not happy with the price so i didn’t proceed for change. But on the 06 nov, my flight date. I found at the airport that my ticket has not been processed and i couldn’t fly. When i spoke to the support they told me i didn’t respond to them and they can...celled my ticket. So i had to buy new ticket as i need to fly. When i tried to contact again with budget air they delayed on the response and didn’t refund me $1 also. I found they are fraud and their customer support are worst. I suggest all not to purchase any ticket from budget air.

Had to cancel a flight due to personal issue and dealing with these people has been an absolute nightmare.
Scamming rip-off joke of a company, making it up as they go along. Every email I send is replied to by a different customer service person, every emily reply is a generic cut and paste which doesn't answer the questions I was asking. Asked to escalate to a manager to someone who may actually be able to help me then complete silence, multiple emails trying to get proper answers and nothing.
Anyone reading this review and thinking of using this company, DONT DO IT to yourselves.

It was urgent due to medical reasons and i was contacting them for hours.
They mention AWST 9-6 they are available. However, they were not taking any calls before 10 .misleading info on website
Finally after 4 calls they took my call from waiting 30 mins wait each call)
Their poor customer care ..Someone named -priya ..Directly said if payment declined then we have not received your payment and I cannot do anything.
They dont understand meaning of " medical reason"
After my push she agreed to look into my case for that also she again needs 24 hours to verify 1 transaction....

Hi, I had contacted customer service due to change of my originally booked flight. The budget air customer service members namely Abby was so rude and hang the phone on to me. Shame on you..!!

They are so fast at taking your payment, after payment is taken your flight gets cancelled or rejected. They dont refund you straight away and leave you out of pocket. If you dont have more money to buy elsewhere, you will not be travelling. They are the hardest company to contact, and dont speak English properly. Worst experience Ive ever had by far. STAY AWAY!

TERRIBLE SERVICE! My daughter's second middle name dropped off on the booking and when I called to ask them to fix this the folllwing day they told me I had to email. So I emailed amd got a response that it was being forwarded to thw appropriate department. Hadnt heard anything back for 4 days and no one over the phone could help me. Ended up having to change it directly with Virgin Australia (they would only take over the booking if it was less then 24 hrs before flight). Had to pay a name change fee which they said would of been free if it had been within 24hrs of the booking made(which was when I called Budget Air)
Will onky go directly through the airline's now as this 3rd party site are incompetent and speak minimal English.

I am disgusted by the service I received on Saturday by one of your call centre agents.
I rang to find out how far my refund was from being paid out to me, the call centre agent took had me on hold for 27 minutes before telling me that the refund would take another two weeks, I was extremely upset by that as the email I received 4 weeks ago said it would take up to four weeks.
I then told him that it was not good enough and I wanted to speak to his manager, he then put me on to a supervisor who told me that there were no managers a...nd that he could arrange for the refund to take place in 5 days, which I was not happy about either as I was told four weeks, which I wanted for. It took approximately 10 minutes for your company to get my money when I booked, so why is it taking this long to get my own money back? You already penalised me by charging a cancellation fee, why take this extra time be treated as a problem child by making me wait 27 minutes on the phone only to be told it will take a further 2 weeks. I made a formal complaint via there website and sent a copy to the customer service email address and only received an acknowledgment of my complaint last night. This is unacceptable.
Cheap and efficient booking with no dramas
Honestly, most questions or concerns I had based on negative reviews were easily answered within the FAQ. Always make sure you read the fine print and understand conditions, such as 'non refundable'.
Although there's some booking and payment-type associated fees, overall our flight tickets, Melbourne to Narita with JAL, were significantly cheaper than other options (or booking direct with the airline). Booking was confirmed and tickets came within a few minutes. Easy to book and nice booking summary interface.
Although I was initially doubtful with a lot of the negative reviews and "always book direct" mentality, I do not regret it one bit.
Misleading service, stay away from this service.
I have typed 2 different names (first and middle) on my e-ticket.
The second one was changed to another different name after I have paid the ticket.
Now they want a fee to change the second name - poor service!
Booked the tickets and after 2 to 3 hrs the tickets were cancelled without any notification. Now the refund will be credited in 5 working days and in the mean time cant even book the ticket so might end up paying higher price for new tickets.

System changes your name and luggage allowance, initial quote excludes Visa Debit Charges, Customer Care staff rude!!!
Your e-ticket will not be the same as the details on the quote and even if you have screenshots to proof what was on the quote, they will insist you made the mistakes!!! There initial price quoted excludes a Vida Debit transaction fee, that brings the new total price to close to their competitors. Do not trust them. You will pay for their mistakes and are they allowed to charge you for paying with a Visa Debit Card. In S A it is illegal.....

We are in a dilemma. My husband and I booked our trip via Budget Air ( in March) from Calgary Canada to Lima ,Peru. Budget Air messed up our departure ( after being unable to check in on line) and rerouted us from Toronto to lima(2000 miles from Calgary). We called Budget Air however they kept us on hold for over an hour at a time after three consecutive calls. We were fortunate to get to Peru only by Westjet agents fixing our tickets. our return flights are questionable We are uncertain how to handle this further since Budget Air has not responded to several emails and calls. Our return flight is August 2nd .. However Westjet agents are uncertain if this is accurate. Traveling in Peru means our phone privileges are slim. We may ask a family member from home to Jeep calling. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
