Received email from QBE if you select us for ctp you will receive $50 voucher .That was a month ago ,still waiting, Insured with them for 12 months ,would like to know if i can change
I feel disgusted just spent 30mins on phone trying to get car insurance only to get told they can not insure me as I have a criminal conviction.
Yes I made an error in judgment and have paid the price.
They didn't ask what I had done just we can't insure you!!

Outrageous price increases. No customer loyalty.
Our issue is with excessive price increases for premiums, 35.3% over 4.5 years against no accidents or insurance claims, and a change in our terms without our informed consent. It appears QBE follows a business model that on balance of probability most people will not change providers once they have a relationship with QBE.
New to the country in early 2016 we used iSelect (was that our first mistake?) which directed us to QBE as the least expensive option. A 2006 Toyota Prius (comprehensive, $600 excess & FMW) cost $50.88 ($610.56/year). The a...nnual and monthly payments were the same. The premiums then crept up, year over year, without us paying attention. In June 2020 while changing addresses, I had a closer look at the policy to discover that the excess had been changed without my knowledge to $900 and the premium was $63.47 ($761.60/year). When I then enquired with QBE the excess was reset to $600 but the premium was raised to $68.84 ($826.08)! So much for loyalty.

I was not the policy holder but a third party who's vehicle was damaged by their client.
Their client admitted liability and put in a claim but they ignored my letters of demand.
I had to threaten to take out a court order against their client to get acknowledgement from them.
If i do go through that process it would be their poor client fronting up to court.
This has not been settled to this date and have to may take out a court order.

I have made many request,s for my CTP to be sent out early i made 3 phone calls still waiting.... last e.mail QBE sent was CTP will be sent in 3 to 7 days to day is 8th day zero nothing . I made a complaint to them , they sent mail back saying they did not have enough Information to look into my complaint i send the reg number of my motor bike . i will say the staff are nice to talk to but i like to get a result .
Kindness? What's that? These days it's all money and political correctness. QBE have impressed me yet again. Not only have they given me a discount on my insurance, they have given their customers access to to have free counselling sessions with a company by the name of a Assure if they are in need during this Covid debacle. I don't care if there is some sort of agenda, I still think it's a wonderful thing to do. Ten gold stars to QBE
Waiting for Refund unlawful transactions.
Waiting for refund after unauthorized transactions on my account, by this insurance company. Just giving me the run around trying not to pay me MY MONEY. In my opinion steer clear of this company. Dishonest transactions by qbe. Disgusting service, actually lack of service.
Very pricey, nearly double of the other insurances.Sustomer service is not friendly.
I just applied for a green slip over the phone, customer service were not really friendly.
Ripped me off with the quote, I have noticed after I already purchased it.

Third party insurance is supposed to be for injury to anyone other than driver of vehicle causing accident.
That means driver of the other vehicle should be covered if its at fault accident.
QBE declined my fathers Claim saying his passenger did not get hurt hence his injury is not a direct result of the accident.
So it seems like if there is an accident and if one person dies in that accident and rest are alive than QBE will say that no the fatality was not a result of the MVA.
I think there should be a governing body over the isurance compa...nies as it seems there is alot of claims which are genuine and valid but refused by the insurance people without looking at letters from specialist saying clearly that the injury was the result of the accident. Please get another insurance but not QBE.
Had a positive claims experience
I had to make an at fault claim in March this year. I reversed into the front of another car at the school car park. I rang QBE who answered promptly and they took my account verbally including the details of the car and owner I had hit. They then emailed me a repairer details of a local company to evaluate my damage which I took my car to. I delayed my own repair due to Covid 19 situation. Company was understanding and the QBE manager who had been emailing me emailed a number of times to see if my repair had been completed yet and if I was sat...isfied. There was no pressure. When I finally dropped it in the repair was done in 2 days and the repair was satisfactory and the service excellent. Admittedly it was only rear bumper replacement and a small repair on mine though more costly on the small damage to the car I bumped due to it being an Audi. They allowed the person I hit to obtain their own quote with the repairer of their choice and they were happy too. I'd insured with QBE for the past 2 years due to someone running into my car about 3 years ago. He was insured with QBE and I found them very easy to deal with and prompt and able to choose my own repairer even though not insured with them. I changed insurers to QBE based on my experience. Admittedly I was a good insurance prospect as I had a 5 year no claim rating. The price was reasonable too and I think I originally bought it online. I'm in Southern Sydney and happy with QBE and the insurer. As the first at fault claim I've ever made I have to say it was excellent service.
Got this pathetic insurance for our new car. Someone hit the rear door while reversing like an idiot. We put the claim through. They said we were not at fault and we starting the repair. Half way through the repair they changed it and said we are at fault and now we have to pay the excess. Bloody frauds. DO NOT GO WITH THEM.
QBE CTP really the worst provider
I was involved in a high speed rear-end accident. The car I was driving was totaled,
(beyond repairs), I was seriously injured. The other car has QBE CTP insurance.
QBE did minimum treatment and ruled my injuries as 'degenerative
due to old age',
I have to engage neurologist at own expense to fight the case because QBE
ruled my case as minor injury. I am still fighting the case.
QBE call centre does not know the claim number that QBE has assigned. It is
the worst insurance company in town. Avoid it at all costs.
What customer Sevice?
Tried to do a CTP and switch companies and was easy for them to deduct cash for policy the system error no policy but cash deducted phone and told refund will be credited back but not sure when WHAT A JOKE

QBE are underwriters for ANZ NAB and several others. Avoid avoid avoid all forms of insurance from QBE and all resellers. Re employment insurance they commit fraud to avoid paying claims. Most likely extend this practice to all branches of insurance.

Have had nothing but problems with QBE for the last 6 months, QBE have not wanted to help with repairs that were conducted on my car from 2x separate claims, 1 for a rear end accident where another person hit me and then was made to lodge another claim b the repairer for hail damage.
Several emails back and forth, me requesting a assessor to come and assess the car after both repairs had been completed on my car, after 6 months my complaint was submitted to the complaints department, I was told to wait 14 business days for a response after 21 ...
Don't forget that your CTP insurance also covers YOUR injuries if you're the one at fault (or if it's a single-car accident). So if you value your life and health, do not go anywhere near this product. QBE denies, rejects, blocks all treatment if you're injured. They will not even help you for the most basic things. You'll be left with thousands of dollars out of pocket for medical expenses.
Bullies, terrible communication, lost emails, INEPT, a joke
I was involved in a both at fault minor accident in a car park. The woman was abusive, her car was beaten up. I stood in the sun on a Sunday for an hour to try and help her as the plastic bumper had popped off. I got a mechanic to help her. He said she just needed to get her camera senors glued back in "max $200" job. QBE contacted me in November, I provided my written evidence of what happened including photos. 7 months later they say they lost me email and demand I pay $2500 for the damage to her car. Abusive people at recoveries saying I have to provide evidence that I'm not at fault.. Pretty sure the burden of proof is on them. Reported to AFCA who said their conduct was shocking. Don't use them.
you're warned - sometimes very poor customer service
QBE seemed to offer the best value, but after wasting more than 30 minutes with Manila call centre staff who - on this occasion -had almost useless audio quality the first time, better on second call, then seemed to be totally disorganised and unaware of QBE's own procedures - I'm wondering whether its worth paying more for better service from another insurer, as customer service doesn't seem to be a priority for QBE. In my case, a simple windscreen enquiry, but the call centre staff were so inept on this occasion, incapable of even bringing ...up QBE webpage due to slow connection speeds there, putting me onto another staff who contradicted the first (and the contradicted the QBE webpage outlining windscreen procedures) then put me on hold for ten minutes until I gave up. No offence meant to Manila call centre generally, probably this is more part of a wider QBE corporate culture problem. Hopefully other insurers are not quite so bad, perhaps QBE is not always this bad - maybe I just was unlucky in this instance? All I know is that if I don't share this experience with someone it's drive me crazy...........
No Problems so far.
No problems with QBE so far and the cheapest insurance I could find. I got comprehensive insurance. Haven't yet made a claim, but the price during covid was very generous.
