Insulting - I paid $2000 cash to get some head lights and a mirror cover fixed - I was told the mirror cover was over $900 and they could not find a cheaper option! to prevent water damage. A cracked replacement mirror cover and they missed the indicator reflector! So I had to tape it up and they refused to rectify it. Not happy at all and they have banned me from coming to their workshop. I paid cash so they didn't record the transaction, paid cash as they wanted to avoid tax. So dodgy!!!!

I had a terrible experience . Poor workmanship, orange peel, pot marks and uneven overrun paint. They rush in and rush out and they say oh we have a one year warranty so we will come back and fix any issue. comes back. Saturday roles around and you wash your pride and joy. Then you can see the rest of the issues.. after him coming back after the owner said he would fix an issue for free he comes back and doesn’t do what the owner agreed with me !!! They offered to come back and take it to a spray booth and do it properly… no trust left

Had them repair a scratch and dent in a new (<6 months old) SUV on the Gold Coast. Initially fast turnaround and decent price (under $600 to respray entire rear door panel). However they damaged the door seal (1 cm tear) and didnt seat it properly. Took longer for them to respond to the fix than the initial door repair. Had to take it back in… Read more
again but they just superglued the tear and reinstalled it so it sat better but still not 100% (tha small lug is visible under the seal). In addition they left some superglue over the newly painted panel (yellow circle). Overall the initial panel repair job was quite good and decent value for money; however left with a damaged door seal and now glue on the panel means I wouldn't use them again.

On my previous car the rear bumper was so badly repaired by Bumper Tech Gold Coast that Gold Coast Mazda couldn't fit a new part! Other issues were over spray on the windows and a botched $800 (cash and no receipt) front bumper on my current car and a mark that wont come off as Gold Coast Bumper Tech said it was paint protection and could do nothing further. A near enough is good enough work ethic doesn't cut it and all jobs were rushed.

a rather aggressive manner. It escsaleted from there, I showed the mudflap, well did he do his nana! "It was all my fault!, I should have excactly , to the estimater what needed to be fixed and how". I was speechles, female, 83 years old, is this not the job off the assesor? Well no, that was my responsibility! I left as the owner became aggressive and I did not feel safe enough to stay. Coming home I found the installer did also not put back, the lights protector on the front. My advice: Don't ever use this business and certainly not if you are an elderly solo female! I am sorry I did.
Follow-up · the paint match job is ok. Bumper quality, I don't know one from the other. They Inspected the car, that was done only when I went to the workshop with my complaint, as I used their Mobile service.

Insurance, plus excellent service given it costs me less than my excess and no inconvenience of not having a vehicle for a week. Very eco friendly not having panels replaced every time it goes into a smash repair place.

the company and have someone else come out and buffed the paint. They did come out a 2nd time to buff the paint, but even after that the finish was no where near the factory paint finish, in addition there was a mark that couldn't be polished out. The technician said there appeared to be a finger print on the new paintwork beneath the clear coat. Additionally, I'm now getting a rear park sensors fault warning on my dash. Messaged Bumpertech about the above problems and never had any response back from them.
Follow-up · By way of an update to questions that have been asked. To date I have not heard back from Bumpertech, so the paint finish is still less than original and reverse sensor is still not work. I'm booking it in with my local Ford dealer to fix the problem with the rear sensor.

Could not fault the service provided by Bumper Tech, from attending to provide the quote and attending to complete the repairs. The initial approach from the Team Member providing the quote and the Team Member executing the repairs was excellent and gave you the impression they would do their best to give you the best outcome they could. The end results showed that. Well Done.

On 4 July Justin quoted $1000 cash to repair damage to the right hand rear of our Hyundai Excel and to replace two broken tail light covers. “It will be done next week” – 10-11 July. No show. tail light cover. We paid him $1,000 cash and received a receipt. He told us someone would come and fit the remaining tail light cover in the next day or so. After two weeks we contacted Bumpertech (Justin) and were told “It’s on the way.” This situation recurred several times. Nothing happened. After we contacted the area manager, Mike, who said he was unaware of all the promises, and we were then promised the job would be done on 26th August. No show. Gold Coast management are totally unreliable. Could not possibly recommend them. We note from other reviews that this is common behaviour, particularly when cash has been paid. No doubt the ATO would be interested. Agree with Micah, Rad and Vote that Gold Coast administration is appalling but their technicians such as Scott and Lyle are excellent.
Be really careful with these guys. They did my bumper, charged $550 dollars and did a terrible rushed job. The blend is terrible, the paint is noticeable orange peeled and the clear coat has tiny pock marks thoughout. The colour is also slightly off. their workshop, again they said it would get fixed and ghosted me again. I mentioned to the tech Scott at the time about the poor job he did, but I was an idiot and handed over the money. I wish I never paid as its going to cost me more to get it fixed. Avoid bumper tech.
After posting this review Justin rang me and said they would fix the job they did, which was nice. When I picked up my car they fixed the blend but nothing else. I pointed it out to the creepy guy who works in the office and he got defensive. I didn't feel comfortable around this guy so I left. As I was leaving he got angry and yelled I was a bad person. What a hero belittling women. Im still stuck with a terrible job.
Very unhappy with the Gold Coast branch. Was promised a loan car only to be informed after arriving at the agreed time that it was running late, so left my car there and was given an uber ride home. unsuccessfully to call them numerous times throughout the morning; they never seem to return calls or answer the phone, so took an uber to the workshop and arrived just after 2pm.
On arrival was told it would be at least another hour. I challenged him as to why I wasn’t informed of the delay. The staff member I spoke to (appeared to be some type of manager) just blamed other staff for not letting me know; no ownership of any communication issues was acknowledged even when they were told that their internal staff issues should not become customers’ issues
When I eventually collected my car, the “repair” was visible from meters away and poorly executed, the additional work requested had not been carried out, and the interior of the car which was clean and tidy when dropped off 2 days prior was filthy: covered in dust, hand prints on door trims, paint flakes all over the steering wheel etc. etc.
I would never recommend anyone use Bumper Tech Gold Coast: the workmanship is poor quality, communication even less so and they clearly have no care or respect for the vehicles they are repairing.
Don’t even consider them, just go elsewhere.

Follow-up · What a great bunch of guys! Repairer rocked up at our house. On the spot repairs. Sprayed very matching paintwork. Just about two hours +/ - for the whole job! Did I mention no mess? A very realistic quote.

Follow-up · Repairs were done to the drivers side back panel, where someone reversed into me! The cost was a lot less than our Excess, certainly worth it and only took a morning at our home to repair like new
