BAD BAD BAD. Ordered a new caravan shower vent with fan. Arrived missing all screws for installation and the plastic cover for the fan switch. I was repeatedly asked to provide photos of the missing parts!!!!!!!!!! Really??? They could not have tried harder to avoid providing the missing parts. In the end l gave up... frustrated with Bunnings.
I purchased a suitcase set via Marketplace in 2023. After raising a legitimate issue, a refund was eventually approved (see screenshot). That should have resolved the matter.
Instead, it has become an exercise in delay and extreme avoidance from their end.
I clearly explained that the original payment card is no longer accessible to me and is linked to a third party. Refunding to that card would send the money to someone else. I requested a simple and reasonable alternative: bank transfer.
THREE YEARS LATER – still complete silence. Despite my following up as recently as three weeks ago (see screenshot).
No response. No update. No accountability.
This is not a complicated request. It is basic consumer law compliance and basic customer service. Extremely disappointing experience.

returned the item to the seller over one month ago. In that time the seller wanted to deduct a 15% restocking charge to my refund once returned, which wasn’t listed in their original terms of conditions. They countlessly tried every delay tactic to delay the full refund. It wasn’t until I informed Bunnings and the seller, I was going to lodge a dispute with Paypal and report the seller to the ACCC, I then received my refund. I will never purchase from Bunnings Marketplace again and I advise others not to either…its a shonky set up with shonky third party sellers!
Follow-up · The refund amount was $170. The sellers communication was very poor, as they constantly tried to side track the request for a full refund. They were probably hoping I would give up the request. The item was a robot vacuum cleaner.
I forgot to add it took nearly a full 3 months to receive my refund, after countless correspondence back and forth with the seller and Bunnings.
Ordered mattress online and paid delivery fee, but found out they use a useless courier company , l tried to cancel order but have just been told hope it turns up and ignored my cancellation request . Never again bunnings

After 8 interactions using this 'contact seller' button, the seller eventually told me they didn't have the item and would issue a refund None of the interactions could be seen when i logged in to bunnings, the whole time from The bunnings Web site, the item was reported as delivered, no dispute was noted, no tracking of the dispute is available The only time i saw any reference to bunnings' lack of involvement in the transaction was in the transaction receipt. They even changed the description of the purchase (in purchase history) to something else, 4 weeks after the transaction was made. share, carrying items you would not expect to ever see at a "hardware" store. There's quite an interesting 4-corners episode on ABC iView to understand how Bunning's operate and treat suppliers. I am moving my 100% of my business to Mitre 10 to support the local owner, not the monopoly player. And yes it's all comparable on price but at least you support a "local operator". Oh, and the complaint about marketplace, you're just the middle-man once more and don't get involved, yet leave an otherwise "Bunning's Customer" in the lurch to sweep up the mess and to try and deal with even worse 'sellers' who use your platform. Bunnings need to much more carefully vet and monitor Marketplace sellers. Delivery can be extremely slow and they make you get customer service directly from the seller rather than offering any help. Bunnings need to monitor these issues and kick off the bad sellers from the platform. Wesfarmers closed down Catch but really just created something worse with the Bunnings brand slapped on that brings down the reputation of Bunnings stores too.
I absolutely hate the Marketplace on Bunnings. I made some purchases not knowing they come from third party vendors. If I would have known that I wouldn't have done so. Not a fan. A lot of online stores are like this now with their marketplaces

TEMU! Terrible service. Purchased once and would not do it again. bought a pond pump from Marketplace Timeless saving, it doesn’t fit my plumbing, it didn’t have descriptions, and Bunnings doesn’t sell adapter. Took back to Bunnings store for return and was told to do it online instead, the seller however refused due to the time has exceeded the 14 days return policy for 2 days (weekend)! And the seller even asked me to resell it somewhere else, though the item has not been used, and is in original condition to sell again. Doggy TEMU sellers and I’m still waiting to hear from Bunnings support if they take any responsibility, otherwise it will be $130 in water that’s not a merry Xmas. The seller and transport company guaranteed me that the missing package would be delivered by now but its too late. I needed the Blue Stand up Paddle board (the missing one) by today for a present. I ordered it on the 27/11 which allowed plenty of time for delivery as a 5-7 day delivery was guaranteed. I have since requested a refund which has not been provided. I had to go out yesterday and pay double for a replacement gift because of this.
