Bad service. Billed for damage that never occured. Use at your own risk – I will start of with a fair comment. The car, a fairly new Audi Q5 was delivered promptly to my hotel. at the airport. However unlike the major car rental companies which maintain an office and presence in the terminal, if you opt to return a Burswood car, you would have to return it at a an isolated carpark 10 minutes away from the terminal and drop off the key.

As there is no handover process, if there is any damage to the car AFTER you drop the car off at this isolated airport, you would certainly be held liable.

I had been driving the car for all of 150km over 2 days with an infant and did not get into any accident whatsoever. Hence my surprise when I was billed $240 for damage. I was told that pictures would be attached as proof but none were.

When I called up, customer service were lackadaisical and said that they couldn't really follow up with this and accounts would have to handle this. It is difficult for me to follow up on this as I do not live in Perth.

min delay in return for petrol top up after ute rental and friendly staff member was there on return to airport of mid size car (Holden) who even drove me, my 6 year old and my luggage to the departure section as no trolley could be located). Everyone was amazed at the rates to rent the ute as I was picking up furniture to furnish my new place in Perth. I was very happy with the company. I would recommend to be very precise with times at airports as this will ensure the best rate for you in terms of carparking. Once I understood their system (drop off the cars in the short term carparking and leave keys in safe inside car as close as possible to the mentioned time) I made sure to communicate directly with the agency about times on the day to reconfirm. Great communication when there was a pbm (like not enough ropes in my case to secure loads).

however, we had a fender rub in a parking lot. When we called the office to report it, they gave us some simple instructions and they took a deposit for the damage (which turned out to be nothing on our car, and some scraped paint on the other). When they took the deposit, they said they would refund the difference between the deposit and the actual charges (they predicted that the charges would be much less than the deposit). A few weeks after, we contacted them again and they said the difference would be returned the following day, which turned out to be true! Throughout that stressful period, they were very helpful, very sympathetic and honest. We were very happy with our experience with Burswood, and rented from them again a few weeks later. Bad experience – Stay clear of this car rental company if you do not want to pay for damage that either doesn’t exist or you did not cause! so asked to see CCTV footage from where we left the car and also a video of the damage to the car, showing the car’s registration plate. After asking several times they have declined to provide either. So basically, I think they prey on tourists who they know are flying out and have no way of seeing the damage for themselves. No doubt this is something they do regularly so avoid this company at all costs.

Extremely satisfied – Due to an unexpected breakdown I needed a vehicle in a hurry a few days before Christmas. This rental was a test run for another possible rental after our hike. Needless to say we hired another car. Once again, the service was great, they remembered my mother in law, which was nice. The car was excellent again. We hired the car for 12 days and it was faultless.

I thoroughly recommend Burswood. They were much cheaper than the alternatives, and a mere 10 minutes from Perth centre. Pick up and drop off was a breeze.

Couldn’t recommend them more! – So easy to deal with! They didn’t try scare mongering you into buying loads of unnecessary cover for things. No hidden costs and was a very reasonable price compared to the bigger rental companies. The car was great and was delivered directly to our hotel.
