us, as we need a working fridge without paying more money. Tarik began to raise his voice and said things like, “I’m not going to play your little games” and “You can make all the threats you want, I don’t care.” and "just say it, you want a new fridge, just admit it"

Apparently, mentioning Fair Trading is considered a “threat” that warrants an aggressive response.

We just want a working fridge and some understanding for the situation, not someone who becomes confrontational and won’t let me speak.

refurbished or factory seconds. • Tampered compliance stickers – The product arrived with altered or removed compliance/warranty stickers, making it impossible to receive support from Samsung. • Zero after-sales support – Despite 10+ phone calls and multiple emails, they repeatedly refused to take responsibility or offer warranty coverage. • Rude and dismissive service – Every interaction was met with rudeness and a refusal to address the issue.

This is by far the worst purchasing experience I have had with any Australian retailer. The combination of false advertising, tampering with warranty compliance, and complete lack of accountability is unacceptable. Bottom line: Do not risk your money, time, or peace of mind. Avoid this company at all costs.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Microwave was faulty out of box! Got clearance from Sharp for it to be returned day after delivery for exchange with an APPROVED case number. needed within 14 days faulty item returns and store was to call them if they had a problem with it. Store refused to do so. Days between emails ensued and microwave is now out of stock. Will need to purchase elsewhere at higher price. Went to Fair Trading. After doing so, the store told me 'I' needed to return the microwave to them to be 'inspected', (even though Sharp has deemed it faulty) and the store policy states they cover return shipping of faulty items! 'Buy Smarte' now have to deem it faulty since they don't have an RA number and they won't cover shipping. EVEN THOUGH SHARP HAS DEEMED IT SO AND I SENT THE STORE A RECORDING OF THE SOUND IT'S MAKING UPON THEIR REQUEST! (I didn't need to as I already had it approved by Sharp to be returned).

They refused to call Sharp as requested by them if they have an issue. Why? This should have been a simple exchange! I now need to take this to the Tribunal. They said they have trouble returning things to Sharp that's why they need an RA number. Why do they have trouble? So had I got another brand, I wouldn't have needed one? Their problem returning items to Sharp, is not mine, yet it's become my problem! I should not be financially burdened for this business not taking this microwave back the day after I received it! This should have been so simple! Just go with a much bigger business with a well-known name! Once bitten, twice shy!

Beware the "Factory Second"!! – I bought a "Factory Second" soundbar and it was clearly second hand. They did not even bother to try to make it look new! The power cords were just wrapped around themselves, there were marks on the bottom where the previous owner had them resting. Their response was just to restate that it was a factory second. Going through Fair Trading now.

Damaged my house upon delivery – Upon delivery they ruin my door frame and my floor. The delivery guys apologise and said they were reporting back to the company so we could get this fixed. No one ever reached out I followed up multiple times with no solution. It's been 4 months and every time I called they say they will get someone to fix and let me waiting forever!

combined with the purchase price, still came out slightly cheaper than all other retailers (JB, Good Guys, Harvey Norman. So I decided to make the purchase. Below is how my purchase through Buy Smarte played out.

Cyber Monday (28-Nov) 11:37am: I created an account 11:46am: I placed my order, with payment via credit card. 11:46am: I received a “New order” email confirming my order number and details of my order (item I had ordered, postage address, etc) 11:46am: Received e-invoice 12:13pm: Received email notifying that my order status has been updated to “packing for Cope” 12:14pm: Received email with my full invoice attached 1:22pm: Received email notifying that my order status has been updated to “Dispatched”, and that my item was being shipped by Allied Express. The email also contained my tracking number and a link to the Allied Express website.

Tuesday 29-Nov -No updates

Wed 30-Nov 6:46am: Freight status updated to being onboard with driver for delivery 2:20pm: I received a phone call from the courier driver checking that someone was home to take delivery. I confirmed. 2:30pm: courier arrived and I helped him unload my new tv. It was the correct model and the box has no signs of damage.

Overall I was extremely happy with my purchase through BuySmarte and highly recommend them.

Next morning on Thursday at approx 8.30am I received a phone call from the courier driver to indicate they are approx. 30min away. This was then followed up by an SMS confirming same. Delivery occurred at 9am. It was delivered in perfect condition. I unpacked the tv and had it all set up on its stand all in less than a day from the time of purchase. I am writing this review because this was an excellent online shopping experience. Communication could not have been better. The price was good and importantly, the tv was delivered in perfect condition and in the time frame promised. Thank you BuySmarte. I highly recommend this shop and I hope they maintain these high standards as I intend to purchase again in the future.

concerned about making such a large purchase from a remote supplier but after doing a bit of online due diligence and speaking directly to the company the deal on offer was too good to pass up.

When the TV arrived the screen was damaged and the item had to be replaced and I thought "Oh no maybe I have set myself up for a fall". I quickly found out there was nothing to worry about.

Steve from Buy Smarte got hold of the replacement within a few days despite the one originally supplied to me being the last in stock. There was no messing around with Steve showing by action rather than words that he knows his business - the damaged set was picked up and gone within a couple of days and the new one is now up and working brilliantly.

The guys who fitted the set told me they came across three damaged sets that day which would need replacement, putting this situation in context as not being that unusual for television sets supplied locally by the bigger outlets.

I would not hesitate to deal with Buy Smarte in future. Overall a very impressive performance and outstanding price so think about giving them a go.

Broken Samsung TV! – Hello I bought a Samsung TV from you 3 years ago. Today, the screen went black and only sound is coming out. It’s turning on and then off again. It’s not functioning properly. Under Australian Consumer Law, it is reasonable to expect a Samsung TV to last for more than 3 years. I’d like a replacement please. I’ve emailed and no one has responded.

Scammer – Very cheap and nasty products that do not out last the warranty yet they don't honour them. Avoid these scammers. Also see how they treat customers in their review responses. That's enough to shop elsewhere.

Cant live without it – I bought my Aircon on the Tuesday and was delivered to my home on the Friday as promised. The price was fantastic as it was $400.00 cheaper than the retail shops. Unfortunately, companies that have gone rogue after gaining the trust of their customers aren't rare. The customers ripped off by the recent "Home Appliances Plus" fiasco, might have faired better had they read the reviews (1.2 out of 5 on this review site). Shout out to ProductReviews. As Always, caveat emptor.

P.S. BuySmarte earned 4.4 out of 5. That's a respectable difference, especially considering that consumers can't give a score of less than 1 out of 5. Seems a bit unfair that a seller gets a 20% positive score, no matter how bad they are.

This crap is bussin – I thought the sound bar could of been kinda crap because it was a factory second refurbished model. Its been going strong for 12 months, it was half the price ($400) of JB-hifi ($800) for the same product. Shipped to my address (for free) so I didn’t have to worry about going to a store and driving it back. The product was the [Samsung HW-Q60T 5.1ch Acoustic Beam soundbar]
