Overpriced poorly trained, don't follow their own policies stay the heck away – On the 16th of July I organised someone to come out to do an insurance report on my phone as it was damaged, several buzzageek operators cancelled but someone finally turned up on the 19th of July. I chose buzzageek which at a price of $160 was the most expensive insurance report I've ever paid for as they promised someone would be there within 24… Read more

hours and the report would be same day.

On the 22nd of July I received the "insurance report"

Which was just an email that stated the following "Category: Insurance claim assessment

Reference number: 11666

Job description: Insurance report for Samsung flip device

Please find photo of damaged phone as evidence.

We have found the phone screen to be faulty and damaged in the bottom 1/3rd of the screen. "

As you can imagine this does not satisfy as being evidence for most insurance companies, I don't know any that it would.

I lodged a complaint and was then told that they hadn't used the template and it would be redone.

On the 28th of July 2022 a report was finally provided, 12 days after initially rendering their services. By this point I had already engaged someone else and had the phone replaced over a week ago as they dragged their feet so slowly.

I immediately invoked their 30 day service refund policy, on the 28th of July, which I have not heard anything back from and will be lodging a complaint with the relevant ombudsman.

Bryce arrived punctually, reviewed the issues with my cnPilot e410 wireless extenders, carried out a factory reset and set them up with new password. During testing the units he found a cabling fault on the supply to one of the units and left it set up for future use when I can can get my friendly electrician to replace the faulty cable. Much better service than previously given by one of Buzz A Geek's competitors.

Chris is very helpful and patient when dealing with me, an elderly and untech savvy client. He was able to resolve our problem remotely with a good outcome. Happy to recommend him as a echnician.

Excellent service. The technician John arrived slightly ahead of the scheduled time and quickly resolved a problem that had been bedevilling me for days, namely the inability of my computer to communicate with my printer.

WORST IT support company EVER!!! – Stay AWAY! Worst service ever! They shut-down my emails as I had an overdue invoice for work which was never finished. I double-paid because they needed the money immediately to re-open my email access ($638), so I used my CC as well as funds transfer. Now they wont return funds! is also still incomplete! Chris Edwards (owner) has no ethics or morals! The only way to explain such extortion tactics is that the company may be going under / closing down, so DON'T give them money in advance for any services! I will now contact the Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast) Police to see if they can do anything quickly, otherwise I will have to take legal action.

Inexperienced technician – I used Buzz a Geek to have a TP link modem set up for parental controls (so the kids aren’t on the internet after 10pm each weeknight). switching off completely with no internet at all now. Dodo have confirmed it’s the new modem not the internet connection. I called Buzz a Geek to ask how this happened and was told I’d be charged a further $40 for every 15 minutes of assistance over the phone and they wouldn’t attend again for nothing as it worked for two days. Not happy and will never use again. Wish the technician was more of a geek so we received what we paid for.

being completely Computer Illiterate I did not know Microsoft was dumping everything into One Drive. A File with limited capacity and a Fee to keep access; or block that access which is what they did to me. Every File in Saved Folders suddenly had an X in a Red Dot and was blocked. I contacted Chris at Buzz a Geek office and told him the problem. He then logged on and spent the next 45 minutes "cleaning and restoring "my PC. He fixed everything, at much effort and care. I am very happy with the work Daniel did for me . I had an older computer which he said he could adjust to accomodate Windows 11, but given my limited knowkedge on the computer suggested I buy another computer. He suggested one that would meet my needs and transferred all information I needed onto that plus assisting me with security. all in all he was efficient and helpfull. Thank you. Judy Show reply

Didn’t turn up – I’d booked a technician to be at my home at 3pm. When no one showed by 3:45pm I rang to see if there was a problem. Professionalism – Chris Edwards @ Buzz A Geek does not pay his contractors, He will happily take money from the customers and put it into his pocket and then refuses to pay or short pays Invoices! Integrity & exceptional I.T knowledge – Christos came to update my very old computer. He took it away and within a few days brought it back and now it is working like a brand new laptop. Nothing Fixed! – I had a laptop problem and Kris came out last week. He could not fix nor find the problem. just put me aside. I argued with the Technician that my time was just as valuable and that I would not pay the account of $553 but would pay $400 He agreed then sent me an account for the full amount of $553. After two weeks they relented and sent me the account of $400. Which they wanted me to pay into a bank account. I refused and said that I wanted to pay via credit card so they sent me a link to pay it that way. Shonky business practices so I would be very wary using this company. For $135 per hour I expect a lot more than what I got. Chris the technician made vail threats in my home as well as in an email which made my wife very uncomfortable

Poor in every form – Technician was useless and had zero knowledge of any semi advanced computer. I requested a check to the build before operation and asked to install my overclock, he simply said no. He sat around for two hours reading a bloody manual and trying to understand the tower. Followed up with a complaint, no reply or partial refund/fix to my continued issues. Never use this company.

Solution at last – After many hours of unsuccessful remote access by Lenovo and then Brother, Chris from BuzzaGeek finally fixed the connection problem between my laptop and printer. A very pleasant communicator and I'm a very happy customer. I can highly recommend BuzzaGeek.
