Great promotion, but everything else feels below the line – Took a NBN connection for 50/20 speed. Connected on the day as promised, however had speed issues. The tech support guys wanted me to seat around the router and keeping running the speed test and send them plenty of samples in a 24 hr period. Upon sending them with many screenshots, they stated they want some screenshots during certain hours.… Read more
Upon refusing to keep sending any further screenshots, i was provided a resolution as to either send the screenshot or they can terminate the service at the end of the month.
Really unhappy about this resolution. I will surely move out when the time and situation permits. Ended up cancelling the service myself.
Run away. Absolutely horrible service and customer service. Never did their job – Stay away forever. This is literally the worst internet provider of all time. Constant lies and false promises and the service was never connected. Show details
Took my money and ran away! – As you all know, Buzz Telco has shut down ... made a deposit to get my services running once NBN is available in my area and now they're gone! All communications have been shut down and there will be no way I can get my deposit back. Very dissapointed indeed. Show details

Horrible start. No problems since getting connected – Buzz Telco is a tough one to rate. I had initially signed up with them as a preorder AND paid for the first month after back and forth correspondence with their store reps. Once NBN was ready in my area, I notified them and troubles started. Right off the bat, they told me that the modem that I was supposed to get was no longer available and that… Read more
they would send me a different modem "compatible with my service type". That claim turned out to be false. This replacement modem they were to send out was NOT VoIP-enabled and was definitely NOT the same as what I had signed up for. I had to purchase a entirely different modem on my own.
One other significant problem that I ran into was the 2-month connection time. The store reps couldn't come to a consensus on what the real reason was. They just gave one excuse after another after another after another. It was very frustrating because while all reps but one (Schaelee) offered no real solutions apart from "just wait", I had no working phoneline for that time period and had to contact my previous ISP to negotiate to keep having internet at home. Buzz Telco claimed no responsibilities and attributed the whole fiasco to NBNco's faults. I think Buzz Telco was careless in initialising the installation process when everything was not ready.
Since getting connected, I have had exactly 1 dropout on the second day which lasted 24 hours. This dropout could have been resolved much earlier as it turned out. Apparently, they simply had to flip a switch and reset my connection on their end, which they didn't think to do till I contacted them 24 hours later to get an update on the dropout.
However, so far, my connection reaches the max speed for my speed tier at all times with absolutely no issues at all. I'm very happy with the performance on all counts.
Great cheap isp I would recommend to anyone – To be honest I thought buzz would be crap I gave them a go no signup fee and no contract but I have to say I’m suprised I am on fttp in Perth and I get between 85 to 95 on speed test anytime off day. They have poi here so pings are great and all traffic routes locally in wa! Was on my republic and they never had that I had issues… Read more
activating my port and just wanted to say tech support was great the guy on phone and manager spent over 2 hours helping me out trying to get it working now over 24 hours really good service and appreciate it !! In the end we got it working and tech support is in Australia so you get people with common sense and no support idiot on the end asking oh sir I will have to escalate call after 2 min or blame it on your modem
Give them a go you have nothing to lose if you don’t like it just cancel if you do you have just found one of cheapest Australian based isp with local support unlimited downloads and great pings.
Good Price, Good Connection, Bad Customer Service and Billing – Buzz Telco is cheap. Really cheap. This is the biggest appeal to an ISP you may not have heard of before. Before moving into out property with FTTP I signed up online and put our moving date in the order notes. This was a week or so before moving in. Upon move-in date, we had no connection. Their phone support queue took forever, sometimes so… Read more
long that I was disconnected and had to call back and wait again. But when I did finally get through to support they were Australian based and helpful. Turns out I was connected, however, there was a network-wide outage and my setup email with my details was never sent.
The connection is good. Fast speeds with an okay ping.
The billing is bad. I've never been overcharged but have been sent several overdue notices as they don't take the money even when I have PayPal auto-billing set up. I've also gone months without being billed, only to be sent multiple all at once.
For the price, I'm willing to put up with this. YMMV.
Positive reviews
Stable connection for less price – I have used their NBN from north Sydney. Connection setup was fairly quick. Speed was pretty good and stable. Their support is not that good but has chat and call option to reach out to them. I would recommend Buzz Telco Show details
Insane value for money! – So I had a few teething issues initially with these guys (geolocation placing me in the wrong city and some sites not loading), but after this was corrected, my speeds are phenomenal, even during peak which is where the real test is! Mitch, Alexander and the team at Buzz Telco have always offered great levels of service and I've always got through… Read more
to their customer service line within a few minutes.
I am on their 100/40 NBN plan and I get very close to these speeds, which you don't see with a lot of providers.
Given I'm saving about $35/month on what I was paying with the previous provider, I couldn't be happier.
Thanks, Buzz!
Budget provider with a great service – Quick connection time, sufficient customer service response time and the speeds are fast (FTTP). No contracts, so just give them a try.
Negative reviews
SCAM – They have a 2 or more price attractive campaigns. A few of my apartments used ther $59/month 100Mb plan, and then they brought out another plan which waive the $300 new development and for $69/month 100Mb. They first 4 apartment I got charged $59 for the second months and used it for 3 days .... then they shut down, never contactable. The last… Read more
apartment I got charge $69 and has never been connected cuz they never submit the application to NBN.
This is totally scaming when they realize that their service contract is to be terminated by Vocus Ltd very soon, and they bring out those very cheap campaign to bait us.
Anyone know who should i report to? I'm in Melbourne but their company is in Queensland.
Terrible. Drop outs. Poor customer service – The connection drops out continuously. Have provide them the screenshots as I cant even access NETFLIX and Youtube keeps LOADING most of the times. Poor customer service as i will be kept waited for more than 30 mins on call and still i don't get hold of anyone over the phone. So logged the ticket online on Wednesday, March 21st, still no… Read more
one care or bother to address the issue and they keep asking the same old questions.
The modem was provided by them.
OMG TERRIBLE – This company should not exist- I cannot comment on the network they provide as I am STILL waiting for my modem but their customer service is absolutely shocking!! SO SO RUDE. Show details

What rubbish! – NBN 100/40 FTTN Service had bad customer support, issues with slow browsing and web pages not loading. Then there is the issue of connecting via IPoE on their terrible network. I have 5 different modem routers here and only 1 would connect! The service is cheap but my warning is you get what you pay for with Buzz Telco. Avoid if possible!

It was fine before the outage – Been with this guys with 100mbps for 5 months. It was amazing at the first but it feels like getting slow esp after the afternoon. Outage was not good but they fixed my line early for some reasons. I guess they are fine for the price but not the best quality

Awesome so far! – Cheap Fast Good service Came from a MUCH more expensive RSP but due to fixed wireless tower congestion speeds are no different Very happy so far! Show reply
Great prices, good customer service, but unstable connection – Been with NBN connection with 100 Mbps speed pack for 6 months. Set-up process was amazingly fast. However, dropouts happened frequently. It's very stable in the morning, but at night (I guess it's peak hours), it takes ages to load a YouTube video. Usually after contacting customer support, the issue was resolved immediately the following day. However, the dropouts would happen again after a few days.

Good service & great price – FTTN NBN on the 50/20 plan, signed up during their promotional pricing - paying less than half the amount as my previous provider, still getting full speeds at all times of the day, customer service is helpful when needed. No complaints at all so far, very happy with the service for the price! No drop outs, no congestion. All good! Show reply
Good when you get the right staff – Have been with Buzz nearly 6 months across 2 addresses - FTTN NBN 100/40mbps. Speeds are great and consistent via Ethernet cable. Unfortunately there are only a few staff members who know what they are doing in the office and if you don't get them on the phone you will be given the run around. I've just come back online after 8 days with no… Read more
connection due to an account error on Buzz's end. Over the course of 8 days miscommunication was rife and I only got back online because I persisted with waiting over an hour on hold to finally get picked up by an Operations Manager who troubleshooted over the phone - something that should've been done within days.

Good prices, Terrible customer service – NBN connection with 100 Mbps speed pack. The internet service was up in 2 days but lost my home phone number during the number porting process. I was told it's in the process of being ported for over a month. Poor customer service with no updates. The speeds were good most of the time.

Some initial bumps in the road but overall happy with Buzz Telco – Very good service from Buzz Telco. Initially had some NBN connection issues but it turned out to be a problem with the NBN upgrades which effected some locations. This issue was out of Buzz Telco hands, Buzz were professional and very helpful in the resolution of this issue. Good plans/rates and good customer service. The modem was sent out and received quite fast, a few days.
Cheap, fast! – - HFC NBN - First signed-up with MyRepublic and waited for 3 months but still no internet, then I swithced to BuzzTelco and got connected next week. - There's outage few month ago, but then they fixed the issue and it is very reliable since then. - Very easy to contact with CS through web chat.

Better support and same internet as large telcos – Requested NBN connection and was connected in about 8hr. Internet speed is great, no problem with local streaming during peak hours. My queries were all answered promptly by Live Chat and phone support. Can't ask for more at the great price I sign up for.
Perfect - exceeded all expectations – Amazing ISP had a nightmare few months with MyRepublic speeds as low as 4mbs down during peak periods. I have stress tested my new Buzz Telco 100/40 and it hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down or congestion. Speeds are always hitting beyond 90 down and 32 up. Alexander was superb. He had me connected within less then 24 hours. With this sort of connection you would expect to pay upwards of $100 per month.
Good ISP – Moved to Buzz for the NBN purely for the price. As such I had no great expectations in terms of customer service, but I've been impressed. Only a week to set-up and great communication via email, and the service has been uninterrupted.
Changed over to Buzz Telco a month ago, good speeds no issues – I switched my NBN service over to Buzz Telco about a month ago. Activation was quick and smooth and service has been fast and reliable so far.
Perfect since switching from another ISP – Signed up for the 50/20 Mbps plan when it was on offer in early January. Was skeptical at first due to their issues in mid-2017 because it sounds too good to be true but there was nothing to lose. Have been getting consistent speeds based in Carlisle in WA of 46/19 Mbps ever since. Just hop on to Whirlpool forum and speak to Mitch if you ever have any problems.
Great customer support – Been a customer for months now, very reliable service and great customer support. Very affordable compared to other providers. Thanks Buzz Telco!
No mess no fuss! – Easiest Telco experience of my life, Called up Buzz and spoke to a sales rep and asked all the questions i wanted. I then ordered NBN online... Next day service was up and running with zero hiccups since... No mess no fuss...
Very good value – I’ve read that Buzz Telco had some issues last year, but my experience has been great. I’m on FTTP and consistently get speeds around 90mbps, even in peak. Their support has always been helpful and I usually only have to wait a couple of minutes to speak to someone through live chat (not that I need to talk to support often!). For the price Buzz Telco is amazing!
